Revealed: Why Bigg Boss celebs fail to make it big after the show!

Bigg Boss may be India’s number one reality show! But history has it that most celebs do not know how to handle the instant fame once they attain stardom from it. They are unable to propel themselves to the next level and fade and fizzle out, or return to their past status over time. So why does this happen?

“It is not only important to be a star, but crucial to maintain the buzz and constantly grow from it. And that’s where the maximum ‘BB returns’ falter,” remarks Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar who has handled the media for a full 20 contestants since the first season.

“The instant success and newfound fan base, largely consisting of diehard, fanatical, nasty and fickle-minded idolizing Twitterati, goes to the heads of many. They cease professional PR activity after the show, assuming they have arrived. In all this adulatory frenzy, what they don’t realize is that Bollywood industry circles work on different parameters,” analyzes the public relations expert.

“After enjoying the powerful Bigg Boss platform, the participants forget to draw up a PR strategy to sustain the momentum required to build their careers further. But the worst scenario is for those who lack the knowledge, focus, vision, guidance, contacts and connections to promote their careers after the humongous hype,” explains the publicist.

True! Given the kind of publicity the contestants get, including weekly attention from megastar host Salman Khan, it would be very important to streamline and channelize their future imaging and branding plans with foresight. Even the show’s winners have lacked that.

Shocking! When SRK was slapped by a woman in Mumbai

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made quite a few candid confessions at the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Fan’. While many were amusing, one of them came as a shocker!

While replying to a fan’s question on whether he came by flight or train the first time he travelled to Mumbai, the actor revealed that he came to Mumbai by train and was even slapped by a woman on that journey!

Narrating the ordeal, SRK said, “I came by train for the first time when I came to Mumbai. The train would turn into a local after entering Mumbai which I was not aware of. So I did not let a few people sit on my berth saying that it is mine, ‘I paid for it.’ I did offer it to a lady, though, saying, ‘you can sit but I won’t let the men with you sit on my berth’. And that lady slapped me real hard saying that ‘it isn’t yours, it is everybody’s.”

Not quite the welcome one would expect into a new city!

In ‘Fan’, Khan will be seen playing two roles, one of a superstar Aryan Khanna and the other of his fan Gaurav, who comes across as his lookalike.

After the teaser of the film and the anthem track ‘Jabra Fan’ gave the impression that it was a ‘sweet and simple’ kind of film, the trailer might have surprised his fans, considering that this ‘fan’ gets agitated after an unpleasant experience with his favourite star and wants to get even with him.

However, Shah Rukh Khan denied that the ‘fan’ character he plays bears resemblance to his ‘psycho’ characters in films ‘Darr’ and ‘Baazigar’.

Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, ‘Fan’ releases on April 15.

It has been an everyday occurence. before it was about loving and living toegther but these days the news is all about breakups, cheating and more. Why is it that these couples who have got everything they need – fame, money and beautiful partners cheat, fight and breakup? I think that affects the society too as young adults will be influenced by the fact that breakups are okay or an everyday occurence.

Salman Khan and Portia, the Daniel comes to judgment on the final verdict of a humane judgement ! i.indiaopines.com

submitted 2 years ago by in Bollywood

Read/Discuss. Details
Article Details

Salman Khan and the Daniel comes to judgment and the final verdict! A pedestrians view SOS Harish Salve!

Me Lord the Government stands guilty at 35%, the Police at 25%, Lack of ideas in Mumbai Muni. Corpn. 15%, Pavement squatters themselves to be blamed at 15% and Sallu bhai at a sad 10% ! My Lord, I shall substantiate my points now to demolish bit by bit the fashionable wannabes’ stand, who just wish to do some lip service in their shallow siding of the poor and downtrodden!

This is just a point of view and why should anyone be closed not to mull over other points of opinion, regardless of where the final decision goes, as that is about fate and not in our hands! Like in a management class, we learn, there are more than a few ways to tackle one single situation; the final plunge can always be taken after mulling over all of them, then take a decision on the best balanced one, but do give Salman a chance!

So what are the options over here with Salman Khan? Lets give an ace journalist the first say. Is it not an artificial rant of an Oxford returned journalist, well you got to decide and I’d quote Sagarika Ghose – “ When a rich drunk person, without license drives a SUV over poor people, kills one, hurts 3, he won’t be punished – if he’s a celebrity. Farcical!” Well she junks Salman’s claim to freedom.

Who will tell her, to forgive is Divine, and to err is Human and yes, it is was an accident! The Oxford dictionary defines ‘accident’ an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly & unintentionally, typically resulting in damage, death or injury!

This is extremely sad that people wish to take pot shots at rich and the famous, to find out how popular their tweets become and do some arm chair socialism talk. Where were they before the accident – do they ever raise the topic of slum dwellers, their abject miserable lives and how they could help these less fortunate ones; years after years pass and all these 13 years after the accident have also passed, have you ever spoken of the homeless, try and get them some night shelter to hide their ignoble heads in?

Goddamnit, for God’s sake, it’s a Road a pavement, not a house or a night shelter! A road, supposed to have trucks, buses, cars and all sorts of vehicles at different speeds, where no one rules out the possibility of a road accident, which occurs by the dime and dozen in our huge big country, all due to an error of human judgment! Its common sense that you skirt / invite trouble if you are to sleep by the roadside, its for one’s asking; come on, don’t you find it suicidal to sleep in a pavement of a busy Mumbai road! And don’t you realize that this is very much a State fault, it’s a multi – fault line! Roti, Kapdaa aur Makaan are a destitutes’ right, which have not been provided to the under privileged after 67 years of independence!

Secondly, tell me why the night patrol Police cannot be taken to task for not ensuring the pavements / roads are clear and not used as an open night shelter and shoe them off from such vulnerable spots, so that these squatters may not expose themselves to such a dangerous situation! Is it not something like asking for trouble … sleeping in pavements, so close to the road would you allow it too anyone known to you poor or rich! So why can’t we support the very correct point of view of Abhijeet Bhattacharya barring the harsh words which too are part of the bitter truth !

Ms Ghose, why have you not addressed the bigger problems all these years that you are now singing and tweeting a ‘be-sura’ tweet; is it coz’ its fashionable or are you truly following social developments very seriously and your heart bleeds for the downtrodden! I ask why, why these careless rants, its just not necessary! Please read your pre-scripted news on television, which you are good at, don’t pass uncalled for, unsubstantiated, immature judgments!

And my last point, thirdly – why the local municipal corporation have not a.) provided night shelters b.) Why are parks not used to sleep out at night c.) Why stadia’s can’t be opened up to house the hapless at night d.) In rainy seasons why buses can’t be used to give overnight shelters to the homeless!

My simple point is why these relevant questions cannot be asked to the politicians, instead of pushing Salman to the dungeons!

