What is meant by empowerment of women in Andhra Pradesh? What is the qualification of MRS BRAHMANI & MRS DEEPA to be on the dias? Is democracy deteriorated to despotism in AP? Is this a social function? Is the state and country the political property of Chandra Babu Naidu and Venkaiah Naidu?  There are better women enterpreneurs like the Ambani’s who are more hardworking than these women in developing their enterpreneurship and more inspiring. His highness Dalailama’s speech was forced to be concluded FOR WANT OF TIME(?) In what way can the speech of Venkaiah Naidu inspiring? Are anecdotes from his personal life more attractive than the true spiritualism of the Dalailama? No wonder AP is still groping in darkness under this leadership.

Making bonds and breaking bonds, unholy bonds, Deceptive bonding, unique reactions and unique products all are possible in Kashmir

BY FIDA HUSSAIN

Chemistry has always been a fascinating subject. Its application in almost every sphere of day to day life makes it more interesting.  It helps us to bring out the composition of any material to its atomic and sub atomic level. But the most amazing fact about Chemistry which has gone out of sight is its great relevance with the Kashmir situation. Making bonds and breaking bonds, unholy bonds, Deceptive bonding, unique reactions and unique products all are possible in Kashmir.

The most important and the strongest bond in the history of Kashmir is the famous KASHMIR       CONFLICT bond. This bond is unbreakable. It is the most loyal bond. The chemistry between Kashmir and Conflict is a romantic one. No external energy has been able to break this bond till date as no serious efforts have been done in this regard. The conflict has formed an eternal bond with Kashmir. The reaction between Kashmir and Conflict has been the most successful reactions that existed till date between two entities. It is a permanent bond. A unique feature of this reaction is that one of the molecules is always a miserable victim and the other molecule serves the interests of many other political molecules. Some Non serious and deceptive Political Scientists want to break this bond with autonomy, some with Plebiscite, some with dialogue, but this bond is getting stronger by their deceptive and empty voices. The products of this unique reaction are enormous, Bloodshed, dead bodies, death and destruction to name a few. The KASHMIR            CONFLICT bond was formed many decades ago and there were many catalysts to facilitate this reaction to form a strongest bond ever. This bond is the result of reaction between Broken Promises, repeated Political Deceptions, and Ruthless policies against the people of Kashmir. The stability of this bond is facilitated by the continuous bloodshed, deceptions and empty promises. This bond is still intact as it was at the time of its formation and is budding continuously. The bond between pain and the Kashmiri people is as old and strong as that of KASHMIR      CONFLICT bond and the relationship between the pain and Kashmiri people will continue till the Kashmir is bonded with conflict.

There is one more bond, KASHMIR—–PROSPERITY bond. This bond has been the weakest bond in the history of Kashmir and the most unsuccessful reaction ever. This bond can be broken easily anywhere, anytime by anyone. No special efforts or special energy is required to annihilate this bond.  This bond is always temporary. There is no stability in this bond. Unstable products are highly explosive, they explode very easily. As this bond is formed it breaks down immediately and explodes aggressively. No one act as a catalyst to make this reaction successful and the bond stronger. But almost everyone acts as a catalyst to accelerate its destruction, so it is highly unstable unable to withstand the force of various factors. Actually the stability of this bond is itself dependent on the stronger KASHMIR        CONFLICT bond. The Weakness of KASHMIR—–PROSPERITY bond is inversely proportional to strength of Kashmir conflict bond. Till the serious efforts are not done to break the KASHMIR        CONFLICT bond permanently, this bond will continue to remain temporary.

There is also the phenomenon of creating unusual and unholy bonds in Kashmir. There have been a number of unholy reactions and making of unholy bonds in the history of Kashmir.  The most prominent and recent one being the PDP          BJP bond popularly known as PDP-BJP Alliance”. PDP has a unique feature of acting as a dual entity. It has the tendency to make and break bonds easily to suit its stability. PDP first formed a bond with the Kashmiri people before elections famously PDP—-KASHMIRI bond using the Deceptive healing touch policy. This bond was formed by exploiting the emotions of Kashmiri people. The PDP promised to block the passage of BJP in Kashmir. But to make a place for itself, PDP’S dual nature came to its rescue. Here the famous octet rule of chemistry can be seen as a driving force for PDP leadership. To complete its octet (To get the required seats to form the government), PDP kept all its principles and ethics in hibernation and formed a bond with most “un reactive” entity, the BJP with a tight hug between two nuclei.

The PDP -BJP bond was blossomed amid all oppositions. Here power was shared; hopes and sentiments of people were exploited. To Keep the PDP-KASHMIRI bond intact and to justify its bonding with BJP, the PDP introduced the concept of “Agenda of Alliance”. But Agenda of Alliance could not withstand the test of time. The PDP——KASHMIRI bond was ruthlessly shattered.  The hopes and dreams of Kashmiris were brutally dashed to ground. This unholy and deceptive alliance between PDP and BJP itself proved to be the biggest catalyst for stronger KASHMIR           CONFLICT bond which took the conflict part to the new heights (rather than Kashmir) and its products being Continuous unrests, Bloodshed, death, destruction and ruthless breakdown of Kashmiris.

The reaction to the PDP       BJP bonding came from the National Conference (NC) as it could not react with anyone to find its place in power spheres. Even it had offered to share its electrons (seats) with PDP, but PDP found more stability with BJP. Then National Conference tried to react with Common People of Kashmir to form another product i.e. the NC-PEOPLE bond just to adjust its own permanence and to preserve its credibility and relevance. But soon the NC which otherwise was crying its heart out against the Kashmir instability due to PDP-BJP Alliance was inspired by the Dual nature of PDP. Thus spoke its main ingredient Omar Abdullah at the New York University. In his speech at the convention titled “India and Pakistan: A Sub continental Affair”, Omar spoke on the UN Resolutions on Kashmir, launched an all out strong electromagnetic offensive again Pakistan and shifted all the unstable factors responsible for its failure to Pakistan and defended India by saying that “To this day I fail to understand why we in India feel so apologetic that this UN referendum never took place. The onus wasn’t on India to create the conditions for that referendum”. He said Pakistan needs to move out of its part of J&K before India does the same. His speech was driving force to complete its own octet from New Delhi. In his speech he tried to give rise to new and obviously unholy NC        GOI (Government of India) bondBut the heat energy of his speech weakened NC——-PEOPLE bond which it had formed by shoddy sentiment sharing.

The concept of “Deceptive Bonding” is prevalent in Kashmir where in bonding is created with the Kashmiri people and then is broken mercilessly when the interests of particular (mostly powerful) element is accomplished. Then the Kashmiris are left deceived and cheated. The goodwill nature of Kashmiri people to get bonded with anyone through the energy of love and compassion has always been over abused. Deceptive Bonding is mostly the part of Political Chemistry.

There is also one more bonding that is the KASHMIR-RESISTANCE bond. Kashmir resists everything audaciously and fearlessly. It resists brutal suppression and deceptive elements; it breaks but rises again and again. Kashmir offers huge sacrifices to resist and shine again. This bond is formed by the unity of Kashmiri People in times of suppression. This bond is created by common sentiments and emotions in the hearts of Kashmiri People. This bond is formed by sharing of pains among each other. This one is a sacred bond.

Here in Kashmir everything from Natural Resources to Hydro electric projects is shared and exploited. But the pain, emotions and sentiments of Kashmiri people are only exploited. There is no one is share these pains with open heart as there are molecules in chemistry to share electrons.

Now every Kashmiri has understood the Concepts of bonds and Chemical reactions as the whole situation in Kashmir revolves around these concepts. The conflict part is getting stronger and the Kashmir gets torn. The KASHMIR-CONFLICT bonding relationship continues to tatter and torment the Kashmir viciously.

Reservation doesn’t beget chances, it only gives birth to mediocrity. unsuni.blogspot.in

Reservation doesn’t beget chances, it only mostly gives birth to mediocrity.

Once upon a time, there was this bright, young student who loved to study the human body. She was a keen observer of the sciences and developed a deep understanding of anatomy and medicine.

When she passed out from her college, naturally, she got fine grades in her subject, which she so loved. She was all set to be a student of medicine and surgery. Everyone knew that she would make a fine surgeon one day and that she would go on to save many lives.

When the time came for her to get into a fine medical institute, she got a shock. Her fine scores were not enough for her to get into the institute of her choice.

And the reason given to her was that the seats were filled. But there were a few seats left. Alas, these were reserved for certain ‘groups’. The bright girl begged and pleaded but to no avail. What really broke the camel’s back was when another student, someone who didn’t even have half her grades, she got a warm welcome…and a seat in the fine college of medicine.

Our bright student was completely heart broken and as her luck would have it, she couldn’t get a seat in any medical college. So she had to settle for graduating in science only. Her dreams were dashed and crushed beyond repair. Her parents did not have the capacity to buy her a seat. After all, her marks would be her currency, her father had remarked one day.

Anyway, time went on and the girl went on to pursue some other insipid profession, nothing much to do with medicine but something which would make her some fine money some day. She was at best, above average at it, her medical genius, now relegated to somewhere in the deep corner of her mind.

This other student, who had managed to get the coveted seat, she was struggling…flailing like a bird trapped inside a hunter’s net. She hadn’t mentally prepared for the difficult faculty of medicine and on the first day that she was introduced to a cadaver, she collapsed in fright. It had taken her a few days to get over it, which she did, but she could never ever regain her innocence again. Ultimately, she became a doctor, albeit after a great struggle.

Four years later, both the women graduated from their respective colleges.

One, an average marketing executive, and the other one, a seriously incompetent doctor who would now do no better than open a clinic in a small house and treat people for nothing more serious than severe cough and colds. No saving lives and making path-breaking medicinal discoveries for this one…And this is how most of the stories are ending in India, today.

—————–

Whether we like it or now, this is the real state of India. Talent is not encouraged and remains largely under credited and unrecognized. At the same time, certain groups do not want to work hard because they know that they will get employment or college seats on the basis of their background. So it is a lose lose situation for the nation, ultimately.

As a growing nation, we need to understand that if we are to shake this branding of a ‘third world country’ we need to drop this evil of caste and religion divide. We need to develop and nurture talent based on their skill and talent and not just because they belong to a certain ‘group.’

Even now, as I write this, there are people who are fighting for this reservation and that. Fight for your right, of course, but fight for the right things.

The day that India does away with the reservation system, Indians will work that much harder to prove themselves and then, by default, there is no stopping a nation which consists of hardworking and talented people.

When there is a fear for any religion , it provokes the hatred and end the humanity in an individual.

There is a pseudo phenomena going all over the world and this has lead to the rise in hatred in the clogged minds of people. They are blaming a certain religion and now fear the practice of that particular one.

How important is a name to a terrorist group’s identity? When the militant organization Nusra Front announced recently that it was calling itself something else, analysts had good reason to be skeptical about whether the new label really did signal a genuine break from its parent organization al Qaeda. In fact, it probably doesn’t matter. Even if symbolic, the mere rebranding of Nusra could be enough to prolong Syria’s civil war.

AUTHENTICITY OF  JAHANGIRNAMA:

This article written to prove the authenticity of Tuzuki i Jahangiri.

Jahangir wrote his autobiography himself.

Jahangir

Jahangir

Once he wrote the first 12 years ,he made several copies. He gave the first copy to Shahjahan.Few copies of it had been traced after 300 years,in which Tuzuki is the authentic version. The copies that has been traced were translated.

tuz

The Tuzuki I Jahangiri is the authentic version of Jahangirnama  proved by the historians.Tuzuki was first translated from the edition of Sayaid ahmad by Roger and then edited and released by Henry Bevridge. In the preface it was given that sayaid work was from a defective manuscript  but then again edited and corrected by Beveridge using two excellent manuscript. One manuscript was from theBritish museum translated by Willim Irisine which was a very excellent and good version. The other one was in India and this is also a excellent version.2 good version had be referred by Henry and then only he had released Tuzuki i Jahangir.(See preface ofThe Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri;It shows the hard work he had done to make Tuzuki Authentic. The different manuscript are not entirely different. There are only minute changes which Beveridge could edit using the 2 excellent manscript. These changes Could have occurred at any level.First Jahangir had his several copies written by different  people, these minute changes could have occurred at that level also.Second is the condition of the book whjch has been traced 300 years later, which can also affect the translation(For instance Salima begums age is given as 62 at the time of death.that was wrong her age was 72.If one reads the page the account of Salima in that page was entirely correct except for the age.The age could have been hazy for the translator depending on the condition of the book, same as in the firman of Mariyam in 1572 where the second half of the name is not clear and hazy,so Historians could not locate whose firmann it was). Also Sayaid is described to be disinterested in his labour,so these small changes could have occurred even at that level.Any way Henry has really taken a lot of effort and had gone through all the manuscript and made Tuzuki an authentic version. It is definetly not a patch work of the different manuscript.Emperor Jahangir had written his autobiography whole heartedly with his own hands. So we have respect him,not falsely try to prove all manuscript is wrong create confusion and distort history to prove some fake love story to be true.So the book cant be just discarded to create confusion and distort history.

The details about the kids of Akbar’s and Jahangir’s is the same in both Tsuzuki i Jahangiri and Akbarnama proving Tsuzuki to be the authentic version. The mother’s identity alone is not given in Akbarnama, but it is provided in Tsuzuki. All the other details are same in both the books.

David price version is the grabbed, unauthentic version.

david

The book has been manipulated for Sharyar and not for Mariam Zamani which fans interpret according to their needs.Sharyar was the son in law of Empress Nurjahan who was born through a concubine. When the first 12 years was completed Her daughter was not married to Sharyar.First Nurjahan tried Prince Khusarao, but since he refused she shifted her daughter to Sharyar. The book was altered mainly for this reasons. One could sit and read through the portion where jahangirs kid are given.Jahangir in Tuzuki has frankly given that Sharyar was born through a concubine. In Tuzuki,he had given only the name of surviving kids of Akbar and Jahangir which coincides well with Akbarnama. In Davidprice version just to alter the birth of Sharyar they had removed the word concubine in both the places and so many wives names and so many kids which has not been mentioned inAkbarnama had been given(Memoirs of the Emperor Jahangueir Page no 20).In Tsuzuki Jahangir has stated with an open mind that both his last 2 sons are through royal concubines, which all historians agree. In David price version it is given as if Shahryar is born through the mother of Kuroon(Shahjahan),which is not given in any  historical books of his era.Even in the letter of Aurangazeb to Shahjahan he had  stated nothing that Shahjahan is the blood brother of Sharyar. In fact Shahjahan wanted all his sons from same mother so that there will be no fight between them.Apart from this there are so many appreciations of Nurjahan and her father,  which Jahangir did not do it in the first 12 years.

