If you found the year 2016 a fantastical one when it comes to Bollywood movies, then the Bollywood movies in 2017 are going to blow you away. If the line-up is anything to go with, then what 2017 brings on the table makes 2016 look ho-hum in comparison. You don’t need to take anyone’s word for it. See it for yourself .

1.    Raees

Shahrukh Khan, need we say more! Only this time, with even more flare and surma in his eyes. Donning the role of an anti-hero the film released to rave reviews and proved that Khan just like wine, only seems to get better with age. The film also starred acting-heavyweight Nawazuddin Siddiqui, ensuring that the movie was both a commercial and critical success.

Kaabil

2.    Kaabil

When you have two Superstars, SRK and Hrithik Roshan clashing at the box-office at the year’s start, then you know that you are in for a joy-ride. Kaabil just like Raes opened to both critical and commercial success. With both the leads donning the role of a blind couple and Ronit Roy as the antagonist, you know something tragic is in-store. This revenge saga had audiences on the edge of their seat and was a thriller that was long-awaited from Bollywood.

Rangoon

3.    Rangoon

If Vishal Bhardwaj is at the helm of things, then the least you can expect is a great movie. And, if he’s at his best, then history is to be made. With films like ‘Haider’, ‘Maqbool’ and ‘Kaminey’ under his belt, the critically acclaimed director teams up with his favorite Shahid Kapoor again, for Rangoon. The film will also star the much-acclaimed Kangana Renaut and Saif Ali khan. A period drama, the film will take place during the British Raj, with the world-War 2 in its backdrop seems exciting! Releasing on Feb 24th this is a must watch.

badrinath ki dulhania

4.    Badrinath Ki Dulhania

The last time Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt came together we got ourselves a masala entertainer, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’! And, this time it’s ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, and by the looks of the movie, the fun factor seems to be even higher this time. Scheduled to hit the theaters on March 10th, 2017, keeps your calendar clear for this one.

Jagga Jasoos

5.   Jagga Jasoos

This one has been a long time coming, but it will finally be hitting the theaters in April 2017. With Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif as the leads, and Anurag Basu donning the director’s hat, this one will surely be an entertainer out and out. April is not that far away, and this looks like a massive hit, already!

If you want to know what other movies are lined up for this year, then head to your movie ticketing website and see what other top Bollywood releases in 2017 are!

Revealed: Why Bigg Boss celebs fail to make it big after the show!

Bigg Boss may be India’s number one reality show! But history has it that most celebs do not know how to handle the instant fame once they attain stardom from it. They are unable to propel themselves to the next level and fade and fizzle out, or return to their past status over time. So why does this happen?

“It is not only important to be a star, but crucial to maintain the buzz and constantly grow from it. And that’s where the maximum ‘BB returns’ falter,” remarks Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar who has handled the media for a full 20 contestants since the first season.

“The instant success and newfound fan base, largely consisting of diehard, fanatical, nasty and fickle-minded idolizing Twitterati, goes to the heads of many. They cease professional PR activity after the show, assuming they have arrived. In all this adulatory frenzy, what they don’t realize is that Bollywood industry circles work on different parameters,” analyzes the public relations expert.

“After enjoying the powerful Bigg Boss platform, the participants forget to draw up a PR strategy to sustain the momentum required to build their careers further. But the worst scenario is for those who lack the knowledge, focus, vision, guidance, contacts and connections to promote their careers after the humongous hype,” explains the publicist.

True! Given the kind of publicity the contestants get, including weekly attention from megastar host Salman Khan, it would be very important to streamline and channelize their future imaging and branding plans with foresight. Even the show’s winners have lacked that.

Shocking! When SRK was slapped by a woman in Mumbai

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made quite a few candid confessions at the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Fan’. While many were amusing, one of them came as a shocker!

While replying to a fan’s question on whether he came by flight or train the first time he travelled to Mumbai, the actor revealed that he came to Mumbai by train and was even slapped by a woman on that journey!

Narrating the ordeal, SRK said, “I came by train for the first time when I came to Mumbai. The train would turn into a local after entering Mumbai which I was not aware of. So I did not let a few people sit on my berth saying that it is mine, ‘I paid for it.’ I did offer it to a lady, though, saying, ‘you can sit but I won’t let the men with you sit on my berth’. And that lady slapped me real hard saying that ‘it isn’t yours, it is everybody’s.”

Not quite the welcome one would expect into a new city!

In ‘Fan’, Khan will be seen playing two roles, one of a superstar Aryan Khanna and the other of his fan Gaurav, who comes across as his lookalike.

After the teaser of the film and the anthem track ‘Jabra Fan’ gave the impression that it was a ‘sweet and simple’ kind of film, the trailer might have surprised his fans, considering that this ‘fan’ gets agitated after an unpleasant experience with his favourite star and wants to get even with him.

However, Shah Rukh Khan denied that the ‘fan’ character he plays bears resemblance to his ‘psycho’ characters in films ‘Darr’ and ‘Baazigar’.

Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, ‘Fan’ releases on April 15.

It has been an everyday occurence. before it was about loving and living toegther but these days the news is all about breakups, cheating and more. Why is it that these couples who have got everything they need – fame, money and beautiful partners cheat, fight and breakup? I think that affects the society too as young adults will be influenced by the fact that breakups are okay or an everyday occurence.

Salman Khan and Portia, the Daniel comes to judgment on the final verdict of a humane judgement ! i.indiaopines.com

submitted 2 years ago by in Bollywood

Read/Discuss. Details
Article Details

Salman Khan and the Daniel comes to judgment and the final verdict! A pedestrians view SOS Harish Salve!

Me Lord the Government stands guilty at 35%, the Police at 25%, Lack of ideas in Mumbai Muni. Corpn. 15%, Pavement squatters themselves to be blamed at 15% and Sallu bhai at a sad 10% ! My Lord, I shall substantiate my points now to demolish bit by bit the fashionable wannabes’ stand, who just wish to do some lip service in their shallow siding of the poor and downtrodden!

This is just a point of view and why should anyone be closed not to mull over other points of opinion, regardless of where the final decision goes, as that is about fate and not in our hands! Like in a management class, we learn, there are more than a few ways to tackle one single situation; the final plunge can always be taken after mulling over all of them, then take a decision on the best balanced one, but do give Salman a chance!

So what are the options over here with Salman Khan? Lets give an ace journalist the first say. Is it not an artificial rant of an Oxford returned journalist, well you got to decide and I’d quote Sagarika Ghose – “ When a rich drunk person, without license drives a SUV over poor people, kills one, hurts 3, he won’t be punished – if he’s a celebrity. Farcical!” Well she junks Salman’s claim to freedom.