In fact this case should be used to have a catalytic effect on some of the growth issues of the state, which has obviously not taken place in ages … and this accident could be a turning point in the fate of these slum dwellers; while it should be made into a big issue for giving homes to the homeless and simultaneously have a zero tolerance to any new squatters who should not be allowed to invade Mumbai roads where accidentally a poor xyz celebrity and the hapless victims get into another sad fateful incident!

Now, coming to the question as to, why we are talking about soft peddling Salman’s case? Khuda Qasam, Salman ek nek dil insaan with a Golden heart, how can you take that away from him and how can you do him in for 5 years, impossible! No one wants even a 5 months or 5 weeks term for him, for that matter! In case you have to satiate your judgmental egos and come out with the great theory of – “ Drunken driving is a serious offence, like a person going on a killing spree, he should not be allowed to go scot free. ” Well then give him an exemplary punishment for 5 days and then release him! But, why this special treatment for him, you’ll ask? So here you are … TOI brought out recently, top 10 Humanitarian contributions and I quote:

Salman Khan is amongst the most charitable stars in Bollywood, he is famous for his large heartedness, spurt of on the moment reactions. Here are the points:

  1. Santa Salman : For Salman Khan everyday seems to be Christmas, as he plays the role of year-round Santa Claus to perfection. There is a famous story of a child, who refused to eat until Salman Khan came in person to meet him. The worried parents ran helter-skelter until Sallu heard of it; true to his trademark style, he stopped shooting and made a dash to meet the kid and grant him his wish. No mean achievement!
  1. Help to destitute prisoners :  Salman Khan learned that many prisoners were unable to secure their release from prison. The reason being, they simply did not have money to pay for the legal fine slapped on them. In order to reunite 400 jailed convicts with their families, Salman Khan paid nearly 40 Lakhs through his NGO Being Human.

3. Homeless Kids :

Salman Khan always has had soft corner for homeless kids. Perhaps part of the reason is his own fractured childhood. Being Human is majorly involved in the upliftment for the poor and homeless kids.

4. Charity for Needy

Salman Khan’s generosity for those hit by natural disaster or in dire need of money is not so well known. His charity organization, Being Human, donated Rs.50 Lacs to flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir, besides victims of Bihar floods. He also donated 200 lenses for visually challenged in Sri Lanka. He instantly donated Rs.45 lakh to an old age home.

  1. Cancer Patients

Salman Khan has always been leading and advocating the rights of cancer patients & need to provide them with timely and affordable treatment. He has helped patients with dire needs.

  1. Child – Labour Free India

Salman Khan used his star-appeal and the support of his legions of fans nation-wide, to help eradicate India of child labour. Bachpan Bachao Andolan was a thought headed by them, but Salman Khan’s association, lent weight, gravity and width to the campaign.

  1. Bone Marrow Donation

A little girl Pooja suffering from a life threatening disease was in need of Bone marrow donor. On learning of her requirement, Salman Khan asked his entire football team to go and donate, but when they backed out, the superstar himself landed up at the hospital with his brother Arbaaz Khan and donated his bone marrow.

  1. Clothes, Merchandise, Lifestyle, and Café

Being Human’s business model – for lack of a better word – is based on generating money to finance its charitable activities. It also plans to have larger lifestyle stores and also enter into the cafe’ business. As Salman Khan has often said, he wants Being Human to be his legacy, to be much bigger than him and eventually outlast him.

  1. Never Signed a Cheque

This story comes from the superstar’s sister, Alvira Khan. She has stated that Salman Khan had never signed a check until 6 months back. He hates money matters, has no idea of all his assets, including a three bungalows farmhouse in Panvel, several properties in and around Mumbai. He enjoys the freedom to concentrate on work, never to be bothered about bank accounts, investments and properties which his father handles.

  1. Mr. 10%

Salman Khan is not in the business of making a 10% cut in the under table deals. Instead, he keeps just 10% of his earnings for himself and donates the rest to charity. Not surprisingly, his lawyers pleaded before the court that Salman Khan had donated a massive amount of 42 crores in just 3 years.

Salman Khan thus is a giver. God has given him the contraptions to be a HERO, so what can he do, but be one!! He is not a selfish person. He has shown bigger than life large heartedness and what he can do, an ordinary person like you and me cannot! If I was in his place you could have thrown me into jail for a few years I wouldn’t care … In fact I wish I could offer myself if that would condone Salman’s!

And now for a bombshell! There is a niche audience who have the information of a corporate’s son in his new Austin Martin (priced at a whopping 1.5 crores) very recently spotted, driven at a break neck speed only to crash near a bridge, killing 2 persons outright on this Mumbai road! A newspaper reporting was taken off at the nick of the moment, not a single channel ran the news (as all them are controlled by the megalo businessman ‘n owner of RIL).

Now, this corporate businessman has the well known reputation of taking out one rupee from every Indian’s pocket everyday, thus translating to 1 billion rupees everyday; and then he commits a crime in getting his son’s criminal sins gagged! HE KILLS, GAGS AND GOES SCOT FREE, MS. SAGORIKA GHOSE WHY SHOULD SALMAN THE MAD HATTER, ALWAYS ACT GOD, DONATE AND GIVE AWAY SO MUCH AND BEAR A PAIN FOR 13 YEARS’ TORTURE, THEN WHY CAN’T HE BE PARDONED!!

THE CURSE ONE DAY WILL FALL ON THE RICH BUT SALMAN IS A GOOD SAMARITAN TO THE BONE, AND EACH AND EVERY POOR PERSONS’ “DUA” / BLESSING IS WITH HIM! SO PLEASE START THINKING GOOD ABOUT THIS ONE MAN ANGELIC ARMY!

His good deeds far outweigh his short comings, so there has to be mercy and there are no two ways about it! He has kept millions entertained, brought smiles to the faces of so many hapless, how can we forget him as a great gift from God to all mankind? Answer these few questions and you shall get your replies! May God bless this man! For me he is just poor fellow, victim of circumstance!

What is done cannot be undone, so the punitive action that is to be meted out to a man of as great a following, talent, and capacity, obviously God’s chosen child, cannot just be the guillotine / lynch / or a jail. As an exemplary judgment he should be made to take complete responsibility of the victim’s family, give them a good life as a compensation for the rest of their living. As a matter of fact a new law could be enacted for the dream world merchants and the likes of Salman for such an unintentional crime, who are very capable of earning handsomely! They should be made to earn and voluntarily donate 10% of their earnings, which should get deposited to the court every month for disbursing to those hapless victims’ families!!

We got to stop cribbing about rich and famous rant, Salman is not just another spoilt brat of a rich man hurtling down Mumbai roads; acknowledge the celluloid Hero is a real life Hero too – as Salman Khan is, a true larger than life Human being worshipped by the poor and loved by his artistic fraternity – men or women, some of them rich, bold and beautiful! Its not just about another hit and run case!