COMPARISON OF THE ACCOUNT OF JAHANGIR AND AKBAR’S CHILDREN

The following is an account of Jahangir’s children copied

I)From Tuzuki(The Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri;page no 19,20)

Khusrau and his sister Sulānu-n-nisā Begam, the latter of whom is my eldest child, were born of her—as before, ruler of the province of Bengal.Parwīz was born of Ṣāḥib-Jamāl (Mistress of Beauty), the cousin* of Zain Khān Koka, who, in point of affinity, was on the same footing* as Mīrzā ‘Azīz Koka, in the 34th year of my father’s reign, in the city of Kabul, two years and two months after the birth ofKhusrau. After several other children had been born to me and had been received into God’s mercy, a daughter was born of Karamsī,* who belonged to the Rāṭhor clan, and the child received the name of Bihār Bānū Begam. To Jagat Gosā’īn,* daughter of the Mota Raja (the fat raja), was born SulānKhurram, in the 36th year of my father’s reign, corresponding to A.H. 999,* in the city of Lahore. His advent made the world joyous (khurram),* and gradually, as his years increased, so did his excellencies, and he was more attentive to my father than all (my) other children, who was exceedingly pleased with and grateful for his services, and always recommended him to me and frequently told me there was no comparison between him and my other children. He recognised him as his real child.

After that (Khurram’s birth) some other children were born who died in infancy, and then within one month two sons were borne by concubines. One of these I called Jahāndār and the otherShahryār.*

II) From Price version(Memoirs of the Emperor Jahangueir page no 20,21)

After Khossrou, by the daughter of Sâeid Khaun, the son of Sultûn Saurung prince of Kashobar, I had a daughter, to whom we gave the name of Ouffet Baunee Begum. She died at the age of three years. Next to her, by Sauheb Jamaul, the neice of Zeyne Khaun Khoukah, I had a son born at Kabûl, on whom my father bestowed the name of ParveNext by the daughter of Derya Komm, a powerful Rajah at the foot of the mountains of Lahour, I had a daughter born, to whom I gave the name of Doulut Nisha Begum, who died at the age of seven months. Then another daughter by Beiby Karmitty, of the family of Râey Pour, whom I named Bahar Baunu Begum: she lived only two months. Next by Juggut Gossâeine, the daughter of Rajah Oudi Sing, who was master of eighty thousand horse, and than whom among the Rajahs of Hind there were few more powerful, I had another daughter, who received the name of Begum Sûltaun, but who did not survive her twelve months. By Sauheb Jamaul, who was the daughter of the Rajah of Luknou, came also a daugAfter him, by the daughter of the prince of Kashmeir, who was of the society of Jouggies, I had another daughter, who died a year old. Then by Shâei Begum, the daughter of Ibrauhim Hûsseyne Mirza, who was the grandson by a daughter of Mirza Kamraun, I had another daughter, who died before she was eight months old. Again, by Sauheb Jamaul, the mother of Parveiz, I had another daughter, who died at the age of five months. After her, by Juggut Gossâeine, the mother of Khorroum, I had a daughter, to whom I gave the name of Luzzet-ul-Nissa Begum: she died, however, at the age of five years. Again, by the mother of Parveiz I had another son, to whom, at my accession to the throne, they gave the name of Jahaundar; and last of all, by the mother of Khorroum I had another son, who received the name of Sheheryaur: both of these were born in the same month.hter, who lived only seven days; and by the daughter of Moutah Rajah* (Juggut Gossâeine) was born my son Khorroum.

‘One could see how the manipulation had been done to hide the parentage of Shariyar who was born through a concubine. It is more evident in the account of Akbar’s children which is given below.’

“Now i will give references from Akbarnama to show how the account of Akbarnama and Tuzuki i Jahangiri coincides.

III)From Akbarnama:”

On the eve of the 16th the daughter of Rāja Bhagwant Dās gave birth to a daughter* in the house of Prince Sulṭān Salīm, and there were various rejoicings. The horoscope according to the Greek method gave 18 degrees of Sagittarius and according to Hindū calculation it was 1 degree 41 minutes. The enlightened sovereign called her Sulṭān Khirad and, contrary to the usage of contemporaries, he had an assemblage to render thanksgivings. There was a great feast in the house of Maryam Makānī, and there was a presentation of gifts, and there was largesse.(AkbarnamaVolume III Page 746)

One of the occurrences was the birth of Sultān Khusrau. The Almighty Creator has adorned the honoured personality of H. M. with thousands of praiseworthy qualities, and his fortune is daily increasing. But the arrival of every thing depends on the movements of the heavens and is associated with a particular time. At this time which was the beginning of the spring time of dominion, the appearance of a grandson—which is one of the great gifts of God, and the most excellent fruit of age—the universe had new expansion, and mankind had new strength. After the lapse of ten hours and thirty-six minutes, on the day of Dīn 24 Amardād (about middle August 1587), the auspicious pearl displayed itself in the city of Lahore, in the bedchamber of Prince Sultān Selīm, from the chaste womb of the daughter of Rajah Bhagwant Dās. The news brought joy, and the Age set itself to rejoice. The coiners of celestial mysteries opened their far-seeing eyes and expounded somewhat of the glorious work of 524 the spheres and the stars.(Akbarnama Volume IIIPage 799)

In the beginning of this auspicious year a daughter was born to Prince Sulān Selīm. It was on the 28th (Farwardīn, 6 April, 1589) that the daughter of S’aīd K. obtained this great blessing. Contrary to the custom of contemporaries, it was made an occasion of rejoicing. H.M. gave the child the name of ‘Affat Bānū* (the modest lady).(AkbarnamaVolume III Page 816)

One occurrence was the birth* of Sultan Parvīz. On 19th Ābān after 9 1/2 hours he was born in the apartment of Prince Selīm by the daughter of Khwāja Ḥasan, the paternal uncle of Zain Kokaltāsh. There was great rejoicing.(AkbarnamaVolume III Page 859)

. On the 23rd Mir after 3 hours, 13 minutes, a daughter was born to Prince Selīm by the daughter of Kīshū* Rāhtor. H.M. called her Bihār Bānu. On the same night a daughter was born to the Prince by the Mota Rajah’s daughter. H.M. gave her the name of Begam* Sultan.(AkbarnamaVolume III Page 880)

On this day also Sultan Parviz had a sister born.(Akbarnama Volume IIIPage 888)

On 22 Farwardīn the world’s lord embarked on a boat and proceeded to the garden of M. Kāmrān. He enjoyed the spectacle of the spring. Next morning a happy-starred daughter was born in the harem of the Prince-Royal by the sister* of Abiyā Kashmīrī.

At this time a glorious son came into being, and there was a feast of joy. Inasmuch as the Incomparable Creator waters the garden of eternal dominion, auspicious sons were bestowed, one after the other, and the garden of fortune was kept verdant. Accordingly this noble record tells thereof. A fresh instance was when on the 26th (Dai) after four hours and 24 minutes, during the sign of Libra, the daughter of the Mota Rajah gave birth to a son in the harem of Prince Sulān Selīm (in Lahore). He received the name of Sulān Kharram.*(AkbarnamaVolume III page 921)

There is a mentioning of many more kids in Akbarnama, but nothing is mentioned about Sharyar as he was at the time of Akbar’s death.

Now one could go through the account and compare between the three books.Jahangir in Tsuzukihad mentioned only about his surviving kids which coincides with Akbarnama.Naturally he need not recollect and mention so many kids which had passed away.David price version and Akbarnama does not coincide.

This proves the authenticity of Tuzuki I Jahangiri.

The following is an account of Akbar’s children copied

I)From Tsuzuki(The Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri; page no34,35)

Three months after my birth my sister, Shāhzāda Khānam, was born to one of the royal concubines; they gave her over to his (Akbar’s) mother, Maryam Makānī. After her a son was born to one of the concubines, and received the name of Shāh Murād. As his birth occurred in the hill country of Fatḥpūr, he was nicknamed Pahārī. On the night of Jumādā-l-awwal 10th, A.H. 979 (September, 1572), another son was born to one of the concubines. As his birth took place at Ajmīr in the house of one of the attendants of the blessed shrine of the reverend Khwāja Mu‘īnu-d-dīn Chishtī, whose name wasShaikh Dāniyāl, this child was called Dāniyāl.After the birth of Dāniyāl a daughter was born to Bībī Daulat-Shād whom they named Shakaru-n-nisā Begam.* As she was brought up in the skirt of my revered father’s care, she turned out very well. After some time another girl was born to this same Bībī Daulat-Shād, and he (Akbar) called her Ārām Bānū Begam.*

II)From David Price:(Memoirs of the Emperor Jahangueir page no 46,47)

When he arrived at the age of twenty, Providence bestowed upon him his first child, who received the name of Fautma Banú Begum, but died at the age of one year. Her mother was Beiby Pungrâi. By Beiby Araumbuksh he had two sons, one of whom received the name of Hussun, and the other Hûsseyne. The latter was given to nurse to Bereijah Begum, the mother of Assuf Khaun, but lived only eighteen days; the other was consigned to the care of Zeyne Khaun Koukah, and did not live the tenth day. After these he had by Beiby Seleima Begum a daughter whom he named Shahzâdah Khaunum, who was consigned to the care of his own mother, Mereiam Makauny (who has her place with Mary). Among all my sisters, in integrity, truth, and zeal for my welfare, she is without her equal; but her time is principally devoted to the worship of her Creator.

Next was born to him by Beiby Kheira a son, to whom they gave the name of Pahry. The name bestowed upon him by my father was Sûltan Mûrâd, but having been born among the hills of Futtahpour, and a hill in Hindûstauny being called pahr, my father in familiar language usually addressed him by the name of Pahry, or mountain-born.Subsequently my father had by Meher Semmaa a daughter, on whom he bestowed the name of Meeti Begum; meeti in Hindûstauny signifying sweet. She died, however, at eight months old. After this he had a son by Beeby Mereiom who was placed under the care of Râjah Baharmul. To return to the enumeration of my father’s children, he had by Naun Beiby a daughter whom he named Lâla Begum, and whom he consigned also to the care of his mother, in whose charge she died at the expiration of eighteen months.

III)From Akbarnama
The name of the mother is not given.

a)Birth of prince Salim

At length, in an auspicious ??oment the unique pearl of the Caliphate emerged from the shell of ??e womb, and arrived at the shore of existence in the city of ??atḥpūr. At the ascension-point of the 24th degree of Libra after ??even hours had elapsed of the day* of Rashn 18 Shahriywar, Divine month, corresponding to the beginning of Āb (August) 1880 Rūmī, 11 Bahman of the year 938 of the old Yezdijird era, or* the day of Dīn 24 Shahriywar of the Jalālī year 491, or 977 of the lunar era, the star of auspiciousness rose from the horizon of fortune.

b)Birth of Khanam:

Just then the news came that in the holy harem a daughter had been born on the day of Dībāẕar 8 Āẕar, Divine month, corresponding to Sunday 11 Jamāda-al-ākhir, 21 November 1569. He gave to that auspicious arrival the name of Khānam,* and ordered rejoicings. It is hoped that the notes of auspiciousness in her will increase day by day and that she will be a cause of increased life and fortune to the lord of the world. After some days when high and low had been delighted with the hunting, he returned to the capital.

c)BIRTH OF PRINCE SHĀH MURĀD.

. Among these blessings was this, that in this fortunate year, after the passing of fifty-two seconds (pul) of the night of Asmān, the 27th Khirdād, Divine month, Thursday, 3 Muḥarram 978, 7 June 1570, 29 Khirdād, of 1881, 492 Jalālī Malikī, corresponding* to 17 Ābān 939 of Yezdijird, 8 Ḥazīrān 1881 Rūmī, under Capricorn according to the Greek philosophers, and Sagittarius, according to the Indian sages, a noble son, in whose forehead the lights of high fortune were visible, appeared in the fortunate quarters of Shaikh Selīm in Fatḥpūr. A new rose of the Caliphate bloomed. In a fortunate hour the name of that fortunate prince was inscribed in fortune’s page as Shāh Murād. In rejoicing for the rising of this star of fortune, great feasts were held, and largesses bestowed. The skirt of time was made heavy with the coin of success (murād).]

d)Birth of Prince Daniyal

At the time that the sublime cortège was proceeding from Ajmīr, one of the secluded ones of the screen of chastity had come near the time of child-birth and was unable to endure movement or a journey. In searching for an auspicious place the house of Daniel* —a follower of the illustrious shrine (or M’uīnu-d-dīn)—was found. It was made empty and the lady was placed there. The cortège of fortune had halted in Phalūdī,* which lies in a desert (ran) belonging to the Sarkār of Nāgaur, when couriers came from Ajmīr and brought the joyful intelligence that after 41 puls of the night of Āsmān, 27 Shahriyūr, Divine month, corresponding to Wednesday, 2 Jamāda-al-awal, 9 September 1572, according to visibility* and to the night of the third according to supreme decree, under the sign of Aries according to the Greek philosophers, and of Pisces according to the Indian sages, the Giver of life and Adorner of the world had, in the blissful land of Ajmīr,* the longitude of which is 111°5′, and latitude 26′, bestowed on the Shāhinshāh a lofty-starred son

e)Birth of Aram Banu Begum

One of the occurrences was the birth of Ārām Bānū Begam.* On 12 Dai, 22 December 1584, divine month, and the 19th degree of Sagittarius, and according to the calculation of the Indians, one degree and 54 minutes, that night-gleaming jewel of fortune appeared, and glorified the harem of the Shāhinshāh. Astrologers announced the joyful news, and the world’s lord conferred on her that great name. It is to be hoped that the advent of this lady of the family of chastity will be the means of increased life and will be an adornment to the kingdom.