Who will tell her, to forgive is Divine, and to err is Human and yes, it is was an accident! The Oxford dictionary defines ‘accident’ an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly & unintentionally, typically resulting in damage, death or injury!

This is extremely sad that people wish to take pot shots at rich and the famous, to find out how popular their tweets become and do some arm chair socialism talk. Where were they before the accident – do they ever raise the topic of slum dwellers, their abject miserable lives and how they could help these less fortunate ones; years after years pass and all these 13 years after the accident have also passed, have you ever spoken of the homeless, try and get them some night shelter to hide their ignoble heads in?

Goddamnit, for God’s sake, it’s a Road a pavement, not a house or a night shelter! A road, supposed to have trucks, buses, cars and all sorts of vehicles at different speeds, where no one rules out the possibility of a road accident, which occurs by the dime and dozen in our huge big country, all due to an error of human judgment! Its common sense that you skirt / invite trouble if you are to sleep by the roadside, its for one’s asking; come on, don’t you find it suicidal to sleep in a pavement of a busy Mumbai road! And don’t you realize that this is very much a State fault, it’s a multi – fault line! Roti, Kapdaa aur Makaan are a destitutes’ right, which have not been provided to the under privileged after 67 years of independence!

Secondly, tell me why the night patrol Police cannot be taken to task for not ensuring the pavements / roads are clear and not used as an open night shelter and shoe them off from such vulnerable spots, so that these squatters may not expose themselves to such a dangerous situation! Is it not something like asking for trouble … sleeping in pavements, so close to the road would you allow it too anyone known to you poor or rich! So why can’t we support the very correct point of view of Abhijeet Bhattacharya barring the harsh words which too are part of the bitter truth !

Ms Ghose, why have you not addressed the bigger problems all these years that you are now singing and tweeting a ‘be-sura’ tweet; is it coz’ its fashionable or are you truly following social developments very seriously and your heart bleeds for the downtrodden! I ask why, why these careless rants, its just not necessary! Please read your pre-scripted news on television, which you are good at, don’t pass uncalled for, unsubstantiated, immature judgments!

And my last point, thirdly – why the local municipal corporation have not a.) provided night shelters b.) Why are parks not used to sleep out at night c.) Why stadia’s can’t be opened up to house the hapless at night d.) In rainy seasons why buses can’t be used to give overnight shelters to the homeless!

My simple point is why these relevant questions cannot be asked to the politicians, instead of pushing Salman to the dungeons!

In fact this case should be used to have a catalytic effect on some of the growth issues of the state, which has obviously not taken place in ages … and this accident could be a turning point in the fate of these slum dwellers; while it should be made into a big issue for giving homes to the homeless and simultaneously have a zero tolerance to any new squatters who should not be allowed to invade Mumbai roads where accidentally a poor xyz celebrity and the hapless victims get into another sad fateful incident!

Now, coming to the question as to, why we are talking about soft peddling Salman’s case? Khuda Qasam, Salman ek nek dil insaan with a Golden heart, how can you take that away from him and how can you do him in for 5 years, impossible! No one wants even a 5 months or 5 weeks term for him, for that matter! In case you have to satiate your judgmental egos and come out with the great theory of – “ Drunken driving is a serious offence, like a person going on a killing spree, he should not be allowed to go scot free. ” Well then give him an exemplary punishment for 5 days and then release him! But, why this special treatment for him, you’ll ask? So here you are … TOI brought out recently, top 10 Humanitarian contributions and I quote:

Salman Khan is amongst the most charitable stars in Bollywood, he is famous for his large heartedness, spurt of on the moment reactions. Here are the points:

  1. Santa Salman : For Salman Khan everyday seems to be Christmas, as he plays the role of year-round Santa Claus to perfection. There is a famous story of a child, who refused to eat until Salman Khan came in person to meet him. The worried parents ran helter-skelter until Sallu heard of it; true to his trademark style, he stopped shooting and made a dash to meet the kid and grant him his wish. No mean achievement!
  1. Help to destitute prisoners :  Salman Khan learned that many prisoners were unable to secure their release from prison. The reason being, they simply did not have money to pay for the legal fine slapped on them. In order to reunite 400 jailed convicts with their families, Salman Khan paid nearly 40 Lakhs through his NGO Being Human.

3. Homeless Kids :

Salman Khan always has had soft corner for homeless kids. Perhaps part of the reason is his own fractured childhood. Being Human is majorly involved in the upliftment for the poor and homeless kids.

4. Charity for Needy

Salman Khan’s generosity for those hit by natural disaster or in dire need of money is not so well known. His charity organization, Being Human, donated Rs.50 Lacs to flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir, besides victims of Bihar floods. He also donated 200 lenses for visually challenged in Sri Lanka. He instantly donated Rs.45 lakh to an old age home.

  1. Cancer Patients

Salman Khan has always been leading and advocating the rights of cancer patients & need to provide them with timely and affordable treatment. He has helped patients with dire needs.

  1. Child – Labour Free India

Salman Khan used his star-appeal and the support of his legions of fans nation-wide, to help eradicate India of child labour. Bachpan Bachao Andolan was a thought headed by them, but Salman Khan’s association, lent weight, gravity and width to the campaign.

  1. Bone Marrow Donation

A little girl Pooja suffering from a life threatening disease was in need of Bone marrow donor. On learning of her requirement, Salman Khan asked his entire football team to go and donate, but when they backed out, the superstar himself landed up at the hospital with his brother Arbaaz Khan and donated his bone marrow.

  1. Clothes, Merchandise, Lifestyle, and Café

Being Human’s business model – for lack of a better word – is based on generating money to finance its charitable activities. It also plans to have larger lifestyle stores and also enter into the cafe’ business. As Salman Khan has often said, he wants Being Human to be his legacy, to be much bigger than him and eventually outlast him.

  1. Never Signed a Cheque

This story comes from the superstar’s sister, Alvira Khan. She has stated that Salman Khan had never signed a check until 6 months back. He hates money matters, has no idea of all his assets, including a three bungalows farmhouse in Panvel, several properties in and around Mumbai. He enjoys the freedom to concentrate on work, never to be bothered about bank accounts, investments and properties which his father handles.

  1. Mr. 10%

Salman Khan is not in the business of making a 10% cut in the under table deals. Instead, he keeps just 10% of his earnings for himself and donates the rest to charity. Not surprisingly, his lawyers pleaded before the court that Salman Khan had donated a massive amount of 42 crores in just 3 years.