Why is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looking so tired? st1.bollywoodlife.com

Is the Jazbaa shoot taking a toll on the actress? A picture can speak a thousand words and this one surely did!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s beauty has been described in many ways by many men and women. She is one of the most beautiful women on earth and we can’t agree more. That was also one of the reasons why we were so eager to see her back onscreen. Fortunately, the actress gave her nod to Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa; so very soon she will be on 70mm once again. But guess the shoot is turning out to be too strenuous for Aishwarya. A recent picture of her makes her look tired and tad sleep-deprived.

It won’t be wrong to say that Aishwarya’s eyes are her assets. They are glorious, light coloured and extremely expressive. Hence, the same couldn’t hide the actress’s tiredness during the second schedule wrap of Jazbaa. It is big and bright, but it seems weary. Although she isn’t devoid of makeup as is evident, it failed to conceal her tired out face.

With a firangi NRI hero to create a forced love triangle and we know who will get the Dulhaniya.

“I feel it’s hypocritical self-styled moralists and the Aamir Khans of the world, who are more frightening and injurious. I am appalled at his sudden self-righteous mode. He has completely forgotten his body of work – the double meaning song, ‘Bhaag DK Bose’ in Delhi Belly, and the PK poster where he left nothing to the imagination, putting Sunny Leone to shame,” said Pooja.

Aamir Khan Opines on AIB Roast, Calls It An Violent Act!

Always known to be a man who speaks his mind, and being assertive about every aspect of his life, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan had a thing or two to say about the very controversial AIB Knockout Roast starring Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, among others.

At yesterday’s Youth for Governance 2015 against corruption event, he was asked by a member of the press about his take on the extremely popular, yet severely criticised show that was promoted on Youtube.

“I was deeply affected by that. I completely believe in the freedom of speech. But we have to understand that we all have a certain responsibility,” he said in response.

“There was a lot of violence in that event. Violence need not be just physical, it can be verbal, it can be emotional. I am not impressed with “gaalis”, that age has long gone. I am not longer 14, that I will laugh at someone giving a “gaali”. I am not impressed by bad language,” he continued.

Raising concerns over increasing corruption in the country, Aamir Khan has joined My Right, My Responsibility themed Youth for Governance 2015.

What’s So ‘Vulgar’ About The AIB Roast?

“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world was awake India shut her eyes to life and freedom. A moment came, not rare in history, when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, lost utterance.” Pandit Nehru just shuddered in his grave.

AIB roast controversy

I am referring to the infamous FIR against a team of artists – comedians, and also citizens of India. The very fact that #AIBNationalShame and #WeStandByAIBKnockout have been top trends on Twitter in India speaks volumes about how the threat to freedom of speech and expression is one of our most crucial battles.

Before stating my opinion on the debate, let’s get our basics right. First things first, the genre of insult comedy is self-explanatory – it’s humour derived from insulting another person. The genre has been quite popular internationally for decades now, started as early as 1949 by The Friars Club. So, when the All India Bakchod organized the AIB Knockout in January featuring Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh with Karan Johar as the roastmaster, the first question which came to my mind was – “are we there yet?”.

I thought we were. We were finally “saying in public what we say in parties”, as Rohan Joshi said on the show. They were not talking about something ‘alien’ or out-of-the-box. But the breakthrough can be seen in their attempt to initiate a dialogue in public on issues that we have conveniently confined to our private comfort zones. Their sword was humour, the kind we indulge in with our friends. Stand up comedy is a form of resistance. Even when some of the jokes were directed towards homosexuals, in a way they were a step towards addressing the issue of homophobia. That was their way of entering into conversation. So I see it as bringing a self-actualization principle, and of us as rising to a new conscience.

The argument is not about acquiring a feigned sense of modernity by aping something from the “western culture”. It was “different” from the usual run-off-the-mill comedy, and refreshing. Judging it within the framework of a traditional comedy is completely missing the point.

I think the medium and the demographic placement of the artists also needs to be looked at, the AIB is a YouTube channel, entitled to their opinion. There is a certain kind of creative freedom and freedom of expression that the internet not only entails but also necessitates. One cannot ignore the operative mechanism which grants one form of entertainment a primetime slot on television, while ‘the other’ resort to more permissive and liberal platforms such as the web. Usually, not essentially, it is true that thoughts which do not cohere with the dominant ideology harbour themselves on the internet. Away from state-censorship and corporate pressure, the internet becomes the platform for the audience to enjoy those pockets of entertainment.

According to a global public opinion poll conducted by the BBC World Service in 2010, majority of the users, including the Indian users, strongly agreed that the Internet had brought them more freedom, they saw it as a fundamental right, and it gave them the space to express their opinion. So, it is not as if people are repressed and that’s why they avail entertainment on the internet. That is not the principle at work here. On the contrary, it is the social filtering and moral policing, which is the most regressive and redundant form of control as manifested through the FIR.

If one looks at the entertainment presented to us in prime time TV, the hypocrisy of the system is exposed. How about our very own home-grown desi Russel Peters, our most celebrated and loved show Comedy Nights With Kapil. Isn’t the humour on the show misogynistic, sexist, racist, homophobic and insensitive to gender ? But we laugh out loud!

The dispute is really the fact that the state cannot be selective about such actions. Threat to freedom of expression is the most disgraceful thing to be happening in the world’s largest democracy. The threat to creative freedom is perhaps the worst fear of an artist.

The humour on the AIB Knockout was sharp. Could it have been done in a “less offensive” manner? Maybe. Maybe not. I’m not advocating “their brand of humour”, but intent and context are two crucial aspects to be kept in mind when one discourses upon what is it that constitutes the funny. Say they were bad, scorn them. But by maintaining silence on the charges against them, you are siding with the oppressor and making them powerful.

Remember that the operative principle here is : “I do not find your joke funny, but I will defend to death your right to crack it

The Bollywood Movie- 2 States was released last year in 2014 and made it to the 100-crore-at-Box-Office-club.
It’s based on the novel of the same name by popular author, Chetan Bhagat. He was also associated with the film-making process. The movie is faithful to the book. However, it’s an abridged version and some key characters like Dolly are missing in the movie.
Krish and Ananya are wonderfully portrayed by the young rising stars- Arjun Kapoor & Alia Bhatt. The movie, like the book, is about the Locha-e-Ulfat (problem of love) that happens when IIM MBA students Krish and Ananya meet.
What happens next? To learn more, read my review 🙂

When a Movie Gets Political: Case of Haider letbeautybeyourconstantideal.blogspot.in

Vishal Bhardwaj has managed to present, for the most part, a good adaptation of this powerful story using an interesting and engaging narration. The lead actors in the film have performed their parts very well, making the experience of movie watching quite enjoyable. But what puzzles me (and perhaps many other people too, if I go by some of the comments and discussions going on in social media and also on the basis of a few reviews of the film) is the choice of political context in which the story of Haider has been situated. This article presents a list of seven points which made me wonder whether this time around the filmmaker’s love for Shakespeare has taken a backseat to his politics in this third adaptation of the bard’s plays. – See more at: http://letbeautybeyourconstantideal.blogspot.in/2014/10/when-movie-gets-political-case-of-haider.html

Kajol: I wanted to get out of my comfort zone for 'Dilwale'

Kajol in a candid conversation reveals why she chose to wait for years before coming back to films and about her 22-year-old friendship with Shah Rukh Khan

Kajol is munching on a protein bar and chiding herself at the same time. She’s running a tad late for her back-to-back media interactions for her upcoming film, ‘Dilwale’. Interviews have been lined up at her buddy and ‘Dilwale’ co-star Shah Rukh Khan’s production house office. She has been given a landmark – it is in the vicinity of a coffee place. Now her other buddy, filmmaker Karan Johar’s production house also has a coffee place in the vicinity. So, no prizes for guessing that the actress found herself near KJo’s place before veering towards SRK’s. “I can’t believe I got lost in Bandra. Me, being a Mumbai girl, how can I not find my way?” she says.

