Where were you when a bridge was swept away in Maharashtra?

Innocent died for no fault of theirs and not even a single head rolled.

Where were you when an innocent was killed over the assumption of consuming beef?

Where were you when poor died by the side of the road?

Where were you when the millennium city came to a halt because of a bad drainage system?

Time has come for us to ask the tough questions.

For how long will we allow our politicians to get away with things?

The regulation also makes the brand ambassador guilty in case of any wrong promise made by the brand.

The advertisement industry has opposed the move of government calling it unfair.

According to the detractors of the move, the onus is on consumer not advertisers.

To an extent, they have a point.

We all know deodorants will not get us, girls. Fairness creams will not make us fairer. The kids will never get brainer by consuming food supplements suggested by brands and soft drinks don’t makes us any cooler than we are.

Then why the hell are we so naïve to believe them?

banks today stand at 9000 Cr INR of debt (courtesy: kingfisher airlines).

Add to this, the amount he owed to Tax departments, employees, etc and you have enough money to feed an entire country in Africa.

So who will now pay for all the follies of Mr. Mallya ?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s mega extravaganza to mark 35 years of the art of living got over last week.

The event surrounded by controversies was deemed a huge success by the followers of Art of Living.

Unfortunately, for reasons out of my hand I could not attend the event. In fact, I did not even cross DND during this jamboree to avoid the legendary Delhi traffic jam.

Did I miss something by not being a part of the event which saw the likes of Arvind Kejriwal, Arun Jaitley rubbing

shoulders?

If you look at the event from the political perspective, I am sure I missed the perfect “smile please” moment. With the two adversaries, Kejriwal-Jaitley sharing the same dias without even uttering the unspoken word “DDCA” on stage was nothing less than a magic.

The respectable Ravi Shankar ji has done what no one could do.

This definitely is the real Art of Living – in peace.

If only, he had invited Sonia Gandhi ji (this was an international event. I am sure her birth in Italy would not have been a hurdle to get her on stage) and made her share stage with the likes of Modi ji, Kejriwal ji, Jaitley ji, the art of living would have turned into a perfect picture moment for the world to see.

Bigger and better than the kejri-Jaitley moment.

The next day headlines in the newspaper would have been “This is what we call The Art of Living”.

So what did this mega event achieve other than getting AAP and BJP on the same stage?

5 Takeaways from JNU Incident themangoman.co.in/5-takeaways-from-jnu-incident/

My concept of Bharat Mata was very vague before JNU Incident.

We live in a country where we do not pay our taxes. (only a single digit population of this country pays taxes) or we

find ways to evade taxes.

We bribe illegal travel agencies to send us to the promised foreign land. Once we reach there, we only wish our India or Bharat Mata was as good as our new country of residence.

We are willing to pay the bribe at a drop of a pin.

Our political system has sucked the country dry. We still hero-worship our politicians.

Poor have no rights.

Rich don’t care for rights.

Our jingoistic approach to patriotism shows only during India-Pakistan Cricket matches or when Pakistan attacks India.

In short, we are on auto pilot destruction mode.

All this happens on our dear land of Bharat Mata.

JNU incident has divided citizens of the country as traitor and Patriots.

Those who speak against the law of land (the ruling party) dishonour Bharat Mata are bloody traitors.

The rest are Patriots.

Those who support government’s “prompt” crackdown on anti-national activists in JNU are the new patriots. While the other group, which has asked for proof of the anti-national activities in JNU is deemed as traitor.

Traitors who have no love for Bharat Mata.

Traitors who stand mute and give away meekly to the demands of anti-nationals.

Traitors who have the audacity to question our government’s actions in bringing a high volatile situation under control by pressing sedition charges against a group of protesting students in JNU.

After JNU incident here is the unofficial list of traitors and patriots in India:

  • Patriots:
    • Lawyers of Delhi for beating the shit out of JNU president and anyone who opposed them.
    • OP Sharma for thrashing a CPI leader and promising to beat more anti-national buggers.
    • Delhi police for enjoying the spectacle of anti-nationals beaten black and blue mutely and meekly.
    • ABVP for complaining to police.
    • Closet patriots. A rare group of patriots who are willing to loot country at the drop of a pin but do not shy away from flaunting their patriotism by writing strong emails, fb messages, whatsapp messages.
    • Zee News Team and media house similar to Zee News. For working with zeal, enthusiasm and energy to catch these anti-nationals red-handed. They kept playing the video till the public was forced to take sides.
  • Traitors:
    • All student organizations other than ABVP.
    • Press/media for covering JNU incident biasedly.
    • The average Mango Man for not understanding, why such heavy force was required to control JNU incident

Those who attacked Pahlaj Nihalani are from the sickular brigade. They think it’s their birth right to watch vulgar stuff in movies. Question every credible move of a man who is working hard to purify Indian cinema of the Vulgarity evil.

