The above mentioned stratagem which has been said and applied practically by many politicians and philosophers is the one which we must currently adhere to.
The Indian express on 25.4.16 reported “ Days after China raised objections to India issuing a visa to Germany-based Uighur leader Dolkun Isa to visit Dharamsala for a conference later this month, New Delhi withdrew the visa Monday, leaving several red faces in the government.”
The hindustan times as well on 28.4.16 reported ” India has withdrawn visas granted to two well-known Chinese dissidents, Lu Jinghua and Ray Wong, who were set to attend a China-focused conference on democracy in Dharamsala.”
This flip-flip does not sound good from a govt which is looked upon to be decisive and consistent in its policies especially on the foreign policy front which is supposed to be its star. Why is it that sometimes we Indians misplace our sense for bravado? Why is that sensationalism gets over us whenever China vetoes our proposals to sanction Pakistani-based terrorist organizations? Why is it that we are shocked whenever China decides to defend Pakistan instead of berating it?.The answer lies in the simple fact that China sees Pakistan as a card to play against us so as to stop us from reaching on par with them or even higher than them. They see us as a potential nuisance which must be kept busy by the like of Pakistan.
When the chinese vetoed our proposal to sanction masood azhar which was infact supported by 15 other nations as well we were right in criticizing them in public as well as in private when Def min,Foreign min as well as the NSA met their respective counterparts.
But
When the Indian govt extended the visa to Dolkun Isa to visit dharmashala only to revoke it we had a serious loss of face.Extending a visa to him was an extremely miscalculated step which could have led to larger confrontation with china.China may invite Indian dissidents to speak against us on chinese soil because they are much more powerful than us economically as well as militarily and if we go at the UN shouting against it no one is going to care because china is not the china of mao’s era where it was near to 0 in every field but today it is almost a superpower equivalent to the US and the US also sees to it that it does not upset the Chinese far too much.
We need to learn from the chinese the art of confusing, puzzling communication and deception. The chinese are the masters of it.When everybody thought that china’s rise would be peaceful and it would not attempt to challenge the status quo, everyone was bewildered when it lay claim to the whole of south china sea the west and south east asia were stupefied and hence the myth of china’s peaceful rise was busted.
We need to adopt the saying of deng xiaoping- Keep a cool head and maintain a low profile. Never take the lead – but aim to do something big.

It is necessary for us to keep a low-profile as of now and not to indulge in too many geo-political surprises but when our time comes we must shed the robe of cowardliness and show our true and new avatar which must depict boldness and balance.