Wearing a maxi dress, her hair is tied up in an unkempt bun. Her sunglasses are perched on her nose which come off at one point during the conversation. Devoid of make-up, except for the mascara-laden lashes, the protein bar is holding her in good stead for the marathon media rounds.

She warns us that she is not the type who will volunteer information. “You will have to ask me what exactly you want to know,” she asserts. Straightforward and firm, she does not flinch from answers, but apologises every time the phone beeps for SMS alerts. Excerpts from the interaction with the actress…

Q. Over the years, what significant change you see in yourself?
A. I can say that I have become a Dilwali… Kajol Dilwali. That’s quite a tongue-twister. I have become more caring, large-hearted and giving; what I wasn’t earlier (laughs). But we all do change over the years, isn’t it?

Q. You have been actively involved with social causes especially the ‘Help A Child Reach 5’ campaign.
A. I have been propagating the importance of washing hands to reduce child mortality. It is all about doing something very simple – washing hands with soap, especially for mothers with infants. India has the highest child mortality rate. Awareness can go a long way in declining the alarming mortality rate.

Q. It took five years after your last release to get back on screen again.
A. Simply, because I have a life beyond this. My son (Yug) is five years old. So this is the first film I am doing after he was born. I don’t like to work with people I do not like or I am not comfortable with. I want to give my best, so what is the point of doing something that I am not happy about? I am financially stable, so why not take advantage of it?

Q. What prompted you to do ‘Dilwale’? Was it because of your buddy, Shah Rukh Khan?
A. I took it up as a challenge. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone for the film. People consider me an emotional actress, but here was my chance to be part of not only car chase sequences, but also of cars flying in the air. My son only likes the zooming car parts in the film while my daughter (Nysa, 12) thinks that being part of the ‘Golmaal’ franchise was the best thing that her father (Ajay Devgn) did in his career. So, she’s happy that I am doing a film on similar lines.

Q. The current lot of actresses are in the number game vying for the numero uno position. Does the number game affect you as well?
A. They have made a space for them and they are doing interesting work. It’s good for them. But all this does not matter to me. Remember, I have a life beyond this!

Q. You have worked with relative newcomers, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in ‘Dilwale’…
A. I would not go out of my way to mentor and tutor someone – the director has to do that. I am a director’s actress. I want him to tell me exactly what to do. While enacting a scene, if required I will provide my inputs. Varun was an AD during ‘My Name Is Khan’ (2010). I did not know him then… in the sense that I knew he was an AD… and then suddenly I see him in ‘Student of the Year’ (2012) as an actor. Kriti is a sweet, young girl. But why do you ask? Is there news floating about us? There’s nothing to it.

Q. How would you describe your decades-old association with Shah Rukh Khan?
A. Everyone talks about ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995), but we did ‘Baazigar’ (1993) before that. So it has been over 22 years. People talk about our on-screen chemistry, but he is like a friend you have had for many years. You can be yourself in front of that person. There are no egos, no formalities involved. I am just me. I can say whatever I want.

Q. Your hubby, Ajay Devgn, campaigned for the Bihar assembly polls last month. What is your take on the current political climate in the country?
A. All of this is not for me. I stay away from it and I don’t know what’s exactly going on. J (what she calls Ajay Devgn) is into all this. He shows interest in it, not me.

Q. How involved are you in his upcoming directorial venture, ‘Shivaay’?
A. I have been asking him to give me a small role in ‘Shivaay’. I told him that even a small, walk-on part will do for me, but he gave me a flat no.

Q. There has been buzz that you will be part of one of his productions.
A. Yes, that will happen around July next year. We have yet to ascertain a director. Only once J wraps up ‘Shivaay’, will this project roll.

Q. Do you harbour directorial aspirations?
A. No, not at all, at least not at this stage. I have left that for J and would rather act with someone telling me what to do on screen.

Q. What about the small screen?
A. It has to be something that is novel and will excite me. There is no point of being part of something just for the sake of it. But then as they say… never say never.

Shah Rukh and Salman 'Never Separated.' A Bigg Confession

SHAH RUKH AND SALMAN HAVE WORKED TOGETHER IN FILMS LIKE KARAN ARJUNKUCH KUCH HOTA HAI AND HUM TUMHAARE HAIN SANAM. “WE KNEW THERE WOULD BE NO ISSUE. OUR FAMILIES KNEW THAT NO ONE COULD BRING US TOGETHER. ONLY WE COULD DECIDE ABOUT OUR PATCH UP,” SAID SHAH RUKH KHAN

Superstars Shah Rukh and Salman Khan created history on Indian television as Shah Rukh came to promote his recently released film Dilwale on Bigg Boss 9, which is hosted by Salman.

Salman exhibited his usual nonchalance while a more subdued Shah Rukh matched his friend’s energy with his wit and impeccable sense of humour.

Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan form Bollywood’s Khan trio. Their professional rivalry has always made news. Taking a jibe at this, Shah Rukh said to Salman, “While we were busy fighting, Aamir Khan paced ahead of us and left us behind. We kept fighting among ourselves and he went ahead.”

Shah Rukh also said that Salman is a good host of Bigg Boss. “Bigg Boss has got a zabardast and permanent host in Salman, “said Shah Rukh.

When a fan asked them how much they missed each other during their fight, Shah Rukh said, “We knew there would be no issue. Our families knew that no one could bring us together. Only we could decide about our patch up.”

“Neither did I speak badly about Shah Rukh nor did he do so about me. We never separated,” added Salman.

Kajol also joined them later. Salman, Shah Rukh and Kajol have worked together in films like Karan Arjun and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Shah Rukh and Kajol also went inside the Bigg Boss house to spend time with the contestants.

Kareena raises voice for women power

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan says the issue of gender bias is something which has still not become a centre of discussion.

The 35-year-old actress will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Ki & Ka’, directed by R Balki. The film features Arjun Kapoor as progressive house-husband supporting his wife, enacted by Kareena, who is a career-oriented woman.