“Now one could see how wherever concubine name was given some Beiby name is substituted. The word concubine was avoided fully in the text to hide Shahriyar was born through a concubine.Nurjahan wanted Kusarao or Shahjahan to be her son-in-law because they were born to queens, but since they refused she accepted Shariyar. Moreover in Price version Shukrinissa is not mentioned. There is no documentation of the birth of Fathima in Akbarnama.”

This clearly proves that TUZUKI IS THE AUTHENTIC VERSION.

for truth to win,one needs facts, for lie to win one needs confusion.”

This is only followed in creating a confusion about Jahangirnama.

Also one more think they are trying to gains is

“ when two cats fight the monkey wins”.

monkey

When the authenticity of the jahangirnama is being debated, the Jodha Akbar fans are trying to says all kids are born through Mariam zamani which is not there in any historical records.

miniature-painting-of-akbar-with-jodha-bai-india-asia-eryxgb

The writings of Tuzuki coincides with Akbarnama ,Iqbalnama and Early travel in India.which is a book written by foreign travellers who were in Jahangir court. Children’s identity of both Akbar’s and Jahangir’s is same in both the books.Similarly events in Tuzuki coincides with Akbarnama and books written by foreign travellers in Jahangir’s court.

This proves Tsuzuki to be an authentic book.

मेरा दिल चले   थम  के;
किसी के जख्म की टीसों पे ;
मेरी रूह तड़प जाये;
मेरी आह निकल जाये;
प्रभु ऐसे  ही भावो से मेरे इस दिल को तुम भर दो;
मेरा खून जम जाये;
कदम उस ओर बढ़ जाये;
निवाला न निगल पाऊँ;
मैं लाठी ही बन जाऊं;
प्रभु ऐसे ही भावों से मेरे इस दिल को तुम भर दो;

SUBJECT:- Harassment and Humiliation to senior citizen of 69 years, with geriatric diseases, living alone at M107-12, All owing to un-ethical practices of the Housing Society, though registered running to their whims and fancies, as the Housing Societies though registered by the Department of Registration, Govt. of T.N., by which the minorities suffer.  Have already addressed the subject to them and as well as the Police Department, to be aware of the horrible consequences of prejudice, hate and discrimination that continue to threaten residents. Wish, we had preventive factor to all that is said! So that, honest innocent member of the housing society are not duped, deprived, disappointed, during modern-age of fast life.

WHO PERMITTED ?

·         FLAT M107-18, OWNER MR. JAYARAMAN, HAD SECRETLY CONSTRUCTED ADDITIONAL REST-ROOM IN THE BALCONY OF HIS FLAT, TAKING “LAW INTO HIS OWN HANDS” CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE BALCONY BELOW OF FLAT M107-12,(Dr.P.K.Chandran), NEGLECTING TO EVEN SHOW CONCERN  FOR THE DAMAGES CAUSED BY HIM.

·         FLAT M 107-24, OWNER MR RAVICHANDRAN FOLLOWs TO TAKE “LAW INTO HIS OWN HANDS” BY ASKING A CIVIL CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE ALL THE DOORS OF HIS FLAT INCLUDING THE DOOR-FRAME OF THE DOORS, THEREBY NECESSITATING THE CUTTING OF THE CONCRETE PORTION OF THE WALL WITH POWER DRILLS AND CUTTERS. ALSO CUTTING THE WALLS ON THE EASTERN SIDE, TO REPLACE THE WINDOWS WITH THE FRAME, WITH ADDITIONAL WORK TO REMOVE THE EXISTING FLOORING TILES AND REPLACE WITH NEW HEAVY CERAMIC TILES. Please consider the magnitude of work on a building performed without prior sanction of the Local Administrative Authorities, when the residential building is over 45 years of age. It is pertinent from this feedback that a suitable / appropriate action is taken, ATLEAST after the exposure, for any INDIVIDUAL OWNER “not to undertake major repairs on such old buildings without prior permission and sanction, as such works on the third 3rd floor, adds to shock of impact-load, leading to considerable vibrations thereby cracks to the existing old building.  * emanating considerable SOUND and DUST POLLUTION.

·         GRAVE NUISANCE  CAUSED TO THE SENIOR CITIZENs/sleeping infantsAND those on nightduty works in the building : since the NOISY SOUND and DUST POLLUTION are detrimental to general health. WHY such things to happen, neglecting local government authorities, when much said of senior citizen’s and child helpline ?

Authorities, of the POLICE, Chennai City Corporation, Pollution Control Board, NGO’s relevant to please view this issue, in the interest of Greater Chennai City.

Dear Sirs,

Please note, I am constrained to bring it to the notice of the jurisdictional Police Station here again now, requesting for an F.I.R. / C.S.R., which you deem fit, to enable me to take the matter to the Court of Law, *if the matter could not be amicably and reasonably settled.  All the conspiracy is owing to sadist Sri. Vasu Murari, who doesn’t like peace.(Flat Owner, M107-13 ), an Ex.BSNL employee added to Middle- East experience, doing Care-taker job of flats,to Flat- Owner’s living elsewhere, besides house-broker job and clinging to the Housing Society / Assoc. Secretary handling purchases etc., as known to me. WHO IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for the entire nuisance, commotion, by the biased services and politicized condition of the living complex. While the aims and objects of the Housing Society, is for the general well-being of all residents, by taking care of the common amenities, for a conducive living. Herein BN Prefab Flat Owners Association, 29th Cross Street. Housing Society maintained exclusively for ONLY pumping water into the over-head tanks and common lighting, but in the bargain neglects a few, with inefficiency causing discrimination and harm by damaging pipeline, causing interruption to the storage of water to my flat(M107-12), besides the terrace key is given to whom they like, hence not accessible, though the monthly maintenance charges collected are the same, from all the flat owners.

SERIES OF INCIDENTS THAT HAPPENED:- SINCE 2003.  Letter addressed to Sri.Vasu Murari(said above);

·         When self moved to M107-5, in 2003, YOU told me and Mr.Gopalamurthy M107-5&6, to move 5 feet behind, to reduce the frontage garden area, to accommodate four “2 wheelers”, on either side. With due respect and regards, self duly complied. But you spared Gopalamurthy from complying to the common request. It was only my time, effort and money that were wasted, for compliance.

·         An act of sabotage by blocking the sewage, leading to flooding of sewage into my flat No.M107-5, Ground Floor. Well planned grievous-crime, for my exposing Vasu Murari, the middle man, who foolishly drained society’s revenue, by dumping scrap of  Cuddapah cover for the water-tanks of M107 Block, as purchased.

·         Arranged to drop a snake, to be left in the portion between my main door and the grille-door and calling me, informing a snake noticed. Self came out and noticed the same, and got rid of it, by calling a garden labor.

·         Arranging intermittent murky water into my overhead tank for supply, and also damaging pipeline, giving me trouble while staying alone. Harassment/Humiliation.

·         Dr.Elizabeth(M107-10) during her time in the Executive Council of our Assoc. selfishly, and unfairly made a bore and pump for her personal use. Misuse and abuse as Committee Member. Till today, driver uses for water-wash and cleaning their Maruthi Car and scooter, which formed a precedence, not stopped or questioned, later on, a connection made to their flat number ’10’with variation in the size of pipes connecting to filling. While no provision for isolation, extra water charged to my family indiscriminately to the extent of IRS 3000/-plus by Mrs & Mr.Palaniappan showing street-smartness, which was unfair, while they are not real owners.

·         While self-living alone in M107-5, objection was raised for watering the plants Association issued circular not to overload the motor by gardening use of water WHEN operator pumps the water to the overhead tanks. While many other members were even misusing all means, having a key in their hands. No objection made when Mr.Gopalamurthy continues to water the plants in the frontage of his house, till todate. The need for uniformity and fair practice.

·         Illegal construction of a rest-room over the balcony of mine in the first floor and on my reporting the same in the enforcement cell  of Zone 13, CCC Adyar, they not taking heed to warn the flat owner miscreants of the second floor, Sri.jayaraman(M107-18), who has rented out from inception, as he is staying in Kelly’s, to attract more revenue as rent  for the additional rest room facilities, violated without obtaining prior permission, with the result leaks and cracks appearing below, in the balcony of my flat(M107-12),which resulted in dirty sewage leaks sweeping over the walls of my balcony.  The enforcement cell been enticed by the owner of flat number 18, alongwith the middle man Vasu Murari,  thereby neglecting and discrimination in public services under Zone 13 administration. Hence self reported the matter to the jurisdictional Thiruvanmiyur Police Station and as an acknowledgement obtained a CSR No.303:2015 dated the 13th April 2015, 1130 hrs. Party not warned nor penalized for illegal act, overloading the permanent structure.

·         Therefore, there are so many deviations around in 144 flats of Prefab Flats. Despite , Mr.Paul Joseph collected all men and women around and trying to gherao me, while self going for lunch on 8th Feb.2016. When I told him, if he is a qualified engineer with good back-ground, he should have some basic ethics to come and speak to me in my residence on the first floor. While, self-was with my family in M107-5, he entered my house once with fresh fish from the market when I asked him to leave the raw fish in his house and come to speak, so manner less guy. All this, Mr.Paul Joseph your good friend, and the members assembled questioning as to what the tenants of mine (Flat No.5) doing, on occupying as though for a barbeque in the frontage of the flat.  It is high time to look into consolidative needs, without bias and prejudice. All the deviations made to the selfish gain of few members, all these years but for uniformity and peaceful congenial-living.

YOU MUST BE VERY MUCH AWARE, THAT UNDER Sec. 8 of the Apartment Owner ship Act, 1994:-

·         Prohibits the Apartment Owner, by doing any work or putting the Apartment for other use, which would jeopardize the soundness OR the safety of the property and reduce the value thereof or impair any easement of heridament annexed to the apartment. If any material structure is to be added or excavated, any additional basement , it requires unanimous consent of the other apartment owners.

·         The Flat/Apartments Owners Society, under Sec.12, is to maintain the common areas and facilities as necessary fairly and uniformly without any neglect or discrimination, while the stairs and terrace of our side portion is neglected for sweeping / water wash as done to the other part of the same block, since almost all the owners are staying outside/elsewhere , since on their renting it out. Besides, Mrs. And Mr. Gopalamurthy (M107-6),  leaves to his son’s place in Singapore/Hong Kong, on 6 month visa, and Mrs. & Mr.Ramachandran also leaves to Bangalore and New Delhi frequently. Hence, hardly owners stay this side. Housing Society Committee Members therefore neglects service rendered to this area of the Housing Block. Hence the biased service facilities within, all such activities prevailing because of the unofficial caretaker service rendered by Mr.Vasu Murari (M107-13), for the owners staying elsewhere and for the extra bore used by M107-10, during the time Mrs. Elizabeth were in the managing committee, going continuously with preferential treatment for Car Wash and extra water exclusively for Flat No. 10, though a known violation. With the result several deviations.

SEWAGE was flooded into my then residence(M107-5) as a sabotage by Sri. Vasu Murari and the exterior of the flats and thus lived in a most hygienic condition until the TWAD came into rescue after my submission of evidence, substantial proof by images submitted to the department by way of recorded  C. D. Your Corpn. Engineers including Enforcement Section, are fully aware of the same, but for case of neglect and discrimination.

Secondly, since last three years considerable leakages from the top balcony of Flat No.18 appeared, draining from the illegally erected toilet and bath(Rest Room). Mr. Murthy , A.E. called and said that he has asked the upper flat to stop using the said toilet and Bath. He also said that the walls will be scraped of the dirty fouling sewage that seeped into BUT same never done, suspected because of the middle man said above who is the caretaker for others flat-owners, staying elsewhere.  Though the jurisdictional Police Station reported and CSR moved for action,  the party unmoved tilldate, in the bargain my costly washing machine’ IFB  ‘in my balcony, faced premature failures, all owing to the acidic liquid taking access into my area. Efforts not made to neither warn, nor penalize, to curb such violations. A visit would convince, the facts of reality.

Though suggested, to plant only flower-plants but for many banana trees and large trees and the branches and twigs causes nuisance for squirrels/rats and insects gaining entry into my first floor flat. Southern side pruning not done as yet, despite several requests, going all in vain.

Earlier REFUSE Bin Points, were distributed in different areas i.e on either side of the broad 29th Cross and as well as in 30th Cross Street, BUT ALL THE REFUSE NOW DUMPED in 29th Cross Street * i.e. in between 29th & 30th Cross Street, side of the Childrens Park.  w/Health Hazards, where vehicles are diverted during week-ends.

·         Un-friendly public service that prevails indiscriminately, all in a selfish manner, nullifies the object of the Housing Society, being a registered body, since not properly regulated.

The imperative need for periodical checks for WATER in over-head tanks for “Health and Hygiene” and also for CHECKs to mischief’s by miscreants in damaging the pipelines, leading to the flats, disturbing intermittently with bottleneck in service etc. creating self-importance, stating due to unavoidable circumstance. No efforts taken despite of ‘ repetitive nature ‘.

Can a residential member approach consumer forum for redressing his grievance?

Yes.  Housing is covered under the term “Service” in the Consumer Protection Act, 1986(the CPA 1986). Therefore the services rendered to the members by the Housing Society falls within the purview of the CPA 1986. Further, the provisions of the CPA 1986, are in addition to and not in derogation of any provisions contained in any other Act, this means that the provisions of the CPA are additional remedial avenues provided to consumers by the Parliament  of India.

In view of the above, any dispute with a Housing Society, by any member with respect to rendering any services such as allotment of house, possession of house, rendering maintenance services in relation to housing complex etc. are covered by the CPA 1986, and a member can approach the Consumer Forums, for claiming compensation and damages against the housing society for rendering deficient-services. The Supreme Court has held in the case of Secretary, Thirumurugan Cooperative Agricultural Credit Society v. M.Lalitha, (2004) 10 CLA-BL Supp thata member can approach consumer forum as a consumer to redress his grievance against a cooperative society. Housing Society primarily being a Cooperative Society this judgment is applicable to Cooperative Housing Society also.