Salman Khan thus is a giver. God has given him the contraptions to be a HERO, so what can he do, but be one!! He is not a selfish person. He has shown bigger than life large heartedness and what he can do, an ordinary person like you and me cannot! If I was in his place you could have thrown me into jail for a few years I wouldn’t care … In fact I wish I could offer myself if that would condone Salman’s!

And now for a bombshell! There is a niche audience who have the information of a corporate’s son in his new Austin Martin (priced at a whopping 1.5 crores) very recently spotted, driven at a break neck speed only to crash near a bridge, killing 2 persons outright on this Mumbai road! A newspaper reporting was taken off at the nick of the moment, not a single channel ran the news (as all them are controlled by the megalo businessman ‘n owner of RIL).

Now, this corporate businessman has the well known reputation of taking out one rupee from every Indian’s pocket everyday, thus translating to 1 billion rupees everyday; and then he commits a crime in getting his son’s criminal sins gagged! HE KILLS, GAGS AND GOES SCOT FREE, MS. SAGORIKA GHOSE WHY SHOULD SALMAN THE MAD HATTER, ALWAYS ACT GOD, DONATE AND GIVE AWAY SO MUCH AND BEAR A PAIN FOR 13 YEARS’ TORTURE, THEN WHY CAN’T HE BE PARDONED!!

THE CURSE ONE DAY WILL FALL ON THE RICH BUT SALMAN IS A GOOD SAMARITAN TO THE BONE, AND EACH AND EVERY POOR PERSONS’ “DUA” / BLESSING IS WITH HIM! SO PLEASE START THINKING GOOD ABOUT THIS ONE MAN ANGELIC ARMY!

His good deeds far outweigh his short comings, so there has to be mercy and there are no two ways about it! He has kept millions entertained, brought smiles to the faces of so many hapless, how can we forget him as a great gift from God to all mankind? Answer these few questions and you shall get your replies! May God bless this man! For me he is just poor fellow, victim of circumstance!

What is done cannot be undone, so the punitive action that is to be meted out to a man of as great a following, talent, and capacity, obviously God’s chosen child, cannot just be the guillotine / lynch / or a jail. As an exemplary judgment he should be made to take complete responsibility of the victim’s family, give them a good life as a compensation for the rest of their living. As a matter of fact a new law could be enacted for the dream world merchants and the likes of Salman for such an unintentional crime, who are very capable of earning handsomely! They should be made to earn and voluntarily donate 10% of their earnings, which should get deposited to the court every month for disbursing to those hapless victims’ families!!

We got to stop cribbing about rich and famous rant, Salman is not just another spoilt brat of a rich man hurtling down Mumbai roads; acknowledge the celluloid Hero is a real life Hero too – as Salman Khan is, a true larger than life Human being worshipped by the poor and loved by his artistic fraternity – men or women, some of them rich, bold and beautiful! Its not just about another hit and run case!

Why is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looking so tired? st1.bollywoodlife.com

Is the Jazbaa shoot taking a toll on the actress? A picture can speak a thousand words and this one surely did!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s beauty has been described in many ways by many men and women. She is one of the most beautiful women on earth and we can’t agree more. That was also one of the reasons why we were so eager to see her back onscreen. Fortunately, the actress gave her nod to Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa; so very soon she will be on 70mm once again. But guess the shoot is turning out to be too strenuous for Aishwarya. A recent picture of her makes her look tired and tad sleep-deprived.

It won’t be wrong to say that Aishwarya’s eyes are her assets. They are glorious, light coloured and extremely expressive. Hence, the same couldn’t hide the actress’s tiredness during the second schedule wrap of Jazbaa. It is big and bright, but it seems weary. Although she isn’t devoid of makeup as is evident, it failed to conceal her tired out face.

Also starring, a pretty, outspoken, vivacious… cross breed kid version of Kareena in Jab We Met and Anushka in Band Baja Baraat. With a firangi NRI hero to create a forced love triangle and we know who will get the Dulhaniya.

“I feel it’s hypocritical self-styled moralists and the Aamir Khans of the world, who are more frightening and injurious. I am appalled at his sudden self-righteous mode. He has completely forgotten his body of work – the double meaning song, ‘Bhaag DK Bose’ in Delhi Belly, and the PK poster where he left nothing to the imagination, putting Sunny Leone to shame,” said Pooja.

Aamir Khan Opines on AIB Roast, Calls It An Violent Act!

Always known to be a man who speaks his mind, and being assertive about every aspect of his life, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan had a thing or two to say about the very controversial AIB Knockout Roast starring Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, among others.

At yesterday’s Youth for Governance 2015 against corruption event, he was asked by a member of the press about his take on the extremely popular, yet severely criticised show that was promoted on Youtube.

“I was deeply affected by that. I completely believe in the freedom of speech. But we have to understand that we all have a certain responsibility,” he said in response.

“There was a lot of violence in that event. Violence need not be just physical, it can be verbal, it can be emotional. I am not impressed with “gaalis”, that age has long gone. I am not longer 14, that I will laugh at someone giving a “gaali”. I am not impressed by bad language,” he continued.

Raising concerns over increasing corruption in the country, Aamir Khan has joined My Right, My Responsibility themed Youth for Governance 2015.

What’s So ‘Vulgar’ About The AIB Roast?

“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world was awake India shut her eyes to life and freedom. A moment came, not rare in history, when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, lost utterance.” Pandit Nehru just shuddered in his grave.

AIB roast controversy

I am referring to the infamous FIR against a team of artists – comedians, and also citizens of India. The very fact that #AIBNationalShame and #WeStandByAIBKnockout have been top trends on Twitter in India speaks volumes about how the threat to freedom of speech and expression is one of our most crucial battles.

Before stating my opinion on the debate, let’s get our basics right. First things first, the genre of insult comedy is self-explanatory – it’s humour derived from insulting another person. The genre has been quite popular internationally for decades now, started as early as 1949 by The Friars Club. So, when the All India Bakchod organized the AIB Knockout in January featuring Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh with Karan Johar as the roastmaster, the first question which came to my mind was – “are we there yet?”.

I thought we were. We were finally “saying in public what we say in parties”, as Rohan Joshi said on the show. They were not talking about something ‘alien’ or out-of-the-box. But the breakthrough can be seen in their attempt to initiate a dialogue in public on issues that we have conveniently confined to our private comfort zones. Their sword was humour, the kind we indulge in with our friends. Stand up comedy is a form of resistance. Even when some of the jokes were directed towards homosexuals, in a way they were a step towards addressing the issue of homophobia. That was their way of entering into conversation. So I see it as bringing a self-actualization principle, and of us as rising to a new conscience.