Hinduism as Sanatana Dharma is called since many ages is a corrupt name for Sanatana Dharma, the word hinduism is derived from the river Indus which was originally known as Sindhu and the river Sindhu was considered as a limit/border by the persians for their empires and they replaced the “S” in Sindhu with “I” and it became Indus so as to suit their tongue.
So what do we make of this Sanatana Dharma[henceforth shortened to SD] today which has for a very very long period of time fought the onslaught of Mughals in the form of Shivaji,Rana Pratap,Krishna devraya,Ranjit singh, etc & from the british and its missionaries through Raja ram mohan roy,Vivekanand,MG Ranade,Rama krishna Parmahansa, etc by continuous social reform when the ethnic populations of modern day Iran,Egypt,Iraq and Syria were wiped out in a period of 10-15 years but SD still absorbed the blows and moved on becuause SD was always evolving, progressing and unfolding new ideas by blending other philosophies for eg,sufism.
But
In modern India a different image is being charted for SD and it is being increasingly painted as anti-minority,anti-progressive,anti-logical as well as anti-intellectual.SD is being victimized for no reason. The philosophy which always talks about “vasudaiva kutumbhkam” and world peace is being shown in the light of Taliban and boko hharam. The followers of SD who gave refugee to the Parsis and jews when they were being killed in huge numbers on their own lands are being called anti-minority! what an irony!.The followers of SD who allowed to build the Islam’s second oldest mosque are being called anti-Muslim!.
It is necessary to change the perception of SD.What is the thorn in the flesh of SD that continues to bother us even today despite SD’s continuous nature of change and progress?-Caste-system.
Caste is a European innovation having no semblance in Vedic culture.
For eg:-
a. Aitareya Rishi was son of a Daasa or criminal but became a Brahmin of highest order and wrote Aitareya Brahman and Aitareyopanishad. Aitareya Brahman is considered critical to understand Rigveda.
b. Ailush Rishi was son of a Daasi, gambler and of low character. However he researched on Rigveda and made several discoveries. Not only was he invited by Rishis but also made an Acharya. (Aitareya Brahman 2.19)
c. Satyakaam Jaabaal was son of a prostitute but became a Brahmin.
d. Prishadh was son of King Daksha but became a Shudra. Further he did Tapasya to achieve salvation after repenting.
(Vishnu Puran 4.1.14)
Had Tapasya been banned for Shudra as per the fake story from Uttar Ramayan, how could Prishadh do so?
e. Nabhag, soon of King Nedishtha became Vaishya. Many of his sons again became Kshatriya. (Vishnu Puran 4.1.13)
f. Dhrist was son of Nabhag (Vaishya) but became Brahmin and his son became Kshatriya (VP 4.2.2)
g.Further in his generation, some became Brahmin again (VP 9.2.23)
h. As per Bhagvat, Agniveshya became Brahmin though born to a king.
i. Rathotar born in Kshatriya family became a Brahmin as per Vishnu Puran and Bhagvat.
j. Haarit became Brahmin though born to Kshatriya (VP 4.3.5)
k. Shaunak became Brahmin though born in Kshatriya family. (VP 4.8.1). In fact, as per Vayu Puran, Vishnu Puran and Harivansh Puran, sons of Shaunak Rishi belonged to all four Varnas.
Similar examples exist of Gritsamad, Veethavya and Vritsamati.
l. Matanga was son of Chandal but became a Brahmin.
m. Raavan was born from Pulatsya Rishi but became a Rakshas.
n. Pravriddha was son of Raghu King but became a Rakshas.
o. Trishanku was a king but became a Chandala.
p. Sons of Vishwamitra became Shudra. Vishwamitra himself was a Kshatriya who later became a Brahmin.
q. Vidur was son of a servant but became a Brahmin and minister of Hastinapur empire.
From the above mentioned instances you can underscore the flexibility of SD but I must say in modern day it has no relevance and no one follows it.Either the system must be made flexible to suit today’s India or it must be completely abolished wherein everyone is just a hindu and only for religious functions it should be invoked.
This system which was used to be flexible has lost relevance and instead of uniting hindus it is dividing them more and more.

India’s influence over Japan. i.indiaopines.com/ameyav/indias-influence-over-japan/