·         All elected members of the managing committee of societies are required to execute a bond holding them “jointly and severally” responsible for all the decisions the committee takes, whereby elected members of managing committees, have to declare they are jointly and severally responsible for all the acts and omissions detrimental to the interests of the society. “Lack of professionalism, transparency, insider/connected borrowing –saree, chit business etc. within and political interference, are the bane of co-operative housing societies. The new measure should deter managing committee members from taking arbitrary decisions, as it is not based on specific merit needs nor they consider to check-up with their relevant qualified members, for reasons better known to your good self in handling many such allied cases. Could prove to be the proverbial double-edged sword. Which makes, each member personally liable. For example, even if an executable decision is taken on merits, an error of judgment cannot be ruled out but minimized to the bare minimum. So documentation is very vital during the tenure of a member goes bad, he will be liable for it, even if he ceases to be a member of the managing committee. Residents of co-operative housing societies, who normally are reluctant to take up the honorary responsibility of looking after the affairs of the society, are expected not to join managing committees. One to be morally responsible for what they do or perform when they undertake any assignment, whether remunerative or honorary.

With regards.

Sincerely yours,

Shadows at Dusk novel which exposes and bemoans horrendous acts being perpetrated on girls and women bluerosepublishers.com

“Something sinister is afoot in Rajasthan. An organized sex syndicate uses cattle hormone to ‘develop’ kidnapped young girls into women and forcing them into flesh trade.”

Such headlines would make any reader shudder. So would Shadows At Dusk, as this novel exposes and bemoans horrendous acts being perpetrated on girls and women. The story unfolds the life of a middle-aged woman, masseur by profession, who relives her anguished trajectory rendering an insightful narrative that showcases not only the pain of an archetypal Indian woman, but also throws spotlight on the plight of well-heeled urban women through her close interaction with them. It becomes poignantly ironic when she deciphers such uncomfortable similarities in the lives of these women despite their privileged social and economic backgrounds.

Neelmani Bhatia has penned this book for every woman who has suffered since Eve walked the planet earth, for her ability to break the conventional shackles, and hail the woman power – the power to make sacrifices, the power to abrogate her own identity, the power to make men feel powerful so that they could achieve greater heights. That is, the power of silent suffering.

Though a work of fiction, it could serve as referral for sociological study! There is no pretension of subverting the cultural myths. All those who want to unravel the mystic India, see the real India and rather delve into the heart and hearth of the Indian women, who have to grapple with elephantine problems ranging from infanticide, honour killing to caste and class discrimination, would be drawn to its absorbing pages.

Apart from Modi’s dedication to the task he has undertaken, what has impressed me most is his time management which is obvious from the analysis of his foreign trips. He does not like to waste a minute of his time and that is why he is able to pay attention to so many issues, big as well as small, at the same time.

He will be remembered as a Great Time Management Guru. I hope, on day, in his ‘man ki baat’ he will tell the people about time management.

A fantasy called Kashmir

People are talking of referendum to resolve the Kashmir crisis once and for all. Do they know India’s experience was referendum? What price the country and its people had to pay for the farce? Let us recall – in 1947, how almost all of erstwhile Hindu majority Sylhet District of Assam became a part East Pakistan, now Bangladesh – following a referendum! The real dirty politics behind that exercise is not known to many. The Pakistani authorities wanted that part of the prosperous land for themselves and the political authorities in Assam did not want this thickly populated Bengali dominated district to be a part of Assam lest the Assamese people would loose their majority status. In that political push – pull situation, the inevitable manipulation took place. Barring the (then) Karimganj sub division which was incorporated into the Indian state of Assam, India lost the major portion to Pakistan forcing thousands of Bengali Hindus to flee their homeland and take refuge in India. Their suffering still continues. How can India forget that mass human tragedy? It will be even worse if the proposed solution of another referendum to resolve the Kashmir crisis is accepted. On the other hand, let us recall how Goa, Hydrabad and Pondichery had become part of India. Such no-nonsense approach must be adopted towards Kashmir. The continuing plight of the displaced Kashmiri Pundits must also be addressed.

Let us not be misled by the fact that Burhan Wani’s funeral attracted thousands. It was not spontaneous. We have seen how “spontaneous” strikes are “arranged” in our country. There is no spontaneity. Today, anyone who looked pro-India is a suspect and eligible for elimination in Kashmir. Let us not be misled by the gruesome pictures of youths with eye injury flooding the social media. The youths are not voluntarily participating in the demonstrations to act as a shield to the separatists’ violent protests. They have no choice – they are being brainwashed and forced by the enemy of our country and Pakistani agents. Let us not be deceived by the news that father of slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani has emerged as the rallying face of protests in the Valley. Had it been his voluntary action, he would have come forward immediately after death of his son – not after a gap of all these days. It is obvious that he has been tricked and forced by the same miscreants who are behind the disturbances in Kashmir.

We have been blowing hot and cold with the Kashmir issue for too long and had been asking the Kashmiris from time to time “what they want”. It was a blunder to allow them special privilege and follow a soft approach. Our appeasement policy towards the separatists and conciliatory strategy towards Pakistan for last seventy years have landed us on the ongoing trauma of Kashmir – which we are staring at today. The day of cajoling is over now.

When your house is on fire, you do not sit down to analyze the cause but rush to the nearest fire extinguishers. When anti India / pro Pakistan / Jehadi slogans are raised from the loudspeakers atop Mosques in Indian soil, it is nothing but invasion to our secular democracy. We must liberate that part of our country from the foreigners and their agents, with all our might. Once we do that, we may think of finding out from the Kashmiris “what they really want”. Once peace is restored,  we may take steps “to win the hearts of the people of the state” as the leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s open letter to the Prime Minister reads. But, not now when a Kashmiri Muslim cannot dare to call himself an Indian in Kashmir lest he would be killed.

It is very inappropriate to comment about a lady. It reflects upon the person commenting. Many are shacken up by the achievements of the Government though long term. It is by each day passing becoming difficult to accept the progressive measures adopted by Prime Minister and his Team. It might have caused frustation amongst others, hence such uncalled for comments.

DEAFENING SILENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Notwithstanding  the  fact that the ruling party in a democracy is prone to indulging in populist measures to remain in power, it would be disastrous to abandon long term goals in face of political expediency, particularly when the very survival of the human race is at stake. Unfortunately, the Finance Minister in his  budget speech did not find it worthwhile to even mention this global crisis, let alone find the ways how to tackle it. Was it an ominous silence? Was the PMO  clueless about the budget  proposals? Is the government not serious about its  international obligations and commitments?

PARIS CONFERENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE

It might be called preposterous on my part to remind the honourable Prime Minister that only in  November  2015 he visited a beautiful place called Paris to attend the World Climate Change Conference ( also called COP 21), where  leaders of  the world had gathered to find ways and means to tackle the manace of global warming.  The 195 Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)  adopted the Paris Agreement after two weeks of intensive negotiations at the summit. Calling the Paris Agreement on climate change “a health insurance policy for the planet,” United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he never lost faith over his nine years in office that the international community could rise to the challenge and take steps to curb emission and boost climate-resilient growth. “It is a health insurance policy for the planet. It is the most significant action in years to uphold our Charter mandate to ‘save succeeding generations.’ For the first time, every country in the world has pledged to curb emissions, strengthen resilience and act internationally and domestically to address climate change.”

BUDGETARY PROVISIONS – CLUELESS GOVERNMENT

The Environment Ministry has got Rs 2,250.34 crore in the 2016-17 Union budget  of which Rs 2,000 cr is under plan head and Rs 250.34 cr under non plan. Last year, the Ministry had got Rs 1668.60 crore of which Rs 1,446.60 crore was under plan and Rs 222 crore under non plan heads. The 2016-17 budgetary allocation marks an increase of Rs 581.74 crore over the current fiscal.

Finance Minister  increased the cess on coal production from Rs 200 per tonne to Rs 400 per tonne. He also said the Clean Energy Cess would be renamed as Clean Environment Cess. When it was doubled from Rs 100 per tonne to Rs 200 per tonne last year, it was estimated that it would contribute about Rs 13,000 crore to National Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) every year. With the value of this fund going up further with the latest hike, the entire budget allocation for Ministry of New and Renewable Energy for this year — Rs 5,000 crore — is proposed to come from NCEF. Half the plan outlay for Environment Ministry, about Rs 1,000 crore, is also proposed to be met through this fund.

Terming pollution and traffic situation in Indian cities as a “matter of concern”, FM also proposed to levy an infrastructure cess of 1 per cent on small petrol, LPG, CNG cars, 2.5 per cent on diesel cars of certain capacity and 4 per cent on other higher engine capacity vehicles and SUVs.

THE ALARM BELLS ARE RINGING

Any number of reports from the renownd organisations/institution/NGO’s  around the world may be cited to support the view that the global climate change is for real and that human activities are primarily responsible for it. However, I would like referring  to  the  Synthesis Report released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) . The Synthesis Report distils and integrates the findings of the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report produced by over 800 scientists and released over the past 13 months – the most comprehensive assessment of climate change ever undertaken.

The Synthesis Report confirms that climate change is being registered around the world and warming of the climate system is unequivocal. Since the 1950s many of the observed changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia. “Our assessment finds that the atmosphere and oceans have warmed, the amount of snow and ice has diminished, sea level has risen and the concentration of carbon dioxide has increased to a level unprecedented in at least the last 800,000 years,” said Thomas Stocker, Co-Chair of IPCC Working Group I. The report expresses with greater certainty than in previous assessments the fact that emissions of greenhouse gases and other anthropogenic drivers have been the dominant cause of observed warming since the mid-20th century. The impacts of climate change have already been felt in recent decades on all continents and across the oceans.

“We have the means to limit climate change,” said the Chair of the IPCC. “The solutions are many and allow for continued economic and human development. All we need is the will to change, which we trust will be motivated by knowledge and an understanding of the science of climate change.”

Is the Prime Minister of India listening? If not, we are waiting for a disaster. Forget the so-called Vikas, even our survival is in danger. This is not five star activism. Mind it, this the stark reality. The choice is yours.

Smriti Irani – the master blaster

Though this phrase was used for Sachin, Smriti Irani is the latest recipient of this title. The manner in which she took over the Parliament by her fiery speech , it was a matter of concern for those people who thought that the educated should be the only entrants into parliament. I agree , but educated doesn’t mean enlightened. So it is better to have an enlightened lady than an educated one who doesn’t speak out in Parliament. The depth of the research , the confidence and the expression was to be seen to be believed. That day she won a lot of admirers. She was already admired by many for having bravely faced the might of Rahul Gandhi for which she has been rewarded too. But on that fateful day, she was a on a rampage . The opposition was a lame duck, running helter skelter.

Coming to the latest, the Bihar Minsiter’s address to Smriti Irani on the incessant delay of the New Education Policy was tangentially taken somewhere . The delay in education policy was a genuine question. But the astute politician in Smriti Irani took over . Instead of replying to the question she took out the word DEAR and blasted the minister with a lecture of addressing ladies and so on and side stepped the issue of delay. And the whole nation took to this debate for and against with one side talking talking of respect to women and the other spoke of grammar and letter writing correctness and the delay issue was forgotten. This is the mark of an astute leader. Not just did she sidestep the issue but she raised another issue to subvert the attention. Poor Bihar Minister.

Correct Chronology From The Puranas i.indiaopines.com

For details please visit the web site: www.puranic.site88.net

According to the modern Indian history books Lord Buddha is believed to have been born in the sixth century BC and Chandragupta Maurya is believed to have been the ruler of Magadha Empire soon after the invasion of Alexander in the year 327 BC. There is a common misconception among the laymen as well as the historians that these and the other dates given in the official version of Indian history are proven facts.

However, a careful and critical examination of the sources from which, and the manner in which, these dates have been derived show that these dates are only as true as the creation of the universe in (or around) the year 4006 BC.

Most people including the historians believe that the dates mentioned above and the other dates of Indian history have been derived mainly from archaeological evidences, inscriptions on stone pillars and the accounts of the foreign travelers. But no history can be written from such discontinuous sources. History has to be written mainly from the historical accounts. The modern pioneers of Indian history namely Sir William Jones, Professor Max Muller, Professor Wilson and other orientalists of late eighteenth and early nineteenth century AD knew this and the first sources they looked for Indian history were the scriptures known as Itihasa and Purana such as Mahabharata, Bhagavata Purana, Vishnu Purana, Vayu Purana, Matsysa Purana and Bhavishya Purana.

The Puranas give the dates of the historical events in Kaliyugabda, Vikram Samvat, Sakabda and other Indian eras still in use at present. From these narrations it is possible to get the dates of all important historical events in the Christian era. This web site gives the chronology of ancient Indian history calculated precisely in this manner.

However, Sir William Jones and the European orientalists of the eighteenth and early nineteenth century AD ran into a serious difficulty in determining the chronology from the Puranas in this manner. It must be recalled that during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries it was firmly believed by scientists and other learned men of Europe that the universe was created around the year 4006 BC.

The theory of evolution suggested by Darwin and the idea of the universe being millions, or even billions, of years old was not accepted by scientists till late nineteenth century. Other learned men of Europe did not accept, or even know, such antiquity of the universe till the twentieth century. The earlier European orientalists could not possibly believe in the chronology of Puranas which places the age of the universe at a few billion years ( in contrast to the accepted age of less than 6000 years ) at the end of the eighteenth century AD.

Their misgivings were strengthened because of the following:

1. The narrations of the events of the first three eras, namely Krita Yuga, Treta Yuga and Dwapara Yuga, in the Puranas appear more mythical than factual, though the narrations of the events of Kali Yuga are purely factual accounts.

2. Most of the narrations of the events after the battle of Kurukshetra are written in future tense. All narrations are made in a mythological language involving the gods (rather unnecessarily) in the events. This could be very confusing to scholars not familiar with Indian traditions.

3. There are some discrepancies in the accounts of the different Puranas partly due to errors in copying, proof-reading etc. including modern printing and partly due to deliberate alterations to suit the purpose of the royal families in whose courts the scriptures were maintained. These could be corrected by comparing the different Puranas as well as the different versions of the same Purana. This could be hardly expected to have been done in an unbiased manner by the early European orientalists who were exploring a field hitherto completely unknown. The later orientalists, like Pargiter, could not do a proper evaluation as they were already biased by the earlier work.