The argument is not about acquiring a feigned sense of modernity by aping something from the “western culture”. It was “different” from the usual run-off-the-mill comedy, and refreshing. Judging it within the framework of a traditional comedy is completely missing the point.

I think the medium and the demographic placement of the artists also needs to be looked at, the AIB is a YouTube channel, entitled to their opinion. There is a certain kind of creative freedom and freedom of expression that the internet not only entails but also necessitates. One cannot ignore the operative mechanism which grants one form of entertainment a primetime slot on television, while ‘the other’ resort to more permissive and liberal platforms such as the web. Usually, not essentially, it is true that thoughts which do not cohere with the dominant ideology harbour themselves on the internet. Away from state-censorship and corporate pressure, the internet becomes the platform for the audience to enjoy those pockets of entertainment.

According to a global public opinion poll conducted by the BBC World Service in 2010, majority of the users, including the Indian users, strongly agreed that the Internet had brought them more freedom, they saw it as a fundamental right, and it gave them the space to express their opinion. So, it is not as if people are repressed and that’s why they avail entertainment on the internet. That is not the principle at work here. On the contrary, it is the social filtering and moral policing, which is the most regressive and redundant form of control as manifested through the FIR.

If one looks at the entertainment presented to us in prime time TV, the hypocrisy of the system is exposed. How about our very own home-grown desi Russel Peters, our most celebrated and loved show Comedy Nights With Kapil. Isn’t the humour on the show misogynistic, sexist, racist, homophobic and insensitive to gender ? But we laugh out loud!

The dispute is really the fact that the state cannot be selective about such actions. Threat to freedom of expression is the most disgraceful thing to be happening in the world’s largest democracy. The threat to creative freedom is perhaps the worst fear of an artist.

The humour on the AIB Knockout was sharp. Could it have been done in a “less offensive” manner? Maybe. Maybe not. I’m not advocating “their brand of humour”, but intent and context are two crucial aspects to be kept in mind when one discourses upon what is it that constitutes the funny. Say they were bad, scorn them. But by maintaining silence on the charges against them, you are siding with the oppressor and making them powerful.

Remember that the operative principle here is : “I do not find your joke funny, but I will defend to death your right to crack it

The Bollywood Movie- 2 States was released last year in 2014 and made it to the 100-crore-at-Box-Office-club.
It’s based on the novel of the same name by popular author, Chetan Bhagat. He was also associated with the film-making process. The movie is faithful to the book. However, it’s an abridged version and some key characters like Dolly are missing in the movie.
Krish and Ananya are wonderfully portrayed by the young rising stars- Arjun Kapoor & Alia Bhatt. The movie, like the book, is about the Locha-e-Ulfat (problem of love) that happens when IIM MBA students Krish and Ananya meet.
What happens next? To learn more, read my review 🙂

When a Movie Gets Political: Case of Haider letbeautybeyourconstantideal.blogspot.in

Vishal Bhardwaj has managed to present, for the most part, a good adaptation of this powerful story using an interesting and engaging narration. The lead actors in the film have performed their parts very well, making the experience of movie watching quite enjoyable. But what puzzles me (and perhaps many other people too, if I go by some of the comments and discussions going on in social media and also on the basis of a few reviews of the film) is the choice of political context in which the story of Haider has been situated. This article presents a list of seven points which made me wonder whether this time around the filmmaker’s love for Shakespeare has taken a backseat to his politics in this third adaptation of the bard’s plays. – See more at: http://letbeautybeyourconstantideal.blogspot.in/2014/10/when-movie-gets-political-case-of-haider.html

Sonnalli Seygall's life changing experience

Sonnalli Seygall recently visited her hometown, Kolkata where she checked in at all the places in her ‘must-go-back-to’ list. She also got the chance to meet two extremely inspirational women, which left her heavy hearted.

The actress was introduced to two acid attack victims Reshma (22 years) & Paoli (40) from ASFI (Acid Survivors Foundation of India), a foundation that works recklessly to prevent acid burn violence as well as to provide support services to survivors. Sonnalli got the chance to meet them over lunch and spend some time as they shared their heart-rending story. Reshma a bread-owner of her family from Siliguri, was proposed by a man. Only because she chose to turn him down, is why her life has taken this miserable turn. `I was left so speechless listening to their life stories. After all that they have gone through, both Reshma & Paoli are so full of life. They have left an ever-lasting impression on me and the way I think.`

Having centres in Kolkata, Mumbai & Delhi, ASFI are channelising all their efforts for a better life of these acid survivors. Talking about the foundation, Sonnalli said, `They are doing an incredible job in getting about a change and generating public awareness. All we can do is educate people to eradicate acid violence from India through social, educational and regulatory measures.`

Sonnalli was in Kolkata for some personal work and was overwhelmed by the reception her latest film has received.

Bold and beautiful: Sizzling photos of Bollywood star kids

Gorgeous daughters of famous B-Town celebs seem to have no inhibition in flaunting their hot bodies and svelte figures. Many of them have, in fact, taken to Instagram to post their dazzling images recently. Have a peek.

Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli certainly grabbed eyeballs by putting this smoking hot image of her in a bikini at a beach.

Jackie Shroff’s daughter Krishna posted this picture some time back, which became an instant hit.

Pooja Bedi’s ravishing daughter Aalia put this up on her account, which, for some inexplicable reason, was met with crude remarks. Aalia, mincing no words like, just like her mother, responded with a gem – “I am more just than my breasts.”

Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of Sridevi, also loves posting her candid pictures online. She too has had to face criticism, but doesn’t mind giving it back. This is what her recent post says, “I post my pictures because I feel good and confident. I put out these pictures not because I want to show off or try to be anyone or anything else.”

Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi is also active on Instagram, and keeps posting varied kinds of images rather frequently.

Girish Kumar: Not anticipating any censor problem with 'Loveshhuda

Actor Girish Kumar says even though the premise of his upcoming film ‘Loveshhuda’ might look bold, he is not anticipating any trouble from the censor board.

The romantic-comedy, directed by Vaibhav Misra, follows the life of two youngsters, who have a one-night-stand. Earlier, the film’s teaser, with the tag line “a love story that starts in bed”, was reportedly given an ‘A’ certificate by the censor because of the word ‘bed’ in it.

When asked if the makers are anticipating any cuts from the censor, Girish told reporters, “Bold… Well it’s actually a very real life thing. We are just trying to be as real as possible. And I think we haven’t done anything in the film which the censor will object to. We have done justice to the film with the script we had in hand.” The 26-year-old actor spoke at the trailer launch of the film last evening.