“It is a very different film because of the concept of gender bias. It’s an issue which nobody addresses. There is a stay-at-home husband, there is a woman who wants to work,” Kareena told PTI.

“Today anyways women are there in every field, they are leading the pack. They are definitely more independent than what they were 20 years ago,” she said. Kareena, who last worked in Salman Khan-starrer “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, said it was a challenge to make her character that of an ambitious young woman ¿ real and believable.

“It’s a very interesting role where I have tried to play a girl which will make the audience feel she is as normal as the viewer watching the film. When you play a character, your body type becomes like that. Whether you play a footballer, or boxer, your clothes and hair push you to do that. “But here, to play a normal girl who works at a marketing agency and to make it really believable that she is ambitious, is I think a lot more difficult,” she said. The film may deal with unconventional issues, but when the script was offered to Kareena there was no apprehension at all as she agreed to it without listening the second-half.

“I signed it the minute I heard. When I heard the first-half of the film and it was interval, I told Balki sir don’t tell me the second-half, I am on it,” she said. When asked if her actor-husband Saif Ali Khan has any similarities with the character of Arjun in the film, Kareena said, “Well, not really, because both of us are working in the same profession, so it makes it a lot more difficult. But I am sure Saif won’t mind relaxing a bit more at home.” ‘Ki & Ka’ releases on April 1.

Their chemistry is beyond palangtod.” Returning the favour, when SRK was asked to comment on Ranbir’s statement, he said, ”Ranbir and Deepika are amazing. It is too sweet of them to say that about my chemistry with Kajol. We don’t know whether it is palangtod, ghar tod aur khidki tod! I don’t know how is their chemistry. Whether they break palang or no, I don’t know.” Quite witty, we say.

Anurag Kashyap: 'Bombay Velvet' failure a burden on me

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap says his film Bombay Velvet was probably “the biggest loss making movie” in the history of cinema and the burden of the failure of his dream movie will always haunt him.

The big-budget period film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, opened to mixed to negative reception and was also panned for its faltered storytelling. Kashyap, 43, says he is glad that a big studio decided to back his vision but the feeling that he could not recover the cost of the making of the film weighs him down.

“People have gone to fund my dream, which was unreasonable to begin with. Just because I have a dream to do something for 10 years does not mean that somebody is obliged to do it. They buy into your idea, they buy into your dream. It was like a Rs 90 crore art film. For me the burden of that money lost is going to be there for a long time,” Kashyap said in an interview on the sidelines of NFDC Film Bazaar.

The 43-year-old Gangs of Wasseypur filmmaker says for him money is the biggest nightmare and after the debacle of Bombay Velvet he has learnt his lesson and will not venture into making such a big-budget movie ever again.

“Money is the biggest nightmare. So, I say that the more you minimise the cost of the film, it works. I just did an expensive film which probably is the biggest loss making movie in the history of cinema. The nightmare that I go through no one can understand. So, that is something I don’t want to do ever again. It teaches you a lesson.

“I will make films with studios. But not massive budget ones as I don’t want anyone to lose so much money. I’d rather make a very controlled budget film for a studio.”

When asked if it is the safest thing to be the writer, director and producer of a film, he says, “Yes absolutely.,I like to control my film. I don’t want anyone else to do it.” Kahsyap revealed he has just finished shooting his next film but was evasive about details.

“I just finished shooting my next film and have also begun writing another. I have decided I will not talk about my films. People will get to know when it releases.

Further, Rochelle and Mandana discuss about the two new wildcards entrants Gizele and Nora and are seen accessing their personality traits. While both find Nora to be very warm and friendly, they express their dislike for Gizele.

Dynamic duo Pulkit Samrat & Yami Gautam turn up the heat on the sets of 'Sanam Re'

Divya Khosla Kumar’s second directorial venture ‘Sanam Re’ is all set to release on the 12th of February and the entire crew is leaving no stone unturned in making this romantic film a grand success.

However, the word on the block is that the lead pair of the film Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam had exceptional terms when it came to the steamy – kissing scenes. According to insiders the duo agreed to indulge in the love making scenes only with one another as they have a certain comfort level which lead to turning up the heat on the sets of the film.

A certain someone who knows all the tinsel town gossip revealed that Pulkit firmly disagreed to do a kissing scene with co-actor Urvashi Rautela and Yami too had palpably refused a kissing sequence with Ayushmann Khurrana for a certain music video. Well we hope that their off screen chemistry looks as good on screen too.

Mourinho has a pop at his strikers and thanks 'my friend Sir Alex'

Under-pressure Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has “thanked” Sir Alex Ferguson for his support and taken a swipe at his strikers.

The former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson on Monday said Roman Abramovich would be “foolish” to sack the Portuguese coach and Mourinho has revealed his appreciation and claimed: “Sir Alex is my friend”.

“I didn’t read. I didn’t watch. Some people told me (about it),” Mourinho said.

“And it’s the difference between the friends and the fake friends. Sir Alex is my friend. Obviously the words are very nice. He’s not the kind of person who says just because he likes somebody.

“He’s always honest in his analysis and I thank him.”

Chelsea face Porto at home in the Champions League on Wednesday night and with Dynamo Kiev expected to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv, they would finish top with a win, second with a draw and third with a defeat, plunging into the second-tier Europa League.

Mourinho has derided the competition previously – won by his predecessor Rafael Benitez when interim boss in 2013 – but the winners now are awarded a place in the Champions League.

“I know what you mean,” said Mourinho, who appeared to concede defeat in his side’s bid for the Premier League top four, and with it a place in the Champions League, after the loss to Bournemouth.

“I know that in this moment it looks to win the Europa League is an easier way to be in the Champions League next season, than to finish in the top four.

“But there is another possibility, which is to win the Champions League.

“It’s harder than winning the Europa League, obviously, yes. But this is a competition where we are.”

Mourinho pointed to Chelsea’s match statistics, saying “records” had been broken in three consecutive matches, but then pointed to the lack of goals.

It was a comment which could be interpreted as criticism of his strike force.

Diego Costa has seven goals since January and just four this season and has been a substitute for the last two games, with Eden Hazard deployed as a “false nine”.

Loic Remy is a peripheral figure and Radamel Falcao is injured, having struggled to make an impact on loan.

“We run and we run and we work more than ever and at certain intensity that we never did before,” Mourinho added.

“Our levels of ball possession are much higher than before too. Our chances are higher than ever.

“Our number of goals is lower than ever. You have the numbers, you read the numbers.”

No need to starve to stay in shape, says Claudia Ciesla

Actress Claudia Ciesla, who is seen flaunting a bikini body in her next film “Kya Kool Hain Hum 3”, says she never starves to stay fit.

“I have always believed in being healthy and to be fit, you don’t need to starve. My fitness mantra is start eating healthy, then you will stop craving about unhealthy food,” Claudia told IANS.