4. Many famous translations, or rather narrations, of the Puranas in the vernacular languages contain accounts much in variation from the original Sanskrit texts from which those are purported to have been derived. Kamban Ramayana, Kritibas Ramayana and Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas are such examples. In addition there are famous literary works like “Abhigyana Shakuntalam”, “Mudra Rakshasa” and “Harsha Charita” which are more popular but can be very misleading for the purpose of chronology.

Thus the European orientalists like Professor Max Muller and Sir William Jones came to the obvious, but grossly erroneous, conclusion that though the accounts of the Puranas are based on a hard core of historical facts, the chronology is all wrong.Having thus dismissed the straightforward method of determining the chronology of Indian history, the orientalists started looking for other sources including their own conjectures. Sir William Jones actually suggested a chronological table of events starting with the year 4006 BC which he conjectured as the year of creation of Swayambhuba Manu.

This chronological table taken from the “Complete Works of Sir William Jones” is given in Appendix I. (See part 6 of this web site ) Though most of the modern historians do not know it, the chronology they use is an improved version of the table given in Appendix I.

Professor Max Muller improved upon the work of Sir William Jones by trying to correlate Indian history with Greek history. One ancient event the date of which is well-known in the Christian era is the invasion of Alexander. There is no mention whatsoever of Alexander or anything connected with his invasion in any Purana or any other ancient Indian account including the Buddhist Chronicles. The obvious inference is that the invasion of Alexander did not touch any important kingdom of India. Professor Max Muller then searched the Greek accounts and the narrations of the other classical European writers for the name of any Indian ruler who could be located. One such name is Sandrocottus. He is said to have succeeded Xandramese who was a contemporary of Alexander. Sir William Jones had suggested that Chandragupta of Mudra Rakshasa could be the Sandrocottus of Greek history.

Professor Max Muller confirmed this identification. His main purpose was to arrive at a chronology acceptable to the intellectuals of early nineteenth century. In fact his motives and methods are best described in his own words. In his “History of Ancient Sanskrit Literature (Allahabad Edition 1859 A.D)” Professor Max Muller writes as follows:

“There is but one means through which history of India can be connected with that of Greece, and its chronology be reduced to its proper limits. Although we look in vain in the literature of the Brahmans or Buddhists for any allusion to Alexander’s conquest, and although it is impossible to identify any of the historical events, related by Alexander’s companions, with the historical traditions of India, one name has fortunately been preserved by classical writers who describe the events immediately following Alexander’s conquest, to form a connecting link between the history of the East and the West. This is the name of Sandrocottus or Sandrocyptus, the Sanskrit Chandragupta. “We learn from classical writers Justin, Arrian, Diodorus Siculus, Strabo, Quintus Curtius and Plutarch, powerful king of the name of Xandrames, and that soon after Alexander’s invasion, a new empire was founded there by Sandrocottus or Sandrocyptus.

“These accounts of the classical writers contain a number of distinct statements which could leave very little doubt as to the king to whom they referred. Indian historians, it is true, are generally so vague and so much given to exaggeration, that their kings are all very less, if there ever was such a king of Prasii a usurper, residing at Pataliputra, called Sandrocyptus or Sandrocottus, it is hardly possible that he should not be recognized in the historical traditions of India. The name of Chandragupta and the resemblance of this name with the name of Sandrocottus or Sandrocyptus was first, I believe, pointed out by Sir William Jones. IVDr. Wilford, Professor Wilson and Professor Lassen have afterwards added further evidence in confirmation of Sir William Jone’s conjecture; and although other scholars and particularly M. Troyer, in his edition of the Rajatarangini, have raised objections, we shall see that the evidence in favour of the identity of Chandragupta and Sandrocyptus is such as to admit of no reasonable doubt”.

From this identification, the coronation of Maurya Chandragupta around the year 327 BC was taken as the sheet anchor date for Indian chronology.

Though most of the modern scholars of Indian history do not know it all the dates of ancient Indian history have been arrived at by calculating backward and forward from this sheet anchor date. For example Lord Buddha (according to the Puranas and Buddhist chronicles) was born nearly 340 years before the coronation of Maurya Chandragupta. His year of birth was fixed as 567 BC purely as a conjecture.

It is high time that the modern students and scholars of history rewrite the ancient history of India on the basis of the correct chronology from the Puranas. The purpose of the web site is to provide students and scholars of history the outline of the Puranic chronology supported by archaeological evidences and foreign notices.

Criticisms and suggestions are invited from readers about the contents of this web site including the dates of the individual historic events. All such correspondence is welcome.

An Open Letter To The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu – Sell Pickle & Side Dishes Through Amma Canteens i.indiaopines.com

Respected Madam Chief Minister

The TASMAC shops that dot Tamil Nadu have contributed enormously to the revenues of the state. These shops also provide a cost effective way for men across Tamil Nadu to forget their sorrows after a hard day of sleeping around, playing cards, and gossiping. Most importantly, the alcohol sold through TASMAC allows our men to forget their meddlesome, quarrelsome wives and pesky children. Thanks to the Government’s scheme to provide TV, cellphone, grinder, gold for marriage, laptops, and in many instances cold, hard cash, men are no longer required to behave responsibly and spend all the money they earn on TASMAC which in turn directly helps the state.

In light of the above advantages of TASMAC shops, I urge your Government to consider selling low-cost pickle packets, bajjis, fried snack items like murukku or any other traditional snack through Amma canteens. In the absence of cheap side dishes, our men are relying on roadside shops that sell adulterated snacks. Consuming adulterated snacks can damage their liver and over a period of time, can cause premature death. This idea will also help preserve the age-old recipes of traditional snacks and prevent people from getting addicted to pizzas, donuts, and burgers.

One final suggestion. It would help to integrate all TASMAC shops with Amma canteens so that drunk men can easily buy snacks from the adjacent Amma canteens before they rest by the roadside. Once they regain consciousness, they can buy some healthy meal from the canteens as well.

An open letter on prohibition to the respected Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu i.indiaopines.com

To,
The respected Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

Subject: Beer will help our state

Madam,

The recent elections in our state saw most of the parties, including yours, promising to bring in prohibition. This is a brave decision, as it will reduce the state’s revenue by a big chunk. As a drinker myself, I’m not personally delighted by this promise either.

However, the problems faced by families of alcoholics are real, and cannot be ignored by those who want to have a good time. There are too many horrific reports of beatings and rape by drunken men of their own family members.

Some people say it is all about drinking responsibly. But I highly doubt that a poor construction worker who has an aching body at the end of a day’s work cares much for the concept of moderation.

Here is a proposal that will satisfy all parties, while maintaining the state’s revenue –

Permit beer to be the only alcohol sold in the state.

Typically, most cases of drunken rage and abuse stem from a person making a quick stop at a TASMAC and slamming down a half bottle in a few gulps. With beer, it is almost impossible to get so inebriated in such a short time. It calls for serious dedication of time, which most tipplers will be unable to provide.

The sheer volume of beer acts as a brake to uncontrolled inebriation, as a person’s stomach capacity is a bottleneck.

If a person tries to compensate by chugging strong beer very quickly, they will end up disgorging their stomach’s contents, and end up sober again. Experiments with dubious beers such as Black Pearl, Haywards and Vorion have conformed this.

Furthermore, as has been argued by many of my fellow drinkers, blanket prohibition will lead to spurious alcohol, blindness, dementia and many deaths. Although I cannot say this is better or worse than drinking Black Pearl beer.

A look at India’s history shows that we have a long and storied past of brewed beverages. They are an inseparable and glorious part of our heritage, as much as our temples and our literature. It is only after distilled alcohol was brought in by the colonial powers that we have begun to face ill effects.

In addition, prohibition will lead to the loss of many jobs in our state in many sectors. We will see a sharp decline in tourism, when we are already losing ground to our neighbouring states.

Allowing sale of beer will ensure that the state continues to generate revenue, while being responsible to the suffering families, and providing a harmless solution to the tipplers of Tamil Nadu.

I beseech you to consider this strategy which would satisfy all stakeholders. There will be the odd case of a drinker going overboard with beer, but it will be very rare.

Of course, there will be the necessity to install a number of public toilets to cater to the increase in beer drinkers. We need more of them in our state anyway, and I hope they will be built regardless of prohibition policy.

Respectfully yours,

A citizen

Friends,

The incidents of Dadri and Hamirpur- of a muslim men being beaten by bricks and iron rods to death on the suspicion that he might have consumed beef, and of a dalit elderly man beaten and burnt alive for trying to enter a temple, respectively, is a very grim reminder of the very high currents of communalist spirit taking space in our society.
It is a very very dangerous trend. We all must take note and fight our own battles against it before it comes to haunt us personally in some or the other way and we are left alone. Let’s unite!

Presenting ओ री दुनिया a masterpiece from Piyush Mishra to emphasize my point. The last para where he says even God says तुम्हारी है तुम ही सम्भालों ये दुनिया… when men starts distinguishing themselves between religions.

Rough english translation- (courtesy www.bollymeaning.com)

O world,
O dear world,
O world of cups of kohl-lined eyes (from which one can drink),
O world of rainbow-colored colors and Gulaals..

it’s a world of flowers decorating sleepy beds (for the wedding night),
it’s a world of lazy-stretching pigeon..
it’s a world of truth sleeping (calmly) by its side,
and a world of a temperament going mad..
it’s a world of needs wrapped with wishes,
it’s a world of humans’ dreams and their intentions..

World, o world,
what’s there (to celebrate) even if one gets this world..
what’s there even if one gets this world…
what’s there.. (there is nothing in this world that is worth)…

The world of stories of (mothers’) shredded love,
The world of sisters’ sobbing youth,
A world of the relation of Adam and Eve,
World of uninspiring words of poets..
The world of Ghalib and Momin’s dreams,
the world of those revolutions of poets like Majaz (Lakhnawi),
World of Faiz (Ahmed Faiz), Firaaq (Gorakhpuri), Sahir (Ludhiyanvi), Makhdoom (Mohiuddin), Mir (Taqi Mir), (Mohd Ibrahim) Zauq, and Daagh (Dehlvi)..
[All these were poets known for their revolutionary moods, in different times]

Within moments, things move on,
within moments, nights go (as in, everything goes in a matter of moments)
the one who remains, looks for the morning,
looks for a place to live in the burning house..

Save this world, whatever is remaining in here, as it is,
Think of it as your own, and pick it up (in your arms, to protect it),
(else) it’ll start burning in small-unimportant things, save this world,
it’ll be cut-bruised-beaten and will be living in nights (dark times), save this world…

O world, dear world,

They say that the world is not this much (only),
there are more world beyond the stars,
It’s not just us,
there is Someone Else too (talking of God here)
everything about us is decided there only,

(and) we don’t have an objection to that anywhere,
They’re knowledgeable, virtuous, would be correct too,

but this philisophy goes bad, when they say-
The Intelligent says there is Eeshwar (Hindu God)
The Virtuous says there is Allah,
The Perfect one says there is Jesus,
Then the destination says to the man,

that- this world is yours, you only take care of it!
This world of a few old, dying lamps,
world of your dark intentions…

BJP as an alternative to INC i.indiaopines.com

Article Details

I was too young (3 years old) to understand the ramifications of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) act of 1992 and how it changed the social fabric of India. This may be one reason why by 1997-98 I was a big fan of this party, it’s ideology and it’s pro-hindu stance. Yes I was not too old to properly comprehend it even then but we, in Bihar, does have more political and social conscience from very early age.
So I can understand those who are fan-boys of Narendra Modi (of whatever age), whose political conscience is new found, thus either not able to understand what happened in 2002 under his watch or it’s implication on our society.
But the similarity ends there… the BJP of 96 to 2004 or even later till Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani were in command, was a completely different party. It was a much independent party compared to the Jan Sangh days of being remote controlled by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh : RSS. Yes it depended on RSS but it’s social agenda of governance does not flow from RSS, neither was it remote controlled. Governance was owned by Atal ji and advised by Brajesh Mishra much to the chagrin of RSS. From being a extreme right party, Atal and Advani made BJP more of centre-right party with inclusive agenda and put aside all controversial issues. The pair of Atal & Advani further believed in empowerment and sharing power, thus leaders like Syed Shahnawaz Hussain was given prominence. Nitish Kumar was promoted in Bihar (even at the cost of BJP), Babulal Marandi in Jharkhand and BJP happily played second fiddle to Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, Naveen pattnaik in Odisha, etc. It was the era of inclusiveness and progress, so a Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna was for infrastructure development and at the same time Advani convinced Late Bal Thackeray to avoid anti-north indian rants, and so Shiv Sena spread to Bihar, UP, Delhi, etc. Thus, BJP (though had sins of ’92 and influence of RSS with it’s divious agenda of hate) was an able alternative to Indian National Congress.
But under Modi, the fan-boys should see that while he is on a personal campaign which may appeal to some of us but the social aspect of governance is completely dominated by RSS. There is no argument that we need credible and stable alternative to Congress but RSS can’t be that option. Just because we need that alternative, and there is none to fall back upon, and the deeds of Gujarat have only affected 20% of the population so most of us are not ‘that’ uncomfortable with Modi, and Modi’s antics have appealed to some of us who think it is ‘cool’, we must not take our eyes away from the agenda of RSS which will do us irrepairable damage. To safeguard our alternative, let us not start justifying RSS, for it will come back to haunt us. RSS agenda is not just harmful for the minority 20% of the population, but also the liberals who forms the majority of the remaining 80% of us. We may chose to live in oblivion but it will have grave ramifications.
BJP under Modi, and with social agenda being driven by RSS, just can’t be the alternative to Congress. It is a doom’s day invitation.

Dr. Ambedkar – The ultimate rebel i.indiaopines.com

Article Details

But the world owes much to rebels who would dare to argue in the face of the pontiff and insist that he is not infallible.

I do not care about the credit which every progressive society must give to its rebels. I shall be satisfied if I make the Hindus realize that they are the sick men of India, and that their sickness is causing danger to the health and happiness of other Indians.