Girish, who made his big screen debut in the 2013 Prabhudheva directed ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’, said he will be seen in a new look in ‘Loveshhuda’. “It’s every actor’s job to do justice to the character. The script written by Vaibhav had a lot of depth for the character. So a lot of it came from the script, even the styling.” The film marks the Bollywood debut of 2013 Miss India winner Navneet Kaur Dhillon.

The actress believes acting and walking the ramp are two completely different things. “Acting is a completely different field as compared to beauty pageants and ramp walk. So talent is very important. I always believed I am a born actress. But yes, both are two different things.”

When asked if ‘Loveshhuda’ bares any resemblance to films like ‘Hangover’ and ‘Ek main aur Ekk Tu’, Girish said, “The film is very real and that (one night stand) is just a layout. To generalise that is not really fair. When people will get to see the film they will realise it has more than that. “I hope it becomes a musical blockbuster. The team has worked really hard on the music. I owe it to all to them, they are masters.” ‘Loveshhuda’ releases on February 5.

We know where we're headed: Keith Sequeira on love story with Rochelle Rao

After making his relationship with model and actress Rochelle Rao public via a reality TV show, actor Keith Sequeira says while there is still time for their wedding bells to ring, they are clear about where they are headed in their relationship.

The actor entered the ninth season of the popular reality TV show “Bigg Boss Nau” with Rochelle last year, and is glad that their relationship survived the bumpy journey of the controversial show.

Keith said they are meeting each other’s family for a better understanding.

“We know which way we are headed, and we are just sticking to it. She is going to meet my parents and I am going to meet her parents… So we are trying to get to know the families, get to know each other, what are the important things in each other’s life. Once we go through all of that, then we will put it together,” Keith told IANS.

The actor talked about his relationship with Rochelle with IANS last month when he became a part of seven-day Delhi Walk Festival, which was launched by Delhi, I Love you, an independent socio-cultural movement in Delhi.

When asked about doing more reality shows as a couple, Keith said they might do “some dance reality shows”.

Post “Bigg Boss”, the actor, who got fame as a video jockey, and did shows like “Dekho Magar Pyaar Se” and “Diya Aur Baati Hum”, is scouting for “good quality roles”.

He said: “My passion has always been acting. I am looking at good quality roles that will help me grow as an actor, and which I enjoy doing”.

Was Nimrat intimidated to work with Akki?

Actress Nimrat Kaur, who will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in the forthcoming film “Airlift”, says she was intimidated to work with the action star.

“I was very intimidated to work with him before I met him. Naturally, anybody would be. But, it takes a few seconds. Then everything is so normal. We had a great time working in this film. I got to learn a lot from him.

Arjun Kapoor gets a glimpse of 'dreamy' Delhi

Delhi is known for its energy and vibrancy. But a different side of the national capital was unfolded in front of Arjun Kapoor during his shooting schedule for “Ki and Ka” here. The actor says Delhi gets “a little still, a little dreamy and a little melancholy” during night.
The actor shared his experience of witnessing the serene side of the city on Twitter.

“Night shoot and you get to see a different side of Delhi…a little still, a little dreamy, a little melancholy…and lots of TRUCKS passing by,” Arjun tweeted.

Come morning, and the Gunday actor came up with a way to ditch the morning blues as he shared a selfie with India Gate in the background.

R. Balki’s Ki and Ka is a romantic film about two people with contrasting ideologies. While Arjun essays a progressive house husband, who lovingly supports his wife’s ambitions, Kareena Kapoor Khan portrays a super ambitious career-oriented woman in the movie.

The film is slated to hit the theatres next year.

Least rated Movies of 2016! i.indiaopines.com

2016 was a year of big bollywood hits. It witnessed some of the best movies of all time. The list includes some big names like Deadpool, Zootopia, Dangal, Sultan, Neerja and Doctor Strange which topped the charts worldwide and gained a round of applause from every kind of audience. From biopics of M.S Dhoni to the cinematic fights of Captain America and Iron Man, this year was like a gift to the movie buffs. The year went by and gave us a lot to live with good and bad both. At the same time, the year was full of movies which couldn’t tap into the audience’s mind and were flop at the box office. Here is a look at 5 lowest rated movies of 2016

Kya Kool Hain Hum 3–  The film is about Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani, who are famous pornstars and lead a great life. But their thrilling life goes for a toss when Tusshar`s girlfriend Mandana Karimi wants to get married to him. The rest of the story is how they try to convince her father that Tusshar is from a decent family. Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 goes the cliched route with a bunch of jokes we have heard and chosen to ignore over the years. This movie has to be in the list of worst movies of the year.

Kya Kool Hai Hum 2016 Flop

Baar Baar Dekho– What would you fix if you’re asked to travel in time? Will it be some mistake of yours or would you like to travel in the future to get a glimpse. The story of this film revolves around this concept. Sidharth Malhotra, a mathematical genius, finds himself travelling through time into the past and future until he learns to value his time in present. He gets to relive a significant day of his life in order to avert future setbacks. The movie was good with item numbers but overall, it failed to attract audiences and is one of the flop movies of 2016.

Baar Baar Dekho 2016 worst movie

Mastizaade- The film starts off with two friends, Sunny Kele played by Tusshar Kapoor and Aditya Chothia played by Vir Das, who are given tips on how to be Mastizaade by the senior in this genre Riteish Deshmukh. After that, they become chick magnets and girls can’t seem to keep their hands off them. The guys continue their flings till they meet the sisters, Lily Lele, and Laila Lele, both played by Sunny Leone and they get smitten by the twins that their chick-magnet fails to work. The rest of the film is about how the guys woo the girls while tackling a strict father, a gay brother and a handicapped, to-be-husband.

Mastizaade

Befikre- This movie is directed by Aditya Chopra and was considered his comeback after 8 years after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Befikre stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles and was in hype for some umpteen kissing scenes. The packaging of the movie is just how you’d like and expect it to be from YRF Films. It has Yash Raj written all over it including the opening credits, which tells ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ has matured and come a few steps forward in terms of everything. Not the best commercial film and lacks in spreading the young vibes.

I'm home, says Adnan Sami

Adnan Sami is rejoicing in his “New Year gift” in the form of Indian citizenship and the noted singer says he has finally made it home after a long journey.

Born in Britain with roots tracing to Pakistan, Sami was a Canadian citizen. He expressed his feelings by quoting a line from the 1982 film “Gandhi”.

He tweeted: “‘I’ve traveled so far. And all I’ve done is come back…home.’ (Quote from the movie ‘Gandhi’) #sotrue #Icanrelate.”

He was granted citizenship after he made a representation to the home ministry on May 26 requesting for it on humanitarian grounds.