India the cradle of world civilization has influenced people and nations from the far off lands ranging from south east asia, china, central asia. Her varied culture and philosophies have been praised and incorporated into various doctrines particularly the Upanishads and Vedas.
“If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India.”-Max mueller.
“India conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border.”-Hu Shih (Former Ambassador of China to USA.
“India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. Our most valuable and most artistic materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only!” -Mark twain
____________________________________________
One might have heard of reach till china,SE Asia and central asia but many few know of her impact on lifestyle and culture of japan.India has had a profound effect on the religion and traditions. Many hindu gods are revered and prayed in Japan such as Ganesha,Kartik,Lakshmi,Saraswati,Yama and a dozen more .
Indra or Sakra or Śakro devānām indraḥ. A major Hindu god who serves as king of the gods on Mt. Sumeru (Jp. = Shumisen 須弥山), and as a protector of the Historical Buddha (Shaka 釈迦如来). Known as Taishakuten 帝釈天 in Japan, one of the Twelve Deva, and often shown together with Bonten (Skt. = Brahma).
Myo-o 明王 (Myō-ō, or Mantra Kings). A class of Hindu deities incorporated into Buddhism. They appear in wrathful forms with furious faces, and multipe heads and arms to frighten non-believers into accepting the teachings ofDainichi Buddha 大日如来 (Skt. = Vairocana or Mahavairocana).
Ganesha was one of the first Indian deities to transit to Japan, and as in India, is one of the most popular in both esoteric and non-esoteric sects. Perhaps this is because his association with worldly prosperity has been retained, or perhaps amplified into a general association with pleasure. Thus, actors, geishas, gamblers, restaurant proprietors, etc offer him worship. Shoten has retained the association for removing obstacles, although his ancient association with creating obstacles which has long since been expunged from the Hindu tradition is still mildly active in Japan for reasons which will become clear later.
Shiva/Daijizaiten: This is the form of Shiva, which more resembles the Indian version. Daijizaiten is a protective deity, and takes on Shiva’s classical role as defender of the northeast. Some depictions retain the dark skin, while others do not but a fierce aspect is usually present. In Medieval times, Japan was considered the home of Shiva, and he was thought to be its cosmic ruler. He was also thought to be the creator of the Chinese writing system
Lakshmi/Kichijoten: A goddess of fertility, luck, and beauty in both traditions, though she seems much more strongly associated with wealth in the Hindu tradition. Since the 16th century however, Saraswati/Benzaiten has largely supplanted her. In Hindu tradition she is the consort of Vishnu, but in Buddhist tradition her consort is Kubera/Bushamonten.
Photographer Benoy Behl has carried out extensive research on India’s civilizational impact on Japan says” “In many ways, this philosophic understanding is most well preserved in Japan. Japan has not had the breakdown of cultural norms which India suffered when a colonial education system was created. Therefore, most Indians learnt about our own culture from the Western point of view,”
“A majority of Japanese gods are actually Indian gods,” was a common line of the former Japanese Ambassador to India, Yasukuni Enoki. Hindu deities were imported wholesale from the 6th century onwards. Between “These Indian deities were introduced from China into Japan as Buddhist deities with Chinese names,” writes Sengaku Mayeda of Japan’s Eastern Institute
Sanskrit also to some extent had influence over it In Japan, the generic term for “Sanskrit” is Bonji (梵字) or Bongo (梵語). The Japanese word for Seed Syllable is Shuji 種字 (Sanskrit = Bijaksara). In Japan, Sanskrit seed syllables are written in a script called Shittan 悉曇 (Sanskrit = Siddham). In Japanese Buddhist statuary, Buddhist deities are typically assigned a special seed syllable, one that is often inscribed somewhere on the statue or halo. Deities are also assigned mantras (Jp. = Shingon 真言) that contain these seed syllables — the mantra is a magical incantation, a secret prayer, a special chant used to invoke the essence of the deity. Furthermore, Japan’s esoteric sects also employ a mandala called the Seed-Syllable Mandala (Shuji Mandara 種字曼荼羅), in which the deities are symbolized by their individual seed syllables. A special version of this mandala, known as the Shiki Mandara (Shiki Mandara 敷曼荼羅) is used in initiation rites among esoteric sects. The initiand casts a flower onto the spread-out mandala, and the seed syllable on which it falls then becomes the patron deity of the intiand.
May India’s influence continue to rise unabated.