B. R. AMBEDKAR – in the “annihilation of caste”

I have always been enamored by Dr. Ambedkar in particular, and to the ‘Dalit’ (or caste or social justice) movement in India. For I believe, any claim to our progress is un-founded till we work tirelessly to bring to better levels, people from every section of our society. Especially those who have been marginalized and discriminated against historically, we have bigger obligations to them and thus I am a big votary of ‘affirmative action’.

It is ironic if we look back at our past and compare our vision with those who comprise a big part of our society, say for e.g. the Dalits. The rule of Shiva ji, the champion of ‘Hindvi’ swaraj (rule of Hindus) and ‘Peshvai’ rule is a matter of great pride for Hindus by and large, but Dalits who have a recollection of their past would argue that the peshvai rule was of great torcher to them and they would prefer ‘now’ to the peshvai rule. We may argue for or against it, but certain truths are better to be accepted and rectified.
Note:- Except for Mauryan empire when the people from backward and marginalised section of society were given adequate voice, no ancient kingdom has worked for the upliftment of Dalits. Few exceptions are Mauryan empire, Lord Buddha, Ashoka post his conversion to Buddhism and in recent past Chhatrapati Shahu ji Maharaj, this has been supported by Dr. Ambedkar as well.

Hindu, before being a religion, is a society. And we must accept that we have leaps and bounds to climb before we argue we are the best or we are threatened by another religion. As long as caste system is prevalent and as long as enough affirmative action is not worked upon effectively, it is foolish to talk about our religion as ‘one’ and ‘all encompassing’.

Those who talk about uniting Hindus against any other religion must first spell out their agenda, through words and actions, about different sets of people within Hinduism.

Now to Dr. Ambedkar… how should we remember him!

He was the first and one of the very few, if not the only, mainstream Indian politician to have a PhD in Economics from London School of Economics. Add to that his research on the ‘caste system’ in India. He was someone who could openly label “Mahatma Gandhi” as a Hindu leader (in my opinion, rightly so and is a matter of pride. But see who all are we today considering as Hindu leaders, what lows have we come to) and challenge Gandhi for an open debate.

So is Dr. Ambedkar the icon, on whose birth and death anniversary people have to face traffic jams in all major cities, particularly in Mumbai and Pune. The young and upwardly youth who smirk and have opinion about the ‘blue’ bandwagon about the needless show of strength and idiocity.

And, he is someone who ensured the better future of these youths and young India by laying down its foundation through a marvelous constitution.

Or, he is the author of a copy and paste constitution, which is devoid of Indian (Hindu) tradition and cultural influence as is alleged by RSS (the ruling ideology of today).

Or, Dr. Ambedkar is the icon whose picture you would find at many places, particularly in the home of people belonging to a particular caste, being worshipped and considered a ‘God’, even when Dr. Ambedkar was dead against God worship as such.

To me Dr. Ambedkar was the ultimate rebel. So learned that he gave us a terrific constitution for which we can’t thank him enough, and so puritarian in his thoughts that he can’t get mainstream political success.

He will always be an enigma to me and I would sincerely like more people to research on him and learn from him… the lessons of humanity and social progress.

Kaushambhi MP Wins it for AU Students i.indiaopines.com

On July 1, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched  ‘Digital India’ programme and just two weeks later on July 2015, India celebrated its first World Youth Skills Day. These two programmes face a daunting challenge to revolutionize the very fabric of Indian society by expanding its horizons both in outlook and approach. The events also saw the unveiling of the “National Skill Development Mission” in India, which targets to train over 40 Crore Indian people in developing, enhancing, and polishing their skills to ensure they are not left behind in this increasingly globalized world of cut throat competition, and most importantly, to provide the youths a much needed opportunity to earn their livelihood with respect and confidence. Only time will tell the outcome of these magnanimous programmes being run by the BJP. But in order to ensure that PM Modi’s vision turns into a living reality, one can’t afford to ignore the pressing needs of the hour, which is to provide the underprivileged Indian youths, who are far removed from the digital world, an opportunity to get acquainted with the basic skills of using Internet. The bigger and larger dream can only be attained if we take one step at a time, and it is here that Vinod Sonkar, the sitting MP from Kaushambhi, needs to be whole heartedly congratulated for his far-fetched vision and also for battling it out all alone against the adamant authorities of the University of Allahabad, and forcing them to follow the MHRD Ministry’s instructions to conduct offline entrance test.

Vinod Sonkar is a politician who not only understands youths’ demands, but also supports their good cause. He is a hyperactive politician. It was Sonkar along with Keshav Prasad Maurya, who had played active role in showing the former VC of AU, the exit gate. Vinod Sonkar has struck again this time. The MP is completely correct in supporting the students’ cause because most of the students appearing in the online entrance test come from rural background where even the basic amenities like roads and electricity do not exist, forget about learning internet. The University witnessed much hullaballoo during the last few weeks over this soaring issue, but congratulations to Vinod Sonkar for taking this matter head on and winning the agitated students’ trust. Let the youth be given a chance to acquire some basic skills of the digital world. Probably, the Kaushambhi MP, Vinod Sonkar is cognizant of the fact that Rome was not built in a day, in the same way, we can’t digitalize such a big country like India in seven-eight months. Allow the Central Government to work on these schemes for a longer period of time, and positive results will ensue.

Dear Prime Minister Modiji,

There is very little chance that this appeal of an ordinary citizen, a very ordinary indeed, will reach you.  There is even less chance of you getting time to read this appeal and absolutely no chance of its making any impact. Nevertheless, as a senior citizen, as one who expects you to do what no other Prime Minister could do in India, I consider it my duty to convey to you what I think is in the interest of the country and in your own interest.

The above mentioned stratagem which has been said and applied practically by many politicians and philosophers is the one which we must currently adhere to.
The Indian express on 25.4.16 reported “ Days after China raised objections to India issuing a visa to Germany-based Uighur leader Dolkun Isa to visit Dharamsala for a conference later this month, New Delhi withdrew the visa Monday, leaving several red faces in the government.”
The hindustan times as well on 28.4.16 reported ” India has withdrawn visas granted to two well-known Chinese dissidents, Lu Jinghua and Ray Wong, who were set to attend a China-focused conference on democracy in Dharamsala.”
This flip-flip does not sound good from a govt which is looked upon to be decisive and consistent in its policies especially on the foreign policy front which is supposed to be its star. Why is it that sometimes we Indians misplace our sense for bravado? Why is that sensationalism gets over us whenever China vetoes our proposals to sanction Pakistani-based terrorist organizations? Why is it that we are shocked whenever China decides to defend Pakistan instead of berating it?.The answer lies in the simple fact that China sees Pakistan as a card to play against us so as to stop us from reaching on par with them or even higher than them. They see us as a potential nuisance which must be kept busy by the like of Pakistan.
When the chinese vetoed our proposal to sanction masood azhar which was infact supported by 15 other nations as well we were right in criticizing them in public as well as in private when Def min,Foreign min as well as the NSA met their respective counterparts.
But
When the Indian govt extended the visa to Dolkun Isa to visit dharmashala only to revoke it we had a serious loss of face.Extending a visa to him was an extremely miscalculated step which could have led to larger confrontation with china.China may invite Indian dissidents to speak against us on chinese soil because they are much more powerful than us economically as well as militarily and if we go at the UN shouting against it no one is going to care because china is not the china of mao’s era where it was near to 0 in every field but today it is almost a superpower equivalent to the US and the US also sees to it that it does not upset the Chinese far too much.
We need to learn from the chinese the art of confusing, puzzling communication and deception. The chinese are the masters of it.When everybody thought that china’s rise would be peaceful and it would not attempt to challenge the status quo, everyone was bewildered when it lay claim to the whole of south china sea the west and south east asia were stupefied and hence the myth of china’s peaceful rise was busted.
We need to adopt the saying of deng xiaoping- Keep a cool head and maintain a low profile. Never take the lead – but aim to do something big.

It is necessary for us to keep a low-profile as of now and not to indulge in too many geo-political surprises but when our time comes we must shed the robe of cowardliness and show our true and new avatar which must depict boldness and balance.

banks today stand at 9000 Cr INR of debt (courtesy: kingfisher airlines).

Add to this, the amount he owed to Tax departments, employees, etc and you have enough money to feed an entire country in Africa.

So who will now pay for all the follies of Mr. Mallya ?

The buck needs to stop at someone.

BRILLIANT SPEECH MR. ANUPAM KHER

The Congress/Left propaganda machine which runs on the fuel of lies, innuendo, suggestions and half-truths to malign their opponent -in-chief, Narendra modi, has discovered a shiny new nut in Kanhaiya. The political opposition were handed out a pasting as never before in the hustings and have been clutching at straws to discredit the BJP and Modi in particular ever since. If Akhlaq is killed-Modi did it, if Manhaiya commits suicide, Modi did it, if 2016 is a leap year-maybe Modi did that too.

The Left has been confined to the dustbins of global history long back but the stink still pervades here in Hindustan. However, the proppping of kanhaiya was well demonished-not by a political heavyweight- but by a film star Anupam Kher. Kher’s video has gone viral while many other distinguished speakers also spoke their piece. This is because the truth carries so much weight that the conviction of the speaker is good enough to demolish opponents of far greater oratory skills and craft as we saw.

It is a sad time when politicians flock to feed on the carcass of a putrid opportunity even if it is served on a platter of anti-india and even terrorist bread. No one noticed that when the soldier Hanumanthappa who froze in Siachen and was dying in a hospital our PM no less, found time to visit him leaving all else behind before he finally lost his battle with death. However, the likes of Barkha Dutt and other channels scarcely found time to cover the story and applaud the gesture with half of the enthusiasm with which they relish issues aimed to defame Modi. However, when Kanhaiya, chastened from a hammering outside court and some pretty strict finger wagging from the judge who granted bail, spoke some sanitized crap the channels flocked to get his wise words.

Anupam Kher has spoken the mind of right thinking, balanced and logical Indians and articulated the collective sentiment with rare aplomb. That is why Barkha bhi chhane ki koshish mein mooh ke bl giri. His take on Rahul was a bit too sharp though. If he were a politician, it would not be acceptable but since he isn’t, his opinion passes muster to my mind.

An Open Letter to Mr.Kanhiya , President JNU, Accused of sedition Charges.

Dear Kanhiya,

Welcome Back out of Tihar!. Just to remind you that You have been granted interim bail for Six months as per our constitution that you have Right to live or Right to Freedom.
First and Primarily, I do not buy your idea of Azadi (Freedom) ….even though you have been named as best Orator or Your Ph.d skills have made you to say a line in many ways.. You want Freedom in India…..Not from India….Azadi from System….so ….so etc. It may be sweet for many but for me it is just a dramatic version of yours to cover up, sway the real things happened in JNU, the other day.
I recall the Discourse from Osho, ” A Leader is nothing but a clever man. He closely watches where the crowd is heading towards. He simply rushes and starts moving ahead of crowd”.
Maybe you are getting what I mean.
Maybe your hidden desire is getting revealed. I throw some light more for your clarity
Another Discourse by Osho , “The basic desire to be a leader arises in people who are suffering from an inferiority complex. It does not matter whether they move into the political world or into the religious world; the will-to-power is an absolute indication that the man feels himself inferior to others and he wants to prove to the world that it is not so.
It is not only a question of proving to the world; through the world he wants to prove it to himself too, that he is not inferior to anybody. The only way mind can manage it is to make everybody inferior to you”
I think we are catching up now.
Can we discuss you latest excerpts from the so called heroic and electrifying speeches:-

1. You said ,” We have unstinting faith in the constitution of this country, the laws of this country and the judicial process of this country” But I am pretty sure that you didn’t read the 23 page Bail Order by Ld. Justice Pratibha Rani, as you was in hurry to give your pent- up electrifying Speech outside the JNU administration Hall. Nevertheless to mention, you arrived in Fortuner Toyota not to miss you dashing comeback.

2. You talked about false promises being delivered by Political Parties. Kanhiya, you said , We will win this fight ( I think this is not a promise or you can say this is a real promise)

3. You motto, Freedom from this, freedom from that etc. etc. I will not buy your freedom motto because I think I will curse Our Country’s freedom fighters if I even compare a speck of you with them.

4. The videos may be doctored but what’s happening in JNU is under your nose Brother. Take the responsibility…you weak shouldered. You boast of bringing change but do not want to take responsibility…very ,very contrary. If something is happening in my jurisdiction, by default I am accountable. You can easily be a complainant against who done this ..who shouted slogans…who doctored videos….who defamed JNU…..but that all requires a Responsibilty towards your university…towards your Nation. President ship is not an easy task…isn’t it.

5. Counting Condoms or Booze Bottles:- If it is not the truth or something wrongly has been said to malign JNU or your petty ego…why don’t you go for defamation suit against the BJP MLA. I know you have faith in Indian Judiciary. I will term your inaction as your probable acceptance.

6. Some may be feeling your comeback as a Olympic Gold medalist for India but this is just a bail with a note and advise from Learned Justice. Go through it . It has many things to learn.

Lastly, I think you have studied extensively during your research and lost some sleep and there is probably some imbalances with your thoughts. Brother, You definitely need a break to recuperate your senses and to find your inner self . My honest advice is to keep silent for few days (Our India has so many beautiful and
lonely places where you can find your inner peace)….and yes, please don’t worry about system. It will take care of itself.
A final piece of advice: – If you wish for it….Work for it. (Within the Law of the Land …of Course).

The objectionable and provocative slogans shouted during a course of rally on the JNU campus Is deeply condemned. But while everyone is busy  blaming JNU of harboring anti-national agendas, the so called nationalists are using the word ‘nationalism’ to wrap the disgraceful acts of violence and rage. The lawyers call themselves nationalists and patriot while they beat everyone they feel are antinational. JNUSU leader Kanhaiya Kumar, despite the instructions from the SC to ensure his safety, was thrashed, and abused in front of Delhi’s Patiala House court. Journalists and students were also beaten up for a reason unclear. These acts of so called nationalism, but in fact hooliganism has not only dishonored their oath but has made India hang its head in shame in front of the whole world. And while Delhi is being turned into a war zone of the so called national and antinational, no one really noticing that it is actually violent patriots who are violating and mocking the Indian constitution and not the silent protesters of JNU student community!

