2016 was a year of big bollywood hits. It witnessed some of the best movies of all time. The list includes some big names like Deadpool, Zootopia, Dangal, Sultan, Neerja and Doctor Strange which topped the charts worldwide and gained a round of applause from every kind of audience. From biopics of M.S Dhoni to the cinematic fights of Captain America and Iron Man, this year was like a gift to the movie buffs. The year went by and gave us a lot to live with good and bad both. At the same time, the year was full of movies which couldn’t tap into the audience’s mind and were flop at the box office. Here is a look at 5 lowest rated movies of 2016–
Kya Kool Hain Hum 3– The film is about Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani, who are famous pornstars and lead a great life. But their thrilling life goes for a toss when Tusshar`s girlfriend Mandana Karimi wants to get married to him. The rest of the story is how they try to convince her father that Tusshar is from a decent family. Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 goes the cliched route with a bunch of jokes we have heard and chosen to ignore over the years. This movie has to be in the list of worst movies of the year.
Baar Baar Dekho– What would you fix if you’re asked to travel in time? Will it be some mistake of yours or would you like to travel in the future to get a glimpse. The story of this film revolves around this concept. Sidharth Malhotra, a mathematical genius, finds himself travelling through time into the past and future until he learns to value his time in present. He gets to relive a significant day of his life in order to avert future setbacks. The movie was good with item numbers but overall, it failed to attract audiences and is one of the flop movies of 2016.
Mastizaade- The film starts off with two friends, Sunny Kele played by Tusshar Kapoor and Aditya Chothia played by Vir Das, who are given tips on how to be Mastizaade by the senior in this genre Riteish Deshmukh. After that, they become chick magnets and girls can’t seem to keep their hands off them. The guys continue their flings till they meet the sisters, Lily Lele, and Laila Lele, both played by Sunny Leone and they get smitten by the twins that their chick-magnet fails to work. The rest of the film is about how the guys woo the girls while tackling a strict father, a gay brother and a handicapped, to-be-husband.
Befikre- This movie is directed by Aditya Chopra and was considered his comeback after 8 years after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Befikre stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles and was in hype for some umpteen kissing scenes. The packaging of the movie is just how you’d like and expect it to be from YRF Films. It has Yash Raj written all over it including the opening credits, which tells ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ has matured and come a few steps forward in terms of everything. Not the best commercial film and lacks in spreading the young vibes.