If you watch or read news and newspapers regularly you would be able to figure what is happening or dominating it i.e JNU students seditious activities.Though I have always disliked the left but this turns my dis-likeliness for the left to hatred after they chanted slogans such Bharat ki barbadi and what not. This is not the first time that the left-leaning parties have engaged in anti-national and anti-India activities they have set too for many precedents let me list a few of them. Most famous in the list of this innumerable anti-India activities is that of 1962 Indo-china war and the freedom struggle.
1.1962 war:-
Here are some of the excerpts from the declassified CIA files on how the left sided with china and wish for India’s defeat.
1.1.On the 28th, Nehru for the first time made a statement in Parliament substantiating the press r e p o r t s of such Chinese incursions and armed clashes . This statement inflamed Indian public opinion; according to a private comment that day by the chief of the Communist Indian Press Agency, it confused and staggered the party members. During the next two days the CPI Central Secretariat, minus Ghosh, held an emergency meeting on the problem, following which the party issued the first in what was to be a long and varied series of statements on the border, a vague declaration glossing over the question of border violations, holding (as the Chinese were to do) that the entire border has never been defined, making no mention of the MacMahonline , and urgently calling for negotiations. The CPI subsequently came under wide public attack as a result of its failure in this statement to take a clear-cut stand supporting the Indian government position.
1.2.“In Feb 1958 an official of the Soviet Embassy contacted CPI Leaders to renew the request to setup an underground organization. While Ajoy Ghosh refused, HK Surjeet and others privately decided that Ghosh was taking a complacent line and decided to reach out to the CPSU outside of party channels. The CPI did proceed to recruit a secret organization within the Indian Army. In February 1959, Ajoy Ghosh in his report to the Central Executive Committee that China Russia insisted that the CPI must develop a standby apparatus capable of armed resistance, while intensifying penetration of Indian Military forces. In the September Central Executive Committee meeting Ajoy Ghosh argued against the tendency to welcome Chinese military presence on Indian borders to justify a new militant line for the CPI. This was rejected by the hard left who argued that with the PLA now present along the Indian Border the Indian Party had a channel of support for Armed Operations and a potential liberator in the event of mass uprisings.”
1.3.The left – faction members of the CPI Central Secretariat–Ranadive, Bhupesh Gupta, and particularly Basavapunniah–became increasingly active late in 1959 in promoting the line given them in Peiping throughout the CPI. In mid-November, Basavapunniah was reported by two sources to have repeated,to a meeting of CPI leaders concerned with creating an underground organization, his belief that the CPI lack of a contiguous foreign supply base during the Telengana revolt had now been remedied with the Chinese occupation of Tibet and other frontier areas. In late December he was said to have reiterated to a meeting of the Maharasha State Council Mao’s statement to Ghosh that Tibet, Sikkim, Bhutan, and the Northwest Frontier Agency are provinces peopled by the same race, that China had a historic right to these territories, that the MacMahone line was not valid , and that the Indian government’s raising of “the bogey of Chinese aggression” had resulted from its realization that Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and India would be deeply affected by the social and economic revolution in Tibet.
2.Karname during the freedom struggle:-
Here, in I have pulled out the facts from their own(CPI) archives about how they blundered during the 1942 quit anti-india movement.
Consistent with the one-sided and erroneous People’s War line, the party opposed the Quit India Movement (QIM) in 1942. Here it is necessary to note that this movement was not intended for a real headlong clash with the Raj, but as a pressure-tactic to persuade the latter, already threatened by the advancing Japanese, to negotiate transfer of power to the exclusion of the Muslim League. This is why, in the words of Nehru in Discovery Of India, “neither he [Gandhi-A.S.] nor the CWC issued any kind of directives…” and made “no arrangements for the functioning of the Congress after they had been removed from the scene”. According to S. Gopal, the biographer of Jawaharlal Nehru, “It was almost as if the Working Committee wished to escape to prison and to avoid decision” at the crucial hour. But after the arrest of Gandhi and others, precisely because there was no leader left free to check the spontaneous popular upsurge, soon the QIM became, in the words of Lord Linlithgow, “by far the most serious rebellion since that of 1857, the gravity and extent of which we have so far concealed from the world for reasons of military security” (Cable to Churchill). From behind the bars, of course, MK Gandhi repeatedly condemned the ‘violence’, asked the militants including Congressmen to “surrender to the police” and continued the efforts to restore goodwill with the Raj through emissaries like GD Birla. Both the Muslim League and the RSS-Hindu Mahasabha (HM) denounced the movement in most savage terms, with leaders of the HM such as Shymaprasad Mukherjee, participating in the repression as members of provincial ministries.”
Whatever the role of Gandhi and others, the CPI no doubt committed a major mistake by opposing the QIM. As the Second Party Congress held in February 1948 pointed out, “This total underestimation of the role of imperialism in the period of People’s War made us lose sight of the task of exposing imperialism and fighting it within the framework of support for anti-fascist war”.
As you can for yourself see how Seditious have been the nature of the activities of these leftist thugs. It is necessary that the tree of the lifetist ideology be completely burned from its root to the topmost leaf.