Today citizens of our country do not care about the law of land because they know judiciary is slow, police is corrupt and politicians follow the dharma of vote bank, where they will support a guilty person even if he/she is accused.

Where is Government at time of riots? i.indiaopines.com/themangoman/where-is-government-at-time-of-riots/

submitted 2 years ago by in Politics

Article Details

Leaders of BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) and SP (Samajwadi Party) have been indicted by a one man inquiry setup by U.P Government to probe Muzaffarnagar riots.

Like always, both parties have vehemently denied involvement of any of their political leaders in Muzaffarnagar riots blaming the other political Muzaffarnagar Riots (Source : deccanchronicle.com)party for these ghastly riots.

Our country is not new to religious riots. From the infamous 1984 anti-skih riots to Godhra, we have seen the worse happen in front of our eyes. We have seen the rioters go around indulging in their act blatantly without fear of law or justice.

Which brings me to the question “Where is Government at the time of Riots?”

“Why does our so called efficient “Government” turn so wimpish and ineffective during riots?

The answer to these questions is not complex. If we were to introspect the trends before and after riots throughout history of India post-independence. There are similarities in how “divide and rule” policy discovered by British is used so cunningly by our politicians. Consider this:

a.        Riots are always orchestrated against a particular community with patronage from a political party

b.      The political party goes on to win elections by turning majority against minority.

c.       The perpetrators are rewarded by their political party

d.      Justice is never delivered.

i.e, the riots always happen for a political reason. The patronage provided to 1984 anti-sikh rioters by Congress Government is an open secret. All of them were given a free hand by Congress Government. Leaders like Jagdish Tytler, Kamal Nath were allegedly involved in the riots along with many other political leaders from Congress.

The whole Sikh community bore the brunt of Indira Gandhi Assassination.

In Lok Sabha elections held in December, 1984 Congress won the elections with an overwhelming majority. A record yet to be matched by any political party. In the end, Congress played on the emotions of Hindus by punishing Sikhs.

Most of the leaders involved in these riots were rewarded heavily with plump posts in government.

Fast forward to Muzaffarnagar riots.

The story repeats.

Riots were used as a tool by BJP to turn Hindus of Uttar Pradesh, divided along the lines of caste into a single unit. Inflammatory speeches were made by BJP leaders in gatherings to instigate riots.

The whole incident was orchestrated to give it a Hindu versus Muslim Flavor. The end results were for everyone to see. Muzaffarnagar riot is given the dubious distinction of the worst violence in Uttar Pradesh.

Congress, BSP, SP too jumped into the ship to gather Muslim votes. Unfortunately for them. They played in hands of BJP. BJP succeeded in portraying them as anti-Hindu parties.

BJP pulled off a coup in Uttar Pradesh by winning majority of seats in the state. The same state, which had voted in earlier elections on lines of Cast and creed voted on lines of Religion. Parties like RLD, BSP bit dust scoring a zero. The Hindu voters did not vote as Jats, SC, ST, OBC. They voted as Hindu and Muslims.

The leaders of BJP who were allegedly involved in Muzaffarnagar riots were rewarded with posts in Modi’s ministry.

Like victims of 1984 Sikh riots, victim of Muzaffarnagar riots still await justice.

This brings me back to my original question. Where is Government at time of riots?

From what I understand, Government is busy looking after their political gains. They are too busy to protect victims of riots. Their focus is to understand result of riots on vote dynamics. By the time, they realize the gravity of situation, riots are unstoppable.

They can only play the blame game.

At the end of day, Government has failed us and will fail us again in future in time of riots. We have to understand, Government comprises of politicians. Politicians, who are inhuman and incapable of understanding the loss of human life during riots.

Why should we even have expectations from them to save us?