The New Year started on a good note for Sami as he was given the certificate of Indian citizenship on Friday. He then took to the micro-blogging site to share that with the certificate comes “A new beginning. A new feeling. A new belonging. A new love affair. A new country. Jai Hind.”

Sami became a sensation in the country with hit songs like “Kabhi to nazar milao” and “Lift karaa de”, and he made ripples in Bollywood in 2015 with “Bhar do jholi”, which featured in Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”.

I'm comfortable with both Ranveer, Ranbir, says Deepika

Fresh from the release of “Tamasha”, in which she romanced former beau Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone is all geared up for the release of her next film “Bajirao Mastani”, co-starring Ranveer Singh. The actress says she is comfortable working with both actors.

Asked how promoting “Bajirao Mastani” with Ranveer is different from promoting “Tamasha” with Ranbir, Deepika said during a session at Agenda Aaj Tak: “Many told me,’You have two releases back to back with not even a month’s gap, you’ll be exhausted’. Just like you can see, he (Ranveer) doesn’t let me talk much, which is good. He himself starts on his own tone.”

`On other hand, Ranbir speaks very less. At that time, it becomes my job to make up (for him). But during ‘Bajirao Mastani’ promotions, he (Ranveer) makes up for me.”

“I’m comfortable with both of them. It depends on the situation. I’m very adaptable,` Deepika added.

Set to release on December 18, `Bajirao Mastani`, directed by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also stars Priyanka Chopra.

Talking about the film, Ranveer said: `Basically every Bhansali film is tagged as an emotional drama. But in ‘Bajirao Mastani’, people will get to see everything from emotional drama to action, romance, comedy and songs.`

While Deepika doesn’t have any other project lined up immediately after “Bajirao Mastani”, Ranveer will next be seen in filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s `Befikre`. The film will also star actress Vaani Kapoor.

`Since a long time I’ve had a dream to work with my mentor Aditya Chopra. I always wanted to star in a film in which he directs and I’ll be acting. It will be a beautiful romantic film. It will also feature Vaani. I’m really looking forward to this project. In ‘Befikre’, I’ll be clean shaved with long hair,” Ranveer said.

`Aditya sir is the reason because of which I’m here as he gave me my first break with his production venture ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’.”

Notably, Ranbir’s upcoming movie Tamasha with Deepika Padukone has got some of its scenes deleted due to the usage of few mild abusive words.

The Rockstar actor mentioned that obviously its censor board’s responsibility to balance movies and social values, but sometimes it gets too radical and strict because of which creativity gets hampered.

Did Karan skip 'Hate Story 3' promotions for Bipasha?

Karan Singh Grover leaves promotions for his film, ‘Hate Story 3’ at Jaipur mid-way, flies back to Mumbai to be with ‘special friend’ Bipasha Basu

Within moments of landing in Jaipur from Mumbai on Thursday, Karan Singh Grover made a quick U turn and took the next available flight back to Mumbai. Reason? The actor was missing his ‘special friend’ Bipasha Basu, who was believed to be apparently under the weather.

Karan was in the Pink City along with co-stars Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan and Daisy Shah and director Vishal Pandya for the promotion of their film, ‘Hate Story 3’.

If the grapevine is to be believed, Karan apparently did not inform the rest of the unit that he was taking off. They realised it much later that he was back at the airport waiting to board a flight to Mumbai.

Says a source, “As soon as the unit reached the hotel, they dispersed to their rooms to get ready for a promotional event. But Karan told them he had some work and disappeared. They assumed that he had stepped out for a while, but later they realised that he was on a flight back to Mumbai. They then continued with the promotional activities sans him.”

Adds the source, “Karan appeared to be pre-occupied and relunctant to be part of the promotional activities.

Moreover, when he realised that the hairdresser who had accidentally dropped a hot tong and burnt Bipasha’s face and hands while doing her hair for a shoot recently, was part of the ‘Hate Story 3’ trip to Jaipur, he saw red. His behaviour made it clear that he was not happy to have her in their midst.”

On November 27, Bipasha had tweeted, “Started my day of shoot with multiple burns on my face and hands by a so called senior hair stylist. She did not even flinch after dropping the tong. Inhuman. Think she came drunk to work. Unbelievable!” Karan remained unavailable for comment.

Box office: 'Dilwale' beats 'Bajirao Mastani', crosses Rs 100 cr worldwide

In the box office race, ‘Dilwale’ has remained ahead of ‘Bajirao Mastani’. While the SRK-Kajol starrer crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark worldwide in its opening weekend, the historical drama, featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, minted Rs. 46.77 crore in India.

‘Dilwale’, Rohit Shetty’s romantic action-comedy, has collected Rs. 121 crore in its opening weekend worldwide. It’s India business stands at Rs. 65.09 crore, and it made 8.5 million dollars (approximately Rs. 56 crore) came in from the overseas market. Both the films released on Friday.

Starring Shah Rukh, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles, “Dilwale” is receiving hearty response abroad, says trade analyst Komal Nahta.

“Dilwale Overseas: Gulf – biggest ever opening for a Bollywood film, and the number one film this weekend, higher than ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and other films,” Nahta posted on Twitter.

“Britain – highest opening for a Bollywood film in 2015. Australia – biggest opening of 2015, biggest ever for SRK. Malaysia – biggest opening for a Bollywood film. New Zealand – number two on box office charts. US – number nine in top 10 chart,” he added.

The collection of “Bajirao Mastani” witnessed a good hike over the weekend and the film is going strong in theatres with positive word of mouth, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

“#BajiraoMastani is unstoppable. Super word of mouth translates into super biz. Friday Rs.12.80 crore, Saturday Rs.15.52 crore, Sunday Rs.18.45 crore. Total: Rs.46.77 crore,” Adarsh tweeted.

“Bajirao Mastani” made Rs. 12.80 crore on its opening day after releasing in 3,050 screens in India, while it is reported that “Dilwale” made its way into as many as 2,700 screens.

As both films are made over a budget of Rs. 100 crore, the upcoming days would be crucial for them in theatres.

There would be no competition for “Dilwale” and “Bajirao Mastani” on Christmas and January 1, so they will have sufficient time to prove their mettle.

Big Mystery: What's brewing between Hrithik and Kangana?

With B-Town abuzz with news about Kangana Ranaut-Hrithik Roshan’s ‘relationship’ since last weekend, we dig deeper to find out what exactly could have transpired between the two.