India & Iran Relations i.indiaopines.com/ameyav/7143/

Article Details

India and Iran have been bound together for centuries until 1947 when the partition led to weakening of a direct link between India and Iran(infact Irans’s first supreme leader had roots in India).India and Iran have been some of the cradles of world civilzation and are now striving to get it back and to stamp their own authority over the world after years of isolation(Iran just got itself off from isolation). Both are aspiring powers-to-be and wish to play a more dominant and stronger role in world politics as the balance of powers shifts itself from West to Asia, Iran is an important player for India to look after in the unstable region of west asia.Iran after israel are the “2I’s” with which we need to maintain close and strong relations.Iran again after israel is the only true democracy in west asia and though ruled by an Islamic theocracy is much more advanced and modern than Pakistan and Saudi arabia. My admiration for that country is very high since it is the only nation in WA that has been able to manage religion and politics extremely efficiently despite many ups and downs.
Recently Sanctions on Iran were lifted after almost a decade of economic isolation by the west and some asian nations.Iran presents a great opportunity for India, after the lifting of sanctions it has become a magnet for investments and business opportunities, we must not lose this opportunity for it would prove be too disastrous if we don’t have the first mover advantage.
Iran has great strategic value for it is the only country apart form Afghanistan which will help us “Connect Central asia” and who can forget the port of chabahar its placing just at the mouth of gulf oman makes it a vital choke-point for various supplies notably oil and antural gas but as you know we have been sluggish to respond to such lucrative offers. The Chabahar port deal was signed way back in 2003 and again an MOU was signed in 2015 by Nitin Gadkari who went personally to Iran to do the honors but as of today we have not yet taken control of the land which is supposed to be developed as a port-land at chabahar whereas our arch-rival China has moved at a fast pace to acquire land at gwadar to transform it into a port-city, I hope the same fate does not befall Chabahr as that of hambantota(hambantota is a port to south of sri-lanka which was intially offered to us to develop as a port but we kept on dragging ourselves over it and ultimately the lankans got frustrated and handed it over to the chinese-this is mentioned in Shashi tharoor’s book “Pax Indica”).Also China has finished the formalities to build a naval base at djibouti again a vital choke-point for its so-called anti-piracy operations.

Iran can also satisfy our increasing appetite for oil and natural gas. There have been reports of developing a turkmenistan-iran-india gas pipeline but nothing has been official again.Iran is money-hungry and it will not wait for us to invest in its nascent economy.Apart from energy we can diversify our relations into various other sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, agriculture and IT.
A special desk must be created to look only and only after Iran related activites & special priority must be accorded to our relations with that nation as China has already made huge forays into Iran and we stand nowhere to compete with it.There are also chances that we may lose the Farzad-B gasfield which was originally discovered by us but again due to our foot-dragging in an auction. With its emergence from isolation many western nations and companies will seek to invest it in and we will lose the business advantage which we had during the time when sanction were still imposed on Iran and it treated us like a special friend, there is now increasing displeasure in Iran over our delaying tactics and it doesn’t sound good.
While dealing with Iran we need to keep in the mind the slogan of Vivekanand-

Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached
