Eid is one of the major festive season in India. It’s a time when we see the big movies releasing in almost every language. This year also there’s no difference as Salman Khan’s Tubelight in Hindi, Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham in Telugu and Jeet Madnani’s Boss 2 in Bengali are releasing. And in Tamil, there are two major films releasing. One is Jayam Ravi’s Vanamagan and Silambarasan’s Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan. So, finally the dry spell of Tamil film industry will come to an end. Both the films are huge in terms of their production value, star cast and the grandeur in which they are made. Let’s take a look at the USPs of both the film.
Vanamagan is Jayam Ravi’s second release this year after the successful Bogan. And the role he plays in the film is completely different from Bogan. In Bogan, he was seen as an honest cop and in Vanamagan he will be seen playing a character which is somewhere close to the iconic Tarzan. The storyline is quite interesting as it revolves around what happens when a tribal guy falls for a city girl. And if reports are to be believed Jayam Ravi doesn’t have a single dialogue in the film. So, it becomes even more interesting to see how he will express his love to Sayyesha Saigal who plays the female lead.
The film also marks the 50th milestone for ace music director Harris Jayaraj. And like always the soundtrack is a Chartbuster. The Yemma Yea Alagamma song is the current favorite of Tamil music lovers. All this makes the film a promising one. We will have to wait till June 23rd for Vanamagan review to see whether the film meets the expectation level.
Silambarasan last outing was Gautam Menon’s superhit Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. His character name was Rajinikanth. And by any means, if you have Thalaiva’s name associated with a film, can anything go wrong? Now, the actor is ready with AAA that clashes with Vanamagan. The biggest USP is that for the first time he will seen playing triple role. The makers have given the audience a glimpse of two of his character looks. One is a 60-year-old Ashwin Thatha which has already become very popular and the other one is young Madura Michael.
The third character is still kept under wraps. Maybe the makers want to keep it as a surprise package for the audience. The female leads are Tamannaah Bhatia and Shriya Saran. There are also rumors that the film has a third female lead. The makers will also release the second part later this year. The music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the songs Rottula Vandi Oodudhu and Ratham En Ratham are making waves ever since its release. Let’s see if the Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan review justifies the hype around the film.
So, looks like the Tamil film audience will get a double course meal this Eid. You can follow us for all the latest Tamil movie reviews. Also, don’t forget to check this space as we will be reviewing both the movies.