It was a year ago that Kangana Ranaut in her characteristic candid manner let a secret out that set tongues wagging. She had hinted that she’s seeing someone, and her love life is exciting, but she was also treading cautiously since she said that she wanted to ensure everything worked out before making the relationship public. Soon after, it was reported that the mystery man in her life was Hrithik Roshan. But the actor denied the whole report, openly asking the reporter to go see a shrink.

Sources say that this could have been because Hrithik was still dipping his toes in water as far as Kangana was concerned and might have not been sure of the relationship at that time. Sources close to the duo say that they were friends even while working in ‘Kites’ (2010). “Hrithik was going through some trouble in his personal life at that time and he would talk to Kangana about it and that’s how they got close and became friends.”

The two are said to have got closer during the shoot of ‘Krrish 3’ (2013). After Hrithik’s divorce with Sussanne Khan, his wife for 13 years, came through, it seemed like their friendship went to another level. Sources close to the stars say, “Kangana and Hrithik continued meeting each other till the story of their relationship broke out and then Hrithik tweeted denying it all.”

Soon, their relationship is said to have blossomed again as “they obviously like fighting with each other”, said a source with a smile. “Their on and off relationship has been going on for a while now, even though Hrithik has not spoken about it openly,” said the source.

However, a bigger rift seems to have taken place now as a whole new controversy erupted when they were not on talking terms. The entire scene that happened a year ago seemed to play all over again as Kangana in an interview made a telling remark about “exes who do silly things to get your attention”, when asked if she was ousted from ‘Aashiqui 3’ starring Hrithik Roshan. Surprisingly, even though she did not take Hrithik’s name, he retorted with a tweet saying something to the effect that he would rather go out with the Pope than the wonderful women he’s linked with.

While their sly remarks and tweets keep us amused, one should mention that Kangana seems to have won this round with her endearing honesty again. Her reaction to Hrithik’s tweet is more direct. “I respect the other person’s opinion. It’s very likely that a person can have a different perspective of the same situation or rather the past. But then, stick to your stand. Don’t contradict yourself and slyly pursue people, spy on them and chase them. So, we sign and seal the deal, and then move on.”

Looks like the gutsy girl is ready to finally move on, from whatever situation she is in.

October 3, 2014
After earning rave reviews for ‘Queen’, in which Kangana’s character sets out on a journey of self-discovery after being dumped by her fiancee, the actress revealed about a new man in her life in an interview: “My love life is exciting. When you are in love, you kind of have to be sure about things that you make public. I hope it works out… Love is such a thing; it’s so special, so I hope I get in a position of talking about it in public.” She, however, did not reveal her special someone’s name.

December 11, 2014
A city daily suggested that Hrithik Roshan is Kangana’s mystery man and that they have become serious about each other after being friends for seven years and working together in two films – ‘Kites’ and ‘Krrish 3’. It also said, “Two months ago, she wasn’t sure where the relationship was going because Hrithik was going through a divorce from his now ex-wife Sussanne Roshan.”

The next day, the actor slammed the daily on social media in his post that read, “This is so absurd it doesn’t even get me angry. Are these papers and writers just plain delusional? Price of being single I guess. But I”m not paying. Unless it’s for the shrink who I think these journos need. 🙂 u guys have a wonderful day (sic).”

October 31, 2015
Entertainment websites ran stories of Kangana and Hrithik avoiding each other at a film festival. However, industry sources claimed that it was an attempt to hoodwink the public into believing they were no more together. “They’ve decided to take it easy in public, as Hrithik is currently going through a complicated divorce proceeding. If shown to be in a relationship so soon after his separation from his wife then he would end up looking like a bad father. He has asked his PR team to go slow on the single-ready-to-mingle image.”

When asked about the alleged affair, Hrithik reportedly said, “Oh my God! What should I say about it?”

The previous month, Kangana had also denied the rumours (probably since they were going through their “off” phase) while promoting her last film when she stated, “I don’t have anyone in my life as of now. I am single but I am not open to dating because I am committed to my films and roles. Relationship is a lot of work. I don’t want to be unfair to someone.”

January 28, 2016
Asked for her reaction on being ousted from Aashiqui 3 which apparently features Hrithik Roshan, she said, “Yes, many lame rumours are doing rounds, even a dumb ass can tell where these rumours are coming from. I don’t know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me that chapter is over and I don’t dig graves.” While media went into a tizzy over Kangs referring to Hrithik as an ex, the actor, who usually keeps mum about his personal life, retorted on Twitter: “Ther r more chances of me having had an affair with d Pope dan any of d (Im sure wonderful)women d media hs ben naming. Thanks but no thanks. (sic).”

Kareena raises voice for women power

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan says the issue of gender bias is something which has still not become a centre of discussion.

The 35-year-old actress will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Ki & Ka’, directed by R Balki. The film features Arjun Kapoor as progressive house-husband supporting his wife, enacted by Kareena, who is a career-oriented woman.

“It is a very different film because of the concept of gender bias. It’s an issue which nobody addresses. There is a stay-at-home husband, there is a woman who wants to work,” Kareena told PTI.

“Today anyways women are there in every field, they are leading the pack. They are definitely more independent than what they were 20 years ago,” she said. Kareena, who last worked in Salman Khan-starrer “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, said it was a challenge to make her character that of an ambitious young woman ¿ real and believable.

“It’s a very interesting role where I have tried to play a girl which will make the audience feel she is as normal as the viewer watching the film. When you play a character, your body type becomes like that. Whether you play a footballer, or boxer, your clothes and hair push you to do that. “But here, to play a normal girl who works at a marketing agency and to make it really believable that she is ambitious, is I think a lot more difficult,” she said. The film may deal with unconventional issues, but when the script was offered to Kareena there was no apprehension at all as she agreed to it without listening the second-half.

“I signed it the minute I heard. When I heard the first-half of the film and it was interval, I told Balki sir don’t tell me the second-half, I am on it,” she said. When asked if her actor-husband Saif Ali Khan has any similarities with the character of Arjun in the film, Kareena said, “Well, not really, because both of us are working in the same profession, so it makes it a lot more difficult. But I am sure Saif won’t mind relaxing a bit more at home.” ‘Ki & Ka’ releases on April 1.

Watch Sunny's sensual avatar in 'Mastizaade' teaser

The teaser of Milap Zaveri’s sex comedy ‘Mastizaade’ starring Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das is out.

Recently, the motion poster of the film was unveiled.

The film ran into trouble earlier this year for its risque content. Both the examining and revising panels of the Censor Board refused to certify the film featuring the actress in a double role alongside, following which the makers had to approach the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal.

However, this body also rejected the film for public viewing. It finally received its censor certificate in August after the makers agreed to 200 cuts. It was slated to release on December 4, but the date was pushed ahead to avoid a clash with erotic thriller ‘Hate Story 3’.