“Introduce nuts and fruits to your diet instead of samosas and start exercising. Starving should not be allowed. That’s the worst thing to do,” she added.

The professional and fit actress is also a certified nutritionist and says that she wanted to educate herself and hence applied for certification.

“When it comes to being fit, I wanted to educate myself more on this so I decided to take up a course. So, yes now I am a certified nutritionist,” she said.

Filmmakers haven't tapped my full potential yet, feels Tabu

She has given path-breaking performances in several critically acclaimed movies, but actress Tabu feels Bollywood filmmakers have not utilised her full potential yet.

When asked if while looking back she feels filmmakers have not tapped her full potential, Tabu told PTI, “Absolutely. I don’t think I’ve tapped my full potential, forget the filmmakers…I think a very minuscule part of my potential has been tapped.”

The 44-year-old actress, who has won two National Awards for her roles in “Maachis” (1996) and the 2001 drama “Chandni “Bar”, says she feels like this because she has a different understating of herself today.

“I feel that may be it’s not true. May be I feel that now when you have a different understanding of your own potential, of yourself. I feel I could’ve done things in so many different ways,” she said.

“I’ve got to do a lot. But I feel there is a lot which can be done also. Of course everybody thinks and feels like that,” she said. Following her award-winning stint in “Chandni Bar”, Tabu then acted in “Maqbool” made by filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj’s, who she believes “allowed” her to try different things as an actress. “He has allowed me to do it. I got a chance to do it with him. I didn’t even know what was in store for me in ‘Maqbool’ or the kind of film he was going to make. I was just too excited to play this character which was unusual for a Hindi cinema heroine to do at that time,” she said.

The “Cheeni Kum” actress, who worked with Bhardwaj again in “Haider”, says an actor looks at himself the way a director visualises him.

“Vishal sees in me something which not everybody else is able to. Just to get that from a director that ‘Oh my God he is visualising me like this’, it makes your work different. You look at yourself the way a director looks at you. That gives you the basis for your performance,” she said.

Tabu will be seen next in Abhishek Kapoor’s “Fitoor”, releasing on February 12. The film, which stars Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur, is based on Charles Dickens’ novel “Great Expectations”.

The actress has been part of several book adaptations, from “Maqbool” and “Haider” – based on William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” and “Hamlet” respectively, to “Life of Pi” (based on a book of the same name by Yann Martel) and “The Namesake”, based on a novel by Jhumpa Lahiri.

“I don’t know why all book adaptations come to me. I must become the poster girl for adaptations of books,” she said.

When asked if it is easier to play a character based on a book, Tabu says, “I didn’t know anything about the characters till the scripts came to me. I haven’t read those books. “Because I have not made my own thing about them, I go by the script and whatever brief my director or writer gives me about the character,” she added.

Why Kangana is challenging herself?

The `Queen` of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut was announced as the brand ambassador of Reebok India here on Tuesday. The actress also launched the new campaign of the brand titled `Be More Human`.

The new campaign featuring Kangana has been released on the occasion of `International Women’s Day`.

It aims to inspire women to become better versions of themselves, not just physically but also mentally and socially. It is a tribute to the modern day Indian woman, telling her that she is fit to rise above stereotypes and carve out her own destiny.

In the new campaign, Kangana will be seen challenging herself with various fitness activities including functional training, dance, yoga, kick-boxing and others, thereby communicating the overarching brand message – ‘how fit you are defines how far you go’.

`I have always been a Reebok fan. Their products and campaigns have always inspired me. When they came to me, it was a natural fit and I was extremely excited to be associated with them. I feel that anything in life can be accomplished if we believe in ourselves. Today’s women should stay fit in all aspects, be it physically, socially or mentally,` said the actress.

`This ideology echoes with Reebok’s overall positioning and I am delighted to be the face of the brand, helping them push this message further…,` she added.

Whoa! Priyanka is Sexiest Asian Women

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who has achieved global visibility in the recent past, has topped a list of 50 ‘Sexiest Asian Women on the Planet’ compiled by a British magazine. This is the third time in the past four years that the “Quantico” actress has topped the list.

Priyanka emerged as the top name after people voted from across the globe for the 2015 edition of the popular annual poll conducted by the Britain-based Eastern Eye newspaper.

The ‘desi girl’ of tinsel town is happy.

“Now that’s a title I’m happy to hold on to. I’m bringing sexy back! A big thank you to everyone who’s voted for me. Thank you also to Eastern Eye for making me feel ‘sexy’; well, at least for another year. A piece of advice to the ladies – it’s all in the mind. Remember, sexy is as sexy does,” Priyanka said in a statement.

Eastern Eye’s entertainment editor Asjad Nazir, who founded the list and puts it together annually, believes Priyanka has become the global face of India.

“Priyanka Chopra is doing India proud on the global stage and winning loads of admirers. This was illustrated by the largest-ever number of votes by non-Asians that she received from all over the world. She is clearly building bridges internationally through her art and will continue to do so in the coming years,” Nazir said.

Popular television actress Sanaya Irani rose one place from last year to come second and fellow small screen star Drashti Dhami took third spot.

Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone was on number four and Katrina Kaif completed the top five.

Others in the top 10 are Nia Sharma, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Gauahar Khan, Sonam Kapoor and the highest placed Pakistani, Mahira Khan.

All In The Book: Who is Salman’s mystery love? www.ilovenewz.com

All In The Book: Who is Salman's mystery love?

Who is Salman Khan? The boy from Indore who loved the dirt track or the Mumbai superstar who’s as famous for his roles as his romantic life? New book looks to actor’s family and friends for answers.

In an excerpt from Being Salman, by Jasim Khan, Salman’s aunt Sufiya Khan speaks of his fondness for good food.

Salman has always liked good food. He would often say, ‘Aunt, make kheer for me, make kebabs for me.’ Earlier the house had a huge compound with many trees. He loved to pluck the fruits and eat them. He would never let a bottle of sherbet last for long in the house.

A whole bunch of children used to gather at our home. They would eat and play together. The children would eat fruits, climb the trees and ride bicycles in the compound.

Sufiya Khan swears by the goodness of Salman’s heart. ‘He has the unblemished heart of a child. Salman is very simple and gullible. He loves children. He cannot see tears in the eyes of any child. Every child is a darling to him.’

Salman’s uncle Naeem Khan says that Salman was different from the other kids – naughty and stubborn. He never listened to anyone once he had decided to do something. He had developed an early interest in stunts. At the age of twelve, he could jump up to three metres on wheels. Sometimes he took his bicycle to stony paths, and he could balance it even on stairs.

Cousin Mubin Khan was his playmate. Mubin says he cannot count the number of times they had fallen while attempting the stunts. It would often break the bicycle altogether. But the bruises could never deter them from taking risks.