If the lawyers – the ‘officers of law’ had had so much of the grudges on the JNUSU leader kanhaiya kumar, then why not, being the pallbearers of justice, bring about justice by proving him guilty and by following the procedures of Indian penal code of justice. Don’t they have enough proofs? Or are they themselves nonbeliever of penal code? These acts of violence shows their impotency to bring about justice, as they try establish Indian constitution as a poster you spit your tobacco upon.

The clear cut distinction between nationalism and violence is deliberately being decayed into one shameful act of violence and chaos by political and radical leaders like OP Sharma and Sakshi Maharaj, who say traitors deserve to be hanged or shot, giving a verdict of their own before the court session has even started. Why go to court! Let’s hang a big placard on the courts doors saying “out for justice”, and kill everyone you feel like! It seems that some leaders have forgot that this is not Taliban, but India. And their agenda of violence is initiating great deal of public unrest all over the nation. And those who are following these agendas, and who think they can only become patriots by abusing and beating and kicking anti-nationals should rather march over to the POK and show their anger on the border fields, and not show your guts by beating journalists and students. Proud to be an Indian? Trying being human first, because it’s the land of great peoples and not hoodlums.

I disapprove anti nationalism, but I also disapprove violence on the name of nationalism. To the lawyers, I plead, to maintain the decorum of your job, and dignity of the country. Don’t make us feel shame. Please don’t.

Why Women Manage Household Finances Better than Men?

By A/Professor Nattavud Pimpa

Laos women

Financial management in the household is related to gender issues.

As a principle investigator of a research project on mining and equitable employment by women in two Mekong countries (Lao PDR and Thailand), I spent months in both countries and had learnt various aspects of women and financial management issues.

Although the project aims to investigate consequences of international mining industry on gender, we learn various interesting issues on how women in both countries manage their household finances.

Laos Women

In general, women may not earn as much as men in extractive industry, due to physical and mental limitations from the industry and/or themselves. However, we learn that men from both countries tend to allow their wives to manage the household finances. The interviews with 75 Lao men and women and 54 Thais show some following interesting points:

1)    – Women comprehend financial focus better than men: Most women whom we interviewed can easily convey their financial ideas. Most of them are clear about short and long terms expenditures. They always plan for expenditures on food, health and well-being, and education for kids. They know how and what to prioritize when it comes to finance for family.

2)  –  Women network better than men: I do not generalize this point to the entire population. In the rural communities in Laos and Thailand where we located this research project, we learn that women understand the nature of their community and can connect with other men and women better than their male counterparts. Most networks started informally and subsequently transformed into entrepreneurial culture. In Laos, for example, the focus on food supply chain for the mining corporations and community is a great example of how women can earn extra incomes and become community leaders by networking among each others.

3)   – Women’s approaches in finance are different from men: When we examine several microfinance ideas and actions in both communities, we realize that women tend to focus on long-term strategies than their male family members. Almost all women from this study tend to focus on income generation activities that can involve all family and community members, whilst men tend to focus on individual or self-development. For instance, in Thailand, men prefer to spend money on their own farm, land development, and entertainment (including alcohol and gambling), women prefer to spend money on investment for family, group education and training, and food for the family.

4)    –Bread wining women involve directly in most family decision-making: Along with earning more, women are also taking control of their family’s finances. They focus on paying bills, voice their opinion on purchasing decision making for family. It is true that women who out-earn their husbands are more likely to involve in all aspects of family decision-making such as education for kids, investment, saving, and purchasing of land or car. The joint decision-making process among men and women can lead to optimal results among family members.

The major obstacles in involving women in the family financial decision making in the mining community include traditional male-dominated ideology in the community, stigmatization of women as passive and incompetent, and myths about women’s ability to manage resources. These points lead to the conclusion that it is important to include women in the management of household finances.

The joint decisions about managing personal finance is to ensure that both men and women take a personal responsibility at every stage of money management and that communication is key to successful planning now and the future.

CPI and its anti-india activities. i.indiaopines.com

Article Details

If you watch or read news and newspapers regularly you would be able to figure what is happening or dominating it i.e JNU students seditious activities.Though I have always disliked the left but this turns my dis-likeliness for the left to hatred after they chanted slogans such Bharat ki barbadi and what not. This is not the first time that the left-leaning parties have engaged in anti-national and anti-India activities they have set too for many precedents let me list a few of them. Most famous in the list of this innumerable anti-India activities is that of 1962 Indo-china war and the freedom struggle.
1.1962 war:-
Here are some of the excerpts from the declassified CIA files on how the left sided with china and wish for India’s defeat.
1.1.On the 28th, Nehru for the first time made a statement in Parliament substantiating the press r e p o r t s of such Chinese incursions and armed clashes . This statement inflamed Indian public opinion; according to a private comment that day by the chief of the Communist Indian Press Agency, it confused and staggered the party members. During the next two days the CPI Central Secretariat, minus Ghosh, held an emergency meeting on the problem, following which the party issued the first in what was to be a long and varied series of statements on the border, a vague declaration glossing over the question of border violations, holding (as the Chinese were to do) that the entire border has never been defined, making no mention of the MacMahonline , and urgently calling for negotiations. The CPI subsequently came under wide public attack as a result of its failure in this statement to take a clear-cut stand supporting the Indian government position.
1.2.“In Feb 1958 an official of the Soviet Embassy contacted CPI Leaders to renew the request to setup an underground organization. While Ajoy Ghosh refused, HK Surjeet and others privately decided that Ghosh was taking a complacent line and decided to reach out to the CPSU outside of party channels. The CPI did proceed to recruit a secret organization within the Indian Army. In February 1959, Ajoy Ghosh in his report to the Central Executive Committee that China Russia insisted that the CPI must develop a standby apparatus capable of armed resistance, while intensifying penetration of Indian Military forces. In the September Central Executive Committee meeting Ajoy Ghosh argued against the tendency to welcome Chinese military presence on Indian borders to justify a new militant line for the CPI. This was rejected by the hard left who argued that with the PLA now present along the Indian Border the Indian Party had a channel of support for Armed Operations and a potential liberator in the event of mass uprisings.”
1.3.The left – faction members of the CPI Central Secretariat–Ranadive, Bhupesh Gupta, and particularly Basavapunniah–became increasingly active late in 1959 in promoting the line given them in Peiping throughout the CPI. In mid-November, Basavapunniah was reported by two sources to have repeated,to a meeting of CPI leaders concerned with creating an underground organization, his belief that the CPI lack of a contiguous foreign supply base during the Telengana revolt had now been remedied with the Chinese occupation of Tibet and other frontier areas. In late December he was said to have reiterated to a meeting of the Maharasha State Council Mao’s statement to Ghosh that Tibet, Sikkim, Bhutan, and the Northwest Frontier Agency are provinces peopled by the same race, that China had a historic right to these territories, that the MacMahone line was not valid , and that the Indian government’s raising of “the bogey of Chinese aggression” had resulted from its realization that Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and India would be deeply affected by the social and economic revolution in Tibet.
2.Karname during the freedom struggle:-
Here, in I have pulled out the facts from their own(CPI) archives about how they blundered during the 1942 quit anti-india movement.
Consistent with the one-sided and erroneous People’s War line, the party opposed the Quit India Movement (QIM) in 1942. Here it is necessary to note that this movement was not intended for a real headlong clash with the Raj, but as a pressure-tactic to persuade the latter, already threatened by the advancing Japanese, to negotiate transfer of power to the exclusion of the Muslim League. This is why, in the words of Nehru in Discovery Of India, “neither he [Gandhi-A.S.] nor the CWC issued any kind of directives…” and made “no arrangements for the functioning of the Congress after they had been removed from the scene”. According to S. Gopal, the biographer of Jawaharlal Nehru, “It was almost as if the Working Committee wished to escape to prison and to avoid decision” at the crucial hour. But after the arrest of Gandhi and others, precisely because there was no leader left free to check the spontaneous popular upsurge, soon the QIM became, in the words of Lord Linlithgow, “by far the most serious rebellion since that of 1857, the gravity and extent of which we have so far concealed from the world for reasons of military security” (Cable to Churchill). From behind the bars, of course, MK Gandhi repeatedly condemned the ‘violence’, asked the militants including Congressmen to “surrender to the police” and continued the efforts to restore goodwill with the Raj through emissaries like GD Birla. Both the Muslim League and the RSS-Hindu Mahasabha (HM) denounced the movement in most savage terms, with leaders of the HM such as Shymaprasad Mukherjee, participating in the repression as members of provincial ministries.”
Whatever the role of Gandhi and others, the CPI no doubt committed a major mistake by opposing the QIM. As the Second Party Congress held in February 1948 pointed out, “This total underestimation of the role of imperialism in the period of People’s War made us lose sight of the task of exposing imperialism and fighting it within the framework of support for anti-fascist war”.
As you can for yourself see how Seditious have been the nature of the activities of these leftist thugs. It is necessary that the tree of the lifetist ideology be completely burned from its root to the topmost leaf.

Indianisation of British system of parliamentary democracy plus.google.com

During debates in the Constituent Assembly on the system of government the country would adopt, the chief architects of the Constitution made it abundantly clear that though the term ‘parliamentary democracy’ was not mentioned in the Constitution,  they were adopting the British parliamentary system of democracy (also known as the Westminster model) and expected that healthy conventions that developed in Britain to ensure the smooth functioning of the unwritten constitution there would also develop in India to take care of what was not put in black and white.

Despite the best intentions of the chief architects of our Constitution, our political leaders including those who were members of the Constituent Assembly decided to  Indianise the British model. Over the years our parliamentary democracy has developed its unique features which are unthinkable in Britain and the founding fathers of our constitutional could not have imagined even in their wildest dream.

Nationalists are persons who by virtue of the sincerity of the feeling they have for humanity at large are able to turn their activities to the betterment of their more familiar and near surroundings that their nation represents, including its defence against any destructive or harmful threat; but, in the same breath, are also able to connect with a warm heart with the global humanity at large.

Nationalism & internationalism – far from having any mutual contradictions – strongly merge and flow into each other.

Both as a matter of working and thinking of principles of natural justice as also the reading of human history – both not removed from each other; the concept of secularism seems eminently justified and worthy of entire support.

And secularism is not a concept borrowed from the west. The propaganda that secularism is a concept borrowed from the west has to be shred apart. Secularism, very much to the contrary, is rooted in Indian thought from the very ancient times and has been poised and reflected in the most prestigious repositories of such thought, belief, culture and practice.

India & Iran Relations i.indiaopines.com

India and Iran have been bound together for centuries until 1947 when the partition led to weakening of a direct link between India and Iran(infact Irans’s first supreme leader had roots in India).India and Iran have been some of the cradles of world civilzation and are now striving to get it back and to stamp their own authority over the world after years of isolation(Iran just got itself off from isolation). Both are aspiring powers-to-be and wish to play a more dominant and stronger role in world politics as the balance of powers shifts itself from West to Asia, Iran is an important player for India to look after in the unstable region of west asia.Iran after israel are the “2I’s” with which we need to maintain close and strong relations.Iran again after israel is the only true democracy in west asia and though ruled by an Islamic theocracy is much more advanced and modern than Pakistan and Saudi arabia. My admiration for that country is very high since it is the only nation in WA that has been able to manage religion and politics extremely efficiently despite many ups and downs.
Recently Sanctions on Iran were lifted after almost a decade of economic isolation by the west and some asian nations.Iran presents a great opportunity for India, after the lifting of sanctions it has become a magnet for investments and business opportunities, we must not lose this opportunity for it would prove be too disastrous if we don’t have the first mover advantage.
Iran has great strategic value for it is the only country apart form Afghanistan which will help us “Connect Central asia” and who can forget the port of chabahar its placing just at the mouth of gulf oman makes it a vital choke-point for various supplies notably oil and antural gas but as you know we have been sluggish to respond to such lucrative offers. The Chabahar port deal was signed way back in 2003 and again an MOU was signed in 2015 by Nitin Gadkari who went personally to Iran to do the honors but as of today we have not yet taken control of the land which is supposed to be developed as a port-land at chabahar whereas our arch-rival China has moved at a fast pace to acquire land at gwadar to transform it into a port-city, I hope the same fate does not befall Chabahr as that of hambantota(hambantota is a port to south of sri-lanka which was intially offered to us to develop as a port but we kept on dragging ourselves over it and ultimately the lankans got frustrated and handed it over to the chinese-this is mentioned in Shashi tharoor’s book “Pax Indica”).Also China has finished the formalities to build a naval base at djibouti again a vital choke-point for its so-called anti-piracy operations.

Iran can also satisfy our increasing appetite for oil and natural gas. There have been reports of developing a turkmenistan-iran-india gas pipeline but nothing has been official again.Iran is money-hungry and it will not wait for us to invest in its nascent economy.Apart from energy we can diversify our relations into various other sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, agriculture and IT.
A special desk must be created to look only and only after Iran related activites & special priority must be accorded to our relations with that nation as China has already made huge forays into Iran and we stand nowhere to compete with it.There are also chances that we may lose the Farzad-B gasfield which was originally discovered by us but again due to our foot-dragging in an auction. With its emergence from isolation many western nations and companies will seek to invest it in and we will lose the business advantage which we had during the time when sanction were still imposed on Iran and it treated us like a special friend, there is now increasing displeasure in Iran over our delaying tactics and it doesn’t sound good.
While dealing with Iran we need to keep in the mind the slogan of Vivekanand-

Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached

This inequality needs to be combated and it is possible to do so in a practical and reasonable manner.

On one side is extreme privatisation promoted by capitalists and on the other side lay extreme state monopoly advocated by communists. In between, however, there is space for public and private sector participation which would still place money in the hands of the government instead of all of it going to top business houses, which money would be possible to be put to the betterment of the deprived sections.

Maruti India had started out as a government-suzuki participation and did well. Why can’t such examples be increased ?

Etiquette, according to Oxford Dictionary, is the customary code of polite behaviour in society or among members of a particular profession or group. Be strictly professional while sending your emails. It is important how you use your official email id. Avoid sending jokes, chain letters, forwards or any other unofficial mail to your co-workers or friends. Your activities are continuously monitored and professionalism is expected out of you.