‘Mastizaade’ will now release on January 29.

Co-written by Milap and Mushtaq Sheikh, ‘Mastizaade’ is a raunchy comedy of errors revolving around Aditya Chotia (Das) and Sunny Kele (Kapoor) who fall for the twin sisters, Lily and Laila, played by Leone.

Milap has earlier penned movies like ‘Masti’ franchise, ‘Housefull’ and directed ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’.

Censor's scissor dealt brutally with 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3'

No orgasm, no horny names… The Censor Board continues playing prude even with a film that claims to be India’s first porn-com. A few things in ‘Kyaa Kool Hai Hum 3’ that Censors found offensive.

The third instalment of ‘Kyaa Kool Hain Hum’, touted as India’s first porn-com, may not turn out to be as titillating as intended to be.

The Censor Board has effected 34 cuts (contrary to reports suggesting 150 cuts) in the film which is set to hit theatres next week. This, despite the makers themselves having asked for an ‘A’ certificate. We give you details of a few allegedly obscene scenes/dialogues that got the Board’s goat and were removed from the film:

> Abhishek’s character was earlier called Horny Singh, but it had to be changed to Mickey Singh. Well, what will you call Mickey if he’s feeling horny? Sick-y Singh? Because if you are thinking of sex, you’ve got to be sick.

A still from the Oh Boy song in which a particular hand gesture didn’t go down well with the Board

> A major chunk of the song ‘Oh Boy’ picturised on Tusshar Kapoor and Mandana Karimi was deleted, since the board felt that a few hand movements resembled the act of masturbation. Oh boy, why don’t we just ban masturbation!

> A 30-second orgasmic scene featuring Giselle Thakral was cut down to eight seconds. After all, why should girls have so much fun?

Censor Board saw red over the ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ spoof called ‘Mughal-E-Orgasm’

> In one of the spoofs, Giselle refers to the 1960 classic ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ as ‘Mughal-E-Orgasm’. But the makers were asked to delete the word ‘orgasm’. Now, listen to this: Tusshar Kapoor is seen dressed up as Devil a la Salman Khan in ‘Kick’ (2014) and the film was called ‘Dick’. The Censor Board got it changed to ‘Lick’. That makes it so much better, doesn’t it?

> Mandana’s dialogue “Tum mere andar ho” (you are inside me) was changed to a vague “Tum mere yahaan ho” (you are here with me). And then, a shimmy act in which one of the girls shakes her breasts was reduced.

When Deepika Padukone opened up about her depression on Barkha Dutt’s recent show, it was quite visible that she was fighting with herself, her struggle wasn’t over. She confessed how difficult it was to accept that she had a mental illness and needed medicines, something she had out rightly avoided initially. She explained how she used to cry, for hours, without any reason and that agony continued for a substantive amount of her life. She had her family, but in many other cases, there are so many actresses who fall prey to heavy drinking, smoking, drug addiction and even suicidal tendencies. No one has the time for them. They are as good as the last Friday’s Box office review And that rejection berates and rebukes their very soul, quite menacingly.

Shah Rukh Khan: Rohit Shetty is romantic, I am an action guy

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, known as the ‘king of romance’, insists that he is more of an action guy.

However, the 50-year-old actor believes Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty, known for his action movies, is a romantic person.

“I think Rohit Shetty, our director, is romantic. I am more like action (guy). I seem soft and sweet from outside but I am hard and tough from within. While with Rohit it seems he is different from out… Tough, but from within he is sweet … Soft person,” Shah Rukh told reporters here at the song launch event of his upcoming film Dilwale.

Shah Rukh and Kajol are back with yet another love song, Gerua from Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale which releases on December 18.

“The story is the inspiration behind romance. That song ‘Suraj Hua Madham’ we shot in the hot climate… In Egypt while this song ‘Gerua’ we shot in cold temperature in Iceland. I think it is about expression of love,” SRK said when asked about the similarities between the two songs.

The song Gerua was shot at various locations that looked exotic on screen. But Kajol reveals, “It was very challenging as we shot in Iceland…We were freezing.”

Sharing similar views, the Chennai Express star says, “It was difficult to shoot the song. It took two-three hours to set the song… Rohit Shetty, our director, wanted wider shot so we had helicopter to capture the moments.”

The event was held at Maratha Mandir, a theatre in Mumbai Central here, where SRK-Kajol’s blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was running for over 1,000 weeks. The event saw actor Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon dancing to hit tracks of the legendary pair – “Suraj hua Madham”, “Tujhe dekha toh”, “Yeh Kaali Kaali Aakhen” and others.

2015 Recap: Bollywood 'couples' who kept rumour mills buzzing

2015 saw a number of Bollywood stars being linked up, but they kept us guessing all year long. Wonder if they will continue to play coy

Secret dinners, hush hush holidays, sweet exchanges on social media and more, but they will not admit to being a twosome. This year, a few Bollywood actors kept rumour mills buzzing for their off-screen chemistry with co-stars or industry outsiders, but they have still not confirmed their relationship status. A look at such ‘couples’:

Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam

The two started seeing each other while working for Divya Khosla Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Sanam Re’. By the time the Simla schedule began, they had become inseparable, claim sources. The link up buzz followed with cracks in Pulkit’s marriage (to longtime sweetheart Shweta Rohira, Salman Khan’s rakhi sister). The wife has confirmed that she is splitting from Pulkit, but he and Yami don’t seem ready yet to talk about their relationship.

Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra

When they debuted together in ‘Student of the Year’ (2012), they were just as friendly as co-stars are expected to be. But somewhere down the line, the two seemed to have gotten serious about each other. Ever since they returned from their 2015 New Year holiday, they are speculated to be a couple. The buzz reached a crescendo when they began shooting for Shakun Batra’s ‘Kapoor & Sons’ earlier this year. A long schedule in Coonoor and Ooty apparently ignited the spark. Alia has been clicked visiting Sid’s home in Bandra though the two evade being spotted together in public. When asked about their relationship, they prefer to just smile. If the grapevine is to be believed, the two are going strong.

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover

Bips took everyone by surprise when she agreed to star opposite the television actor in the horror flick, ‘Alone’. During the shoot, both were going through personal upheavals – the actress had parted ways with beau Harman Baweja while Karan’s marriage with actress Jennifer Winget had ended. Initially, it appeared that their love story was a publicity stunt for their film. But long after the film released, Bips and Karan continue to paint the town red with their romance. The duo is often spotted at nightclubs and have even holidayed together. The two have been posting their lovey dovey snapshots on social media, but still refuse to admit that they are a couple.