Mubin also reminisces about Salman’s love for nature. He loved to walk in the woods. Nights spent outdoors were special to him. Salman was the only one in the group who loved to drive his jeep on dirt roads.

Life in the wild has always enchanted Salman. He loves remote villages, relishing bullock-cart rides and milking cows and buffaloes; he would then gulp down the raw milk.

Little Salman takes a bath

Matin Khan, another cousin of Salman’s, recalls an adventure: Our childhood was full of fun. We roamed the villages and fields in the jeep and performed all sorts of bike stunts on those dirt roads. We would climb trees and eat fresh fruits. Once Salman broke his hand while performing a stunt; we were in a neighbouring place called Bardari-we have our land there-we were racing and his bike slipped.

Bardari village is situated a few kilometres away from Salman’s ancestral house. This was the place where all his cousins and friends would meet to play. Mubin Khan remembers:

We would go to faraway places on jeeps and motorcycles. We often chose mud roads. Sometimes the vehicles would be stuck in the mud. We enjoyed pulling them out of it. The whole gang would jump into the well and swim together. This was the kind of family enjoyment we had.

All of Salman’s relatives recount that Salman liked playing more than academics. This was one of the reasons why Salim Khan sent him away to Scindia Boarding School in Gwalior. Counted among the top four schools in the country, it was originally built for the education of royal pupils.

But even such a high-profile campus could not motivate Salman’s heart and soul towards studies. At last, Salim Khan had to take him back to Mumbai, to study at St. Stanislaus Convent High School.

He usually avoids questions on his personal life. From Sangeeta Bijlani to Katrina Kaif, there have been women galore in his life. But few are aware of his first love. Here is what Salman Khan’s mother Salma Khan said in an interview to Filmfare magazine in 1990: ‘My children never hide anything from me. I am more like a friend to them. They share every secret with me. Salman has had girlfriends since the age of thirteen. I have always encouraged him to bring them home.’

Salman’s Bollywood affairs have been much talked about.

However, one of his love stories has remained hidden from the limelight. That too a love which was on the verge of culminating in marriage. But destiny had something else in store.

Many of Salman’s friends confess it was a time of great emotional upheaval for him. Many other beauties passed through his life after that. But none of them could turn into a life partner. Salman has been questioned umpteen times about his marriage. His standard answer has been: ‘My marriage was averted many times. Perhaps God was kind to me. You can see from the married ones what I mean.’

He has admitted on India TV’s show Aap Ki Adalat that he has had five girlfriends in his life. He was rather slyly asked by the interviewer, ‘People associate you with two things: boozing and womanizing, which of these are true?’ ‘Both are true,’ answered Salman. ‘I have a very poor ratio in terms of girlfriends. I have had five girlfriends in forty-eight years. It is a very poor ratio.’

Four out of these five girlfriends are well known to the world. However, the fifth has always remained a mystery. Salman has always remained tight-lipped about this episode of his life.

This story dates back to the time when Salman was a student of St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. He was in his second year, but was mainly focused on his Bollywood career. As the grapevine has it, one Shaheen Jaffrey entered his life during this time.

Salman (left, standing) with his brothers Arbaz (right, standing) and Sohail (middle), sister Alvira, and two cousins

Shaheen is the maternal granddaughter of the famous star Ashok Kumar. His daughter Bharti was remarried to actor Saeed Jaffrey’s brother, Hamid Jaffrey. The couple had two daughters, Jeniv Advani and Shaheen Jaffrey. So Shaheen is also Saeed Jaffrey’s niece.

Shaheen has been a model by profession. She has strong connections with Bollywood. Her niece Kiara Advani has corroborated that Shaheen indeed was the first one to steal Salman’s heart. Kiara, who entered Bollywood with the movie Fugly in 2014, said this during an interview to the Times of India:

Salman used to date Shaheen long ago. It is very much possible that she was his first love. My mother knows Salman for a long time as he has grown up in Bandra. He would always say to my mother that one day I will be a big star. Shaheen and Salman had been together for a long time. They used to go cycling together. My mother introduced Salman to Shaheen. She had been to Salman’s home on a number of occasions.

According to some accounts, Salman was nineteen when he was smitten by Shaheen. Salman’s red sports car was frequently spotted at the gate of St. Xavier’s College where Shaheen studied.

It is said that the two were just about to tie the knot. Then Sangeeta Bijlani, the famous model, entered the plot. People say Sangeeta was a regular visitor to the same health club at Hotel Sea Rock where Salman and Shaheen used to go. Sangeeta was smarting from the pain of her break-up with her boyfriend Binju Ali at that time.

The real story of Salman’s and Shaheen’s parting of ways is still a mystery. However, we do know that Shaheen Jaffrey joined Cathay Pacific airlines after Salman bid adieu to her.

With actress Somy Ali

Sangeeta Bijlani saw a chaste and sensitive human being in Salman Khan and soon they became close. It was a casual relationship in the beginning, but soon flames of passion ignited between the two. Sangeeta was older than Salman, and Salman was taken by her emotional maturity. He was at a crossroads and had no idea where to go.

According to gossip at that time, the Salman-Sangeeta affair lasted for six years, ending in 1994. Sangeeta admitted that she had parted ways with Salman. She had become close to Salman’s family. She explicitly said, ‘I regret the break-up because I had to distance myself from Salman’s family. They treated me as one of their own. I cannot repay the affection I got from that family. The moments spent in that home, on its balcony, are unforgettable. How can I ever forget those moments?’ The media was rife with speculation about Salman’s and Sangeeta’s marriage. Stardust even announced the couple was going to tie the knot on 27 May 1994. Sangeeta Bijlani was prompt in her denial. ‘I know you will not trust me. But wait for the date. You will find me unmarried the next day,’ she said. Instead, she went a step ahead and parted ways with Salman.

Salman’s aunt Sufiya delves more on this break-up without mentioning names:

Salman’s cousin Mubin Khan posing in front of the jeep that Salman used to learn driving on

All the relatives were awaiting the marriage. Even the month of marriage had been decided. I do not want to take names, though I can confirm that she was not Somy Ali. We were just waiting for the announcement of the date of marriage. It was almost final. Then suddenly the circumstances changed.

It was left for others to conclude that the one who wrecked the relationship was Somy Ali. Somy Ali was just sixteen when she entered Bollywood in 1992. She had come with her mother from Pakistan to become an actress in Mumbai. Dharmendra signed her for Jaan opposite Bobby Deol.

…The moment she quit Dharmendra’s movie, she became Salman’s heroine in the movie Buland. Friendship led to love, and undoubtedly this was what led to Salman’s break-up with Sangeeta Bijlani. Somy Ali co ‘nfessed to the New York Times in 2012: ‘I was so ambitious that I forgot Salman was with somebody else. This was morally wrong.’