The subject field is the window to your email and it helps receiver determine that if your mail is worthy of his or her time. Try to keep the subject of your email short, crisp and to the point. It should clearly depict the purpose behind your mail. Avoid typos, all caps or all small case; it gives an impression of unprofessionalism.

Do not forget to use Hello, Hi, Good Day, Thank you, Sincerely, Best Regards in your mails. All these intros and sign offs are basic staples of professional business e-mail communications. Always include a salutation and sign-off that includes your name with every e-mail you send.

The question now – occupying considerable public debate and discussion in the aftermath of the Pathankot terrorist attack – is what should be India’s reaction and policy towards Pakistan now?

Quite a few from the Indian citizenry seem to be in favour of undertaking military action against Pakistan; while another quarter would like the peace initiative to grow.

Those who are dreaming PM post must understand that till you not thinking about the country and prove yourself in states –  you do not qualify even in dreams. As those who are barking on Modi must be aware that when Modi Govt would choose to attack on terrorist camps within pakistan these so called secular parties and leaders and journalist media channels would knee down becoz of their minority vote banks.

If they are keen to fight these terrorist attacks – they must give memorandum duly signed and permission to President and PM that they will abide by all the consequences of these attack. as earlier during Atal Ji regime these so called secular parties and leaders has sucked their words and didn’t allow Atal ji to take revenge of Kargil war.

Congress and SP, Laloo has made jokes of Atalji in baised and in corrupt media 24/7. Modi ji you must take memorandum from all the party leader duly signed and with permission to attack on terrorist camp in Pakistan. So that they can not deny later on becoz of vote bank politics.

National Security Guards (NSG) is supposedly the outfit with particular specialisation for counter-terrorist operations. How does NSG keep itself abreast of the latest techniques, strategies, trainings, weaponry and devices at global level?

NSG is headed by the director-general, who comes from the IPS. The average tenure of all the director-generals of NSG has been just over a year. None of these director-generals heading the NSG & coming from the IPS have ever been a part of any action group of the NSG. Are such heads of the NSG the right persons to lead premier counter-terrorist outfits then?

“Surprise” Visit Of Modi to Pakistan! i.indiaopines.com

Today (25 Dec, 2015), Modi is in Pakistan to meet Nawaz Sharif, en-route to India from Afghanistan. This has come from his twit as a ‘surprise’! Incidentally, the foreign officials have been meeting in 3rd countries quietly. This was followed by Shushama Swaraj’s visit!

What has spurted these gestures to our arch enemy, whom same people, while in opposition, threatened to destroy? Even RSS called Pak as younger brother and when on an official visit, LK Advani had praised MA Jinna!

Its not that the previous government of Congress was against such visits, while they were in government, but now they are criticising Modi! Nawaz Sharif, on his part, has advised his leaders to talk minimum against India!!

Not out of context to point out Shiv Sena and few other regional parties, who survive on “agriculture of hatred” between various religions and national chauvinism, shout at top of their voice against Cricket tournaments between the two countries and even send some paid goons to create chaos in these functions and our law is incapacitated against them!

Yes, there is business interest of Adani in Pakistan, even though we are with limited electricity, wants to supply and the gas pipeline from Iran or Turkmenistan, via Pakistan to India is good proposition, but that talk is since long! The firing across the boarder is with full vigour and soldiers of both countries are dying at regular interval!

Has everything changed, just because Modi is PM now? Or is there something more to it? Is USA behind such moves? Is this part of a bigger plot, geo-politics, bringing Pak from China nexus into that of Indo-USA-Japan-NATO one to surround China?

Are we a simple puppets in hands of imperialism economically (FDI), politically (Nepal policy), militarily? Do the working class, peasants understand this or busy in day to day survival management and even beyond ‘our’ grasp, as it is the job of our rulers to take care of our foreign policy?

Judges’ appointment: President’s holds the upper hand i.indiaopines.com

Judges’ appointment:

President’s holds

the upper hand

By Vivek Sharma

There is no need to dissociate consultation from consent as far constitutional technicalities are concerned. In a democratic set- up, consultation is necessarily a process to reach consent. In that light, some bloggers have erroneously synonymised consent with permission or approval in connection with the Article 124 (2) of the constitution.

Consultation and consent are part of a cohesive, participative process to reach an indisputable agreement on an issue. As far as the above article is concerned, the President is the final authority of judges’ appointment despite the fact that he is required to hold consultations with the chief justice of India in such matters. Here consultation is the process of discussing the background, qualification and leanings of a judge with the chief justice of India and not to seek his consent! It is a matter of common sense that the President wouldn’t know how competent and technically qualified is a person nominated for appointment as a judge and hence he holds consultation with the chief justice of India. The latter in turn provides him with the required inputs about the persons concerned. Of course, technically the CJI plays the role of an adviser in such issues and not a dictating administrator. However, as the  article 124(2) of the constitution clearly gives the President an upper hand in the matters of judges’ appointment, he can turn down any suggestion by the CJI if he is not convinced. That is what gives him more constitutional powers than the CJI.

Article 124 (2) says:

Every Judge of the Supreme Court shall be appointed by the President by warrant under his hand and seal after consultation with such of the Judges of the Supreme Court and of the High Courts in the States as the President may deem necessary for the purpose and shall hold office until he attains the age of sixty five years: Provided that in the case of appointment of a Judge other than the chief Justice, the chief Justice of India shall always be consulted:

It is clear from the constitutional fathers’ language that the judges will be appointed by the President. This is the primary statement. The secondary statement, or the clause, as we call it, in a way gives a direction to the President as to how he shall go about it—through consultation with the CJI.

You may consult a doctor and seek his advice about a treatment of an ailment. But, you retain the choice of rejecting it if you find it against common prudence. This power of rejection comes inbuilt for the President, who is the highest executive authority in India. Anybody who has the power of rejection, has more say in a matter than the advisers. In the President’s case, the CJI is no better than an adviser who gives a number of option to the President. Jurisprudence says the higher the options, the higher shall have the power of rejection.  On the other way round, the limited options reduces the power accordingly. However, in the case of few options, the President can ask for more names in order to exercise his power of rejection. Consent is a consequent of consultations with the CJI, who goes to the President with options.

The National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC) Act was rejected by a constitutional bench on October 15 as it amounted to weaken the constitutional power of the President and hence the 99th Constitution Amendment Act was struck down. Constitutional amendments are meant to clarify the application of an Article and turn it redundant.

Arvind Kejriwal the politician comes out in his true colour

Delhi Chief Minister’s outburst against Prime Minister Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitely in a highly abusive language after his Principal Secretary was raided by the CBI, reminds me of a folk tale (with some modification I will mention later), perhaps one of the Akbar-Birbal stories, I had heard in my childhood and I am sure several readers also must have heard. The story is that a very learned person came to spend some time in the emperor’s court. He could converse in several languages so naturally that nobody was able to find out his mother tongue. Birbal offered to solve the mystery. One day while engaging the scholar in intense conversation, Birbal pushed him fromstaircase. The scholar fell down and got hurt. In a fit of anger, he started abusing Birbal in his mother tongue.

Is Our Universe a Fake? raunak3195.blogspot.in

I began bemused. The notion that humanity might be living in an artificial reality — a simulated universe — seemed sophomoric, at best science fiction.

But speaking with scientists and philosophers on “Closer to Truth,” I realized that the notion that everything humans see and know is a gigantic computer game of sorts, the creation of supersmart hackers existing somewhere else, is not a joke. Exploring a “whole-world simulation,” I discovered, is a deep probe of reality.

David Brin, sci-fi writer and space scientist, relates the Chinese parable of an emperor dreaming that he was a butterfly dreaming that he was an emperor. In contemporary versions, Brin said, it may be the year 2050 and people are living in a computer simulation of what life was like in the early 21st century — or it may be billions of years from now, and people are in a simulation of what primitive planets and people were once like.

Should Rarest of Rare doctrine be abolished? www.livelaw.in

Recently, again an accused is awarded a death sentence by a Mumbai Sessions Court “for raping and killing the techie, under IPC Section 302 (murder), Section 376 (rape) and Section 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence)”[1]; terming it as the ‘rarest of rare’ cases. I am unable to understand the exact application of what the ‘Rarest of Rare’ doctrine is and how it is applied each time. The doctrine ‘Rarest of Rare’ was first articulated in 1980 in the Bachan Singh case. Then in 2008, the Supreme Court judges, in the Prajeet Kumar Singh

vs. State of Bihar, had ruled exactly on what would a rarest of rare case constitute. Court said that a death sentence would be awarded only, “when a murder is committed in an extremely brutal, grotesque, diabolical, revolting or dastardly manner so as to arouse intense and extreme indignation of the community”. There is no statutory definition of what rarest of rare means but the controversy to this doctrine arises each time the Court awards death penalty and the debates go on and on. There are a number of cases in which the crime is same but the punishment differs. There are judgments in which the accused has committed either rape or murder and has been awarded death penalty but also there are cases in which the accused has committed rape as well as murder but then also he has not been awarded death penalty. It is hard for me to find out what led to the variation in punishment in such cases. Is it the ‘Crime’ or the ‘Criminal’ or the ‘Judge’? Bachan Singh considered all the circumstances relating both to the criminal and the crime, whereas Machhi Singh vs. State of Punjab focused only on the crime and not the criminal. What makes the Judge to decide whether the case falls within the rarest of rare case? Does the age of the victim cold be a deciding factor to make such categorisation of sentence or not? Because in one case the Bombay High Court confirmed a double-life and double-death sentence for rape and murder of a 2 year old girl; whereas in Mohd. Chaman vs. State (NCT of Delhi), the Supreme Court commuted the death sentence for rape and murder of a 1 year and 6 months old girl to life sentence. Also there are different assumptions of this doctrine as to when the collective conscience of society is shocked; which differs from judge to judge.

I do not want to go into the issue under Article 21 that, “Does death penalty violates the fundamental right of ‘Right to Life”? The judgments relating to Arbitrariness in sentencing the person to life imprisonment or to death sentence in similar crimes is, according to me, violating the Right to equal protection of the laws guaranteed under Article 14 of the Indian Constitution. Reasonable discrimination among the citizens can only be made by the State by passing a proper law but here judiciary has stepped in to take this burden on its own shoulder, which is leading a very subjective interpretation of the doctrine created by it.

With the time, the doctrine which was supposed to be a principle based doctrine has now turned into a Judge-centric doctrine. If Judiciary still wants to keep this doctrine then they need to ascertain specific elements and circumstances on the basis of which the doctrine would completely rest. I feel that it is high time for the legislature to step in and clear the fog surrounding this doctrine because judiciary is giving a lot of subjective interpretation and in the course of that it is formulating itself as a “Super-legislative”.

Cyber Defamation in India www.pathlegal.in

The common use of internet has also given a new face to the crime and also a new medium to the bad elements to commit crime. Cyber defamation is a new concept but the traditional definition of the term is defamation of a person through a new and a potential medium. The term defamation is used to define the injury that incurred to the reputation of a person in the eyes of a third person. The so called injury can be done by verbally or written, or by signs or visible representations. The intention of the person, making the defamatory statement against whom, must be to lower the reputation of that person in the eyes of the general public.

Cyber law is the law that governs the crimes committed within the cyberspace. Cyberspace is a technical term used for the electronic medium of computer networks, in which online communication takes place. The crimes that are committed by using the computer fall within the definition of cyber crime. Cyber Defamation is also a cyber crime. Penalties for this crime vary from country to country. Stopping or addressing defamation can be difficult. If the person has no serious resentment, then a cease and discontinue letter may stop the behavior and get the statements removed from the Internet. On the other hand, if the person is acting out of meanness, it may be necessary to file a report with the police depending on local law.  INDIAN PENAL CODE, 1860 contains provisions to deal with the menace of Cyber defamation in India.

Death penalty – a true punishment? i.indiaopines.com

submitted 1 year ago by in Politics

Read/Discuss. Details
Article Details

The social contract was never a consensus for the state’s excessive power to take away the life of any person whether guilty or innocent to add to it the authority given to state was to create reformation of the society and death penalty is exhaustive of jurisprudence of punishment.

Furthermore, Article 21 clearly states about the Protection of life and personal liberty that clearly means that no person shall be deprived of his or her life and personal liberty. However, even though this right is limited to some restrictions by the state but such restrictions does not extend to taking away a person’s life. Therefore, the state cannot take anyone’s life under any circumstances, as the state will violate the article 21 of the constitution.

Also in some cases, new facts are discovered which gives the right to a re trial but the use of death penalty is exhaustive of such rights. The concept of criminal jurisprudence which states that it is better to free criminals than to punish an innocent. Capital punishment brings out a feeling of revenge and a trend of death in the society that is against the law, as the law itself aims at the peaceful and nonviolent working of the society. The whole idea of the social contract is to prevent commission of acts as gruesome as taking away life and if the state is involves in such acts, even though it might not be termed as murder, is still of the same kind and leads us back to the state of anarchy. Also by giving death penalty as the punishment, the law is creating a satisfaction in the minds of the family of the victim and such reliefs is not furthering the institution of peace and non-violence. The justification of punishment such as death penalty is deterrence, and then there are a number of studies that prove that deterrence is ineffective.

There is an argument for death penalty that if the convicts are only imprisoned then it is a waste of taxpayer’s money. But I would like to argue that the law instead of punishing them with death penalty, they should be forced into labor to earn sufficient to their survival. This not only saves the taxpayers money but also increases the man force and hence more productivity for the society.

It has been understood from a number of cases of attempt to suicide, that most convicts would rather suffer pain of death which lasts for anywhere between few minutes and few hours than to be imprisoned for their life by law. And death penalty as a punishment is providing them with what they need. It will be an easy way out for them from their inhuman actions, which they have done. Other punishments such as solitary housing units should be implemented for crueler punishment.

To conclude, death penalty as a punishment does not do justice as it obviously is not reformative or retributive and neither deterrence. Therefore, I believe that death penalty should cease to exist in a society whose point is to further peace and nonviolence, hence away from a state of anarchy.