Sangeeta Bijlani and Somy Ali remained in Salman Khan’s life for the longest period of time. Both enjoyed a close relationship with his family. This author tried to inquire of Salim Khan why Salman’s marriage had to be cancelled at the last minute. ‘Every romantic relationship starts with the promise of marriage. Sometimes, it comes out later that the two are not cut out for each other. They have different ambitions. The guy may want a woman who can manage the home, but the girl may have different ambitions,’ said Salim Khan. This author asked Salman’s aunt Sufiya if she had ever prodded him for marriage. This is what she had to say: ‘My husband’s brother was a bachelor for life. He stayed with us. `At least one person in the family must be like the elder uncle,` he would say.’

Bobby Deol: Sunny and I never interfere in each other's work

Bobby Deol says he and his actor-brother Sunny do not interfere in each other’s work. The 48-year-old actor said he did not give any suggestions to Sunny, who is ready with his upcoming action-drama ‘Ghayal: Once Again’.

“I didn’t contribute anything to the film. We don’t like to interfere in each other’s work. I wouldn’t want him to get bogged down by what someone else is saying. It’s his vision and creative side,” Bobby told PTI. “I did ‘Dillagi’ with him which was one of my best performances. I have a lot of faith in him and I have a feeling that it’s going to be a great film which people are going to enjoy,” he said.

‘Ghayal Once Again’ has been directed, written and produced by Sunny. It is the sequel to the 1990 super-hit action drama ‘Ghayal’ and will mark the comeback of the 58-year-old actor, who starred in the iconic role of amateur boxer Ajay Mehra.

Bobby says it is difficult to don the hat of a director, producer and actor in one film, but his brother has pulled it off with ease. “I am really excited for the film. He has really worked hard. He has directed the film and has put all his effort into it. It’s been tough producing, directing and acting in a film, but my brother is as tough in real life as he is on screen,” he said.

Bobby was last seen in the 2013 comedy ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’, which also starred Sunny and his father veteran actor Dharmendra. The actor says he is currently looking for scripts and has no plans of following into the footsteps of his brother and turning a director.

“I am looking for good scripts, working on things, so let’s see. But I can’t write, and directing is a big job. It’s something which people have a knack for,” he said.

“There are good writers who can’t be good directors, and there were lots of actors who tried directing but they couldn’t. So it’s something which people have in them. You can’t figure out how it happens,” he said.

Bobby will be seen in the upcoming season six of Celebrity Cricket League playing for actor Sohail Khan’s team Mumbai Heroes.

When Kriti Sanon relived her college days

Actress Kriti Sanon recently visited a college in Mumbai along with co-star Varun Dhawan to promote her upcoming film.

The actress rather had a fun filled time with the young audience present at the college.

The students of the college cheered for the actors and also requested them to perform to the tunes of their recently released songs.

Kriti immediately obliged to the request and treated the young crowd by gracing the stage with a dance performance.

She danced to the tunes of ‘Manma Emotion’ and the yesteryear chartbuster ‘Piya tu’.

Aditi Rao Hydari: I still feel like an outsider in Bollywood

In her six-year Bollywood career, Aditi Rao Hydari has tasted both success and failures, but the actress says she still feels like an outsider as she does not have a family clout in the industry.

Aditi first appeared as Rama Bua in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Delhi-6’, but it was Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ which brought the actress to prominence.

“I do feel like an outsider in little little ways. For example, on social media, sometimes I feel I don’t have the support system which somebody else has. When I put something on social media, some people will support me and be genuinely sweet about it, but for somebody else, they have all their cousins, friends, uncles and aunts,” Aditi told PTI.

“All they have to do is send them a text saying ‘please do it’ and they’ll do it. It’s natural, which is why I never resent it. I also know it is not important in the larger scheme of things but it becomes important because in today’s digital world we are so image driven…,” she said.

The 29-year-old ‘London Paris New York’ star says she neither has a big actor nor a production house back-up, which makes her struggle to be a part of films that she wants to work in.

“I don’t have a big production house, big director or a big actor backing me. I am taking things step by step. I came from outside, I knew nobody, I don’t know how to play the game, I can’t think of schemes or ways to put myself ahead of others or back stab somebody. Everyday is a struggle. Till today I struggle to do the films I want to do,” she said.

Even though she has worked with directors like Mehra, Sudhir Mishra, Imtiaz Ali (‘Rockstar’), Subhash Kapoor (‘Guddu Rangeela’), Aditi says she does not have the liberty to collaborate with a filmmaker of her choice.

“I don’t think I have the power to say today I want to work with so and so. But I do have the power to choose from what is in front of me, and the power to hope. I am a very positive person and I know if something great is meant for me, it will come to me,” she said.

Aditi will be next seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Wazir’, which also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.

The “Murder 3” actress bagged the drama-thriller by auditioning for the role, but she has no qualms about it.

“I have no ego about auditions. As an actor I think it is right to do an audition, it is fine. I am not talking about going to an audition with 85 people already standing in the line. I don’t believe in that kind of process, because that is ridiculous. But you have to feel the character and the person has to see you that way,” she said.

In ‘Wazir’, Aditi will be seen playing a young mother. The actress is happy she is doing different roles as it is easy getting stereotyped in Bollywood.

“Stereotyping is a bit of an issue. The problem is people give terms to things – niche film, bubbly girl, intense actress, big star movie… I wish we don’t trap ourselves in these terms, because we limit ourselves badly,” she added.

Kangana floors Vishal Bhardwaj, see how?

Kangana Ranaut is busy shooting for her upcoming film ‘Rangoon’ in the city. The actress who has impressed the industry and audience with her dedication and hard work has managed to floor Director Vishal Bhardwaj. While shooting, Kangana would not only deliver a brilliant performance in a single take but the shots were often approved by the director at once. This led the crew of the film, to call her a “one take actor”, a tag that is not common on the sets of a Vishal Bhardwaj film.

A source from the sets revealed, “Kangana excels at her work and for Rangoon, she mostly has been giving excellent shots in just one take, so everyone has started calling her ‘one take actor’. She is also very professional in her acts. For instance, there’s a particular scene, which required her to feed a Japanese prisoner. Since it was a prolonged shot, she ensured that she washed her hands every time and also insisted the Japanese translator on the sets conveyed it to the actor. Kangana is gelling very well with the crew too.”

Busted: Aditya and Shraddha caught cosying up again

Cute, cosy and cuddled up — actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Shradha Kapoor’s characters seem much in love in the first look of Karan Johar’s production “OK Jaanu”.

Karan shared the first look of the actors on Twitter. Shraddha is seen embracing Aditya in the snapshot from the film, to be directed by Shaad Ali.

“Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor, Mani Ratnam, Gulzar, A.R. Rahman, directed by Shaad Ali. And it’s ‘OK Jaanu’,” Karan, who will produce the film under his banner Dharma Productions, captioned the image.

A remake of the Tamil film “OK Kanmani”, “OK Jaanu” marks the return of Aditya and Shraddha together on the silver screen after the 2013 film “Aashiqui 2”.
